Mister Pink
Cursed with 98.93% and my fustration at the shooting range I had given up. I said I'd give it another try and finally I got it only to be cursed with 99.47%. All I remember was when most people were completing it years ago some complained about 99.47%. It wrecked my head for ages. Then it came to me. I saw that my Firefighting level was at Level 8. Yes, I thought. This will be great. I'm going up to my mates to drink and smoke a few. I'll complete it there to show the lads. Especially that my mate Bob is pretty much a games-mater but he never had the disipline to complete story missions in any GTA even though he pretty much introduced me to GTA. Firefighter missions complete. Nothing happened. Bollox. I went home depressed and try to figure out what was up. I did freight missions again...blah, blah, blah. Then I decided. I'll try Beat the Cock (the race, not bedroom pastimes) I had and idea this race doesn't count for 100% completion but when I started the race I was week and slow. I thought I'd beef my CJ up as I always keept him skinny because I didn't think all the muscle suited him. I beefed him up and did training with the gym dude and then I seen those sweet words: Stats upgraded, 100%...... Useless Stuff: Criminal Rating: O.G. Playing Time : 96Hrs 55Mins Days Passed in Game : 349 (just short of a GTA year) Gangs Recruited Gang Members Killed : 51 (R.I.P Homies) Enemy Gang Members Killed : 2,361 Crimes Stars Obtained/Evaded respectively : 928/626 Times Busted : 5 People Wasted : 5,562 Property Damaged : $4,799,56.00 Gambling Money Lost Gambling : $165450384.00 Money Won Gambling : $1078609408.00 Biggest Gambling Win : $119999936.00 Biggest Gambling Loss : $9999995.00 All gold in all Driving Schools. GTA_Loco
I'll try Beat the Cock (the race, not bedroom pastimes) That's one hell of a long time to achieve 100%. Congrats just the same for finally completing it. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/268059-finally-100/#findComment-4067361 Share on other sites

HolyGrenadeFrenzy
@ ThePinkFloydSound > So what to do now....Start over and go get the "special vehicles on System Errors Bulletproof car walk through or enter the minimum kill challenge, huh. Those vehicles are allot of fun and some are downright useful.....like the BP/EP/FP/DP HPV-1000 and the BP/EP/FP/DP Maverick and the BP/EP/FP/DP anything is useful for gang wars and stunts. The mimimum kill chanllenge is more for if you are a true tactichian with nerves for mimimizing and maximizing and I consider it a truely worthy challenge for mastering GTA Skills while we all wait for GTA 4. What will you do with yourself now....collect...take on another challenge ...maybe use the new glich for getting territories all over to bring the gang fighting and put grove street families all over the map in SF and LV too? But first reward yourself and enjoy the basking glow of victory for as long as you feel you can. Then use that confidence for whatever next challenge you take up. Mister Pink
Hehe, thanks lads for all the congrats guys. You make it worth my while finishing GTA. I think I'll get LCS again and try complete that. I don't know. Actually, I'd love to do the gang wars glitch and fight again. That was great Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/268059-finally-100/#findComment-4069439 Share on other sites
The-Exploited
I've never got 100% in any GTA game, i've been too lazy, but now i think it could be fun so i'm going to look for all the oysters and horseshoes (i always do the tags first so my gang has the mp5 and the desert eagle instead of stupid 9mm's) so i guess i'm just missing the taxi, police, fire and medic minigames to complete it Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/268059-finally-100/#findComment-4069486 Share on other sites

Then your drive skill goes up , you have more armor and health, you are fireproof, and after you beat the burglary mission you have unlimited sprint.......Worth getting it done early. Just a note to people that beat the game and decide to start over. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/268059-finally-100/#findComment-4069502 Share on other sites

HolyGrenadeFrenzy
I'm a real loser. I got San Andreas 5 months ago and I've gotten 100% 4 times already. Ok, 5 monthes is lets say 23 weeks so 23 x7x24 =3864hrs to work with. How many hrs in the beating per time roughly and How many times do you start completely over by starting a new game? Also don't forget you personnal real life eat and sleep times are not figured in yet and school isn't either in case that is important, neither is any job or passtime outside the game. Including, friends unless they are there with you while you play. I figure 60-80 hrs per completion minimium. Maybee even 100hrs to give his learning time in such a short time unless the time is irrelevant because he learned on his friends games first or something. Did you have a memory card with a save from such an occasion or anything of this nature? How far are you into your 5th run? You do have friends that come over right? You do need peers. Especially if you are a gamer. You are not a loser. Maybe you need to talk to your kind of people more. But you are definitely not a loser. Completing the game that many times in a short period of time is quite an undertaking. Must have some serious skills in gaming. Impressive you claim is no matter your age or experience. Perhaps you should look into "Special Car" collecting like those on System Errors Bulletproof Car page. Maybe the MINIMIUM KILL CALLENGE is for you too. This should bring you to realize that the fruiting of gamers doesn't need to be socially exceptable to everyone but we do need to stick up for our own don't we. Just because your stranded without those whom support you in an undertaking doesn't mean you are alone. GAMERS UNITE! -/TNT\-
i figure 60-80 hrs per completion minimium. Hahaha, 60-80 hours? I got to the LV missions in about 3 hours. Are you including anything but the main story line? 100% completion requires more than that just for the vehicle missions.....like twice that just for the vehicle missions and that doesn't include the races either. Then.....well check your % stat on your Progress Made % on Misc. Craig Kostelecky
That's very true. You can complete End of the Line (which is techically the end of the game) with only having 45.45% done. Just getting to Las Venturas is nowhere near completing the game to 100%. Game Finished then Credits it lasts a pretty good while with scenes of SA all over the background........I like that part. Mister Pink
Yeah, my first save file was nearly 150hrs. No joke. I was jobless for a while and wasn't in college. I'd play around, explore, do other crap and if I made a bit of progress, I'd save it. Then I took 100% more seriously. I restarted everything and tried to complete the game as fast as I could. Then I gave up on doing it as fast as I could because it wasn't as much fun. I had played the game for about 200+hrs at this stage. So, if I had difficulty with any missions I'd put it down for a good while. I haven't played S.A. for about 10 months until a few days ago when I got browned off at the fact I didn't have 100% I'm glad I did now. People who don't play GTA or are not that framiliar with GTA don't really realise how hard the game is in terms of completion. Especially missions like the Chilliad Challenge and Gold Medals in the Driving schools. Can you imagine the new set of objectives in GTA IV? It's going to be great. I wasn't an active member of the GTAF as soon as S.A. came out. I'm glad I am now, because no matter how many times you've played/completed GTA in the past, we'll all be alien to the the secrets and suprises that GTA IV will bring. Most of us will be playing on new consoles. It's the first time GTA will be improved or has taken a big step since GTA went '3-d'. I have done all the races, all the storyline missions, all tags, all horseshoes and all oysters. And I'm sure most of that time is f*cking around too. I'm sure someone could do everything in less than 20 hours if they played business like. And....I am sure the objectives will chanllenge us in new and probrably inappropriate ways in the future with GTA4, at least I hope so. If GTA4 isn't over the top of GTA SA in ALL aspects of the game it will be a huge let down. That may be difficult for R* but after seeing and playing many of their other games I still am hopeful. The basking glow is still with you then? Nice. Well, completion of such a task doesn't seem as big a deal as it is even when you look at the play times on your stats either because you are not getting the time lost after each restart from a save......Ya know did something I didn't like or something was ripped from my garage or dammit I can do better than that....load save start again. That time is there but not on the read outs. It is experience that is still yours though and the completion is finally there. It goes faster the next time, unless you are insane and go car collecting like I do or play the minimium kill challenge.......Regular gaming times are irrelivent when you have ulterior motives.
