[WIP] Viktor Tsoy in SA

Been working on it this morning. Not done yet, your opinions please. Viktor Tsoy (one of Russian Rock legends, RIP) put in San Andreas... I'll screw around with the texture a bit more, improving parts and all that - then release...

 

Yeah, I know, this mod has no purpose... Just skinning work on a ped. xD

I don't know this person, but the modelling and texturing looks good. I need him in-game to test the bones and stuff to draw conclusons, really.

ROFL. The 'polnostyu Russkie' street gang guys must say: 'Tokka ya chotta nih-huya ne po'all'. Universal accent, across all the Russian cities; it works everywhere.

I guess, M1xa doesn't like the underground rock music of the early 80's. De gustibus non est disputandum.

 

Well. Back to the skin. Tsoy was of Korean ethnicity, you know. I.e. you have to add some Asian features to his face. Look at his nose, btw. Especially at the bridge of his nose. Add some shadow, probably. His eyes too - currently he's looking like an ordinary Caucasian guy. His cheek-bones too.

Another thing - his haircut. You know - the 80's guys were hmmm... shaggy (?). Look at these picks.

And at the pick of his band - the same story. A distinctive feature - his haircut. Probably you can paint the hair on his forehead.

 

To be honest - now it is soooo hard to recognize Viktor Tsoi in your ped. Do you remember other guys from that rock-generation (last years of the USSR, the end of 70-s - beginning of the 80-s). People were looking so funny.

Actually ('as is') you can name your character as Butussov, Kinchev, Bashlachev, Naumenko (see the picks below) with the same result. The biggest difference - they were Russians (ethnically). Make you Tsoy more Korean guy, cause he was a very famous Russian-Korean (not as stupid Anita, btw).

 

Butussov. Practically, the same hair (open forehead) and the same face proportions.

 

Bashlachev. He died young (just as Tsoi did). Similar features.

 

Kinchev. The oldest living dinosaur from the 80-s. Blond. Unfortunately. As most of the Russians. But his haircut is compatible with your mesh.

Yeah, I could make somebody else out of it, I guess. In GTA texturing, a thing that kind of pisses me off, when you have the face on the texture looking exactly like Tsoy, it doesn't mean it will be the same in-game.

 

No matter what I tried, the Asian traits still don't appear on Tsoy.

 

I'll give Kinchev a go sometime. :3
