Mixolydian
I decided to do something funny and showed up to this race (the one where CJ meets Wu Zi) in a Perennial. I figured that would show me how important the car selection is in winning the race. After all, you can't get much worse than the Perennial. The first time through, I was in 1st place, but rolled the car near the end, losing my position. The second time through, I finished first with a time of 3:39. The results of my not-very-scientific study suggest it's all about the driver and not about the car.

Mister Zero
Let's see, a list of all the cars we want him to race in... Walton Camper And now mine... Tractor Journey Trashmaster Flatbed Linerunner (Not too bad actually, you can build up some speed and knock some shizzle out of the way) Any more? Mixolydian
I should take a Forklift up there! But it does make me wonder what is the crappiest vehicle I can use to win that race. The Perennial sets the bar pretty low, but I think I can get a bit lower.

Saget
Sad thing is, this race only allows cars. No bikes or motorbikes... and I suppose some other vehicles that would be classified as "cars" aren't allowed, but I'm far from sure, you'll have to test that by yourself... |DeviantArt|Flickr|YouTube|#amf|

Wa-sh
The results of my not-very-scientific study suggest it's all about the driver and not about the car. Or, it'd be appropriate to quote Shawn from The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift "It's not the ride, it's the rider." Also, that happens to be one of my favourite all time quotes. I especially love to use it when I shock others by saying I've been working on the same PC (PIII-450) for the past 10 years Edited February 22, 2007 by Wa-sh
crazyanurag
sadly, CJ can't use the Forklift or the Mower for this race...included in this list are also the Hotring Racer, Monster and Rhino...the Tanker is actually a good bet on getting this on the first shot...CJ can use the Quad, though, and this mission is quite fun when using it...i tend to agree, thus, with Mixolydian...only i'd say that it's more about the driver than the car... on the PS2, however, CJ can use bikes...i remember having done this with a Sanchez, and that's the first vehicle i looked for when i came to this race on the PC, but only to my dismay You'll Never Walk Alone
Mixolydian
only i'd say that it's more about the driver than the car... I actually do agree with that. I was exaggerating a bit. But yes, at some point a car can be so bad that it will never win, even with the best driver. My point is really more that the vast majority of cars can win the race, and one need not fret about whether they need to go find a Bullet or steal Catalina's Buffalo or whatever. In other words, one need not spend much time trying to find the perfect car for the race, because anything at least as good as a Perennial (which sucks) can win. Lioshenka
i remembr doing another Woozys race where they give you a car automatically, and it really sucked because i tend to use rancher more often in the countryside

HolyGrenadeFrenzy
Has anyone tried a police vehicle and will they get out of the way if you use the sirens?
Craig Kostelecky
I tried the police rancher (very nice offroad vehicle) and they would not let me in. So I usually use the regular rancher. Edited March 4, 2007 by Craig Kostelecky
Pranjal
Go race with a Walton... I wanna see you win with that. You can modify a Walton in Transfender and fit it with Nitro and off road wheels .That won't remain a Walton anymore.Try it.
