gillies
Your video card is an onboard Intel one. It is possible that it only has 32 MB of the memory allocated to it and if it is that way it could be the reason San Andreas is crashing, as it requires 64 MB of video memory. You might be able to increase the amount of video memory to 64 MB in the BIOS, which should be accessible by holding down F2 when you turn the computer on. Check the manual to find out where the settings are. If that isn't possible, or doesn't fix the problem you will only be able to upgrade the video by getting a PCI video card, because the computer doesn't have an AGP slot. gremlin2033
Can you possibly walk me through the process to do that plz?
gillies
From the manual page for your system BIOS there doesn't appear to be a setting for the amount of memory to allocate to the graphics, so the first option may not be possible but have a look at the directions on that page and see what you can find in there if you like. Upgrading to a PCI video card is the same as installing any other PCI card. You would need to buy a PCI video card obviously. I don't know what is available where you live so I don't know what to recommend. Once you have one follow the manual pages for opening the case, installing a card, and replacing the case. You will also need to go to the BIOS (see link above for how this works) and change the Primary Video from whatever the default is to probably PCI. It would pay to get someone to do this for you if you don't think you can do it yourself.
