kaileingod Posted February 20, 2007 Share Posted February 20, 2007 (edited) i have tried everything i know of and it still comes up with the same error message im desperate plz help me!!! ok installed gta sa first time didnt run came up with this annoying error message tried it second time with full access from fire wall same thing happened uninstalled re-installed same error message tried it again and same thing happend went online for help found some help in downloading gta sa cold.zip v1.01 read the problems in faq and i tried but to no avail still came up some problem when back to shops and got another copy and its still happening ive got two Hard drives 2 dvd drives and im desperate my pc currently has all the latest drivers and has a ati radeon 9800 pro graphics card along with 1 gb of ram and amd athlon 1.53 GHZ please is there any one who can help me? also i cant find the file called gta_sa.set looked through my entire temp files im also using XP service pack 2 Edited February 20, 2007 by kaileingod Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Seddo Posted February 20, 2007 Share Posted February 20, 2007 Have you tried updating your graphics card to the latest version. Might be a long shot but i heard that if you delete the 'gta_sa.set file' which can be found in C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\GTA San Andreas User Files the game works again, so try that. kaileingod Posted February 21, 2007 Author Share Posted February 21, 2007 (edited) hi ya i found my problem i was missing the latest Windows installer and thats why it would not work just took 3 days to get going thank god its over! my graphics card is a beast it runs stuff it shouldnt i also play half-life 2 and cs: source aswell as need for speed carbon at max graphics and get no problems at all a lag spike every hours or so but thats about it scratch that just installed nfs carbon now it wont run and i've tried uninstalling and re-installing etc any suggestions? kaileingod Posted February 21, 2007 Author Share Posted February 21, 2007 ok it ran perfect first time i installed it with windows installer 3.1 now after i installed another game it wont run at all but i only did play the game once after i installed it i cant find any file named gta_sa.set and it comes up with a error report leading to my temp folder which is empty i tried launching the game looking at my temp folder at the same time and a file apeared for a fraction of second then it comes up with the same error report I've tried everything now and it looks like im gonna go nuts before i find a cure pleases help me need help asap!!!!
