E.A.B.
I'm ashamed to say that the only Final Fantasy game I've played is 7 yes, the most overrated one. I'm planning on playing 8, and any other ones on the PSX. I'll also buy the ones on GBA and am thinking of buying III on the DS.
RearEndCollision
I'm ashamed to say that the only Final Fantasy game I've played is 7 yes, the most overrated one. That's arguable. People could very easily say that X is the most overrated one. Personally, I love both of them; one for the games themselves and two being that fact that they bring people into the entire series. Yeah.
Mark
I'd agree with X being the most overrated...It's an awesome game don't get me wrong...but really didn't stand up to the PSone versions...I guess I just like the old formula. 8 is cool in the fact it's probably the closest to the real world you're gonna get....though the "Weapon" bosses are too easy in it (The End attack...lol). 9 is alright but I didn't really like the "arg gloomy apocalypse" feel to it. Felt like a half-assed version of what was in FFVI...which is probably my 2nd favourite final fantasy. Can't beat attacking an enemy 8 times in one turn with 1 character too! Not even FF7 matched that (at 4x) Mwahaha. Celes with Ultima Weapon = Win. lol. 7 ftw though...Morphing the enemies on the Gelnika to max out stats was great fun...Cloud was untouchable! Brutuz
Does playing Kingdom Hearts twice count as FF experience? It has FF characters.......
E.A.B.
It has FF characters....... But is it a FF game? No, it isn't, it's made by Square, but it isn't a FF title, it's a KH title. it counts as a Square experience. 7 ftw though...Morphing the enemies on the Gelnika to max out stats was great fun...Cloud was untouchable! But it took so f*cking long I never finished it. the leveling up, I mean. My characters were around Lvl 80-85 or so in the last battle. Edited February 21, 2007 by E.A.B. RearEndCollision
Does playing Kingdom Hearts twice count as FF experience? It has FF characters....... Well, does the game begin with the words Final Fantasy and is followed by a roman numeral? If the answer is yes; than yes. If the answer is no; than no and you probably shouldn't of wasted the time asking. --- I need to cave in, and buy a TV because this whole not having it things sucks. Anyone want to donate? GTAThomas
I played one of these a long time ago on the original Playstation. I don't know which one, but it got old really fast. It was like 2D cartoony sh*t. I may be opt to rent one of these again, though.

Thanks for telling me. I don't know the difference, so... My characters were around Lvl 80-85 or so in the last battle. mine weren't even that. mine were around 60. but isn't it true that the bosses levels (and thus hp) go up the more levels you get (for the final bosses i mean)? Mafia Righthand_Man
I think 8 is pretty underrated. It's definitely one of my all time favorites for an RPG.
Twang of Cauliflower
^I agree. the leveling up, I mean. My characters were around Lvl 80-85 or so in the last battle. I was level 99...mostly due in fact that I used cheats. But I played without them again later and got to the end at around level 60, but lost interest before going into the crater. I've got a bad habit of that. As for other FF's, I own 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, I & II (on GBA), and Tactics. The rest, I have on emulators (except 11). V: Ha, forgot about X-2. I'm in possession of that, too. Edited February 21, 2007 by Twang of Cauliflower
original gangster
W-Summon KOTR > W-Summon KOTR > Mime > Mime > Mime = Win Link KOTR with a HP absorb and you're pretty much invincible. I was going to level up my characters and try beating the weapons, lost interest while trying to max them out though. May try again, someday. I've been out of the FF series for a while now, last one I played was X-2. Might get back into it and buy Final Fantasy XII.
MrLorenzo
The only one I've played through is VI (as part of Anthology for the PSX). f*cking loved that game. Couldn't really get into V or VII. Not tried any of the others.
All-Blacks
I only really got into two FF games, FFVII and FFX. All the rest were crap especially FFIX and FFX-2, they were utter shyte.
Hell No..
X-2 I took back, didnt like it. FFVII still tops it for me though, the Emerald battle, woo, what a rush! I'm on Twitch! Are you? Lost-Fender
I'm ashamed to say that the only Final Fantasy game I've played is 7 yes, the most overrated one. How do you know it's the most overrated one if it's the only one you've ever played? FFVII is far the best one, I say, and it's my favourite. It's the reason why I still keep my PSone. My only argument is all these new sequels. Advent Children was good, I liked it, but they say Dirge of Cerberus is crap... I think they shouldn't continue pushing it and just leave it like that. I mean, they could end up ruining the original game/saga. Opinion, please.
original gangster
FFVII is alright but there's better FF games imo. Plus they're whoring the crap out of it. Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core for the PSP? And even rumours about a remake of it for the PS3... christ. cant wait for FF 13 i heard the Konami director officially announced that FF 13 and their next games will use Unreal 3 engine.Wtf is Unreal engine in a RPG game i wonder?? They've licensed the unreal 3 engine for some next generation titles, but FFXIII is using a new engine, known as the "White Engine".

Mark
Haha was about to say the exact same thing . Now all we need for them to sound like Scousers and we're set! Actually my step bro bought FF-12 today, he's getting into it but as my PS2s officially died I'm gonna have to play it when he's not around, so I'll probs have an FF-bashing session tomorrow for sh*ts n giggles. Vanzant
I played them all up to FFX...there was retarded voice acting and a silly story that didn't seem to fit with all the others, I ended up trading it for Halo 2. FF7 and FF5 were my two best to play.
jammi567
What was so silly about the story? VII has a stupider one.
MyMothersMySister
FFX was the last one I played and the only one I started and didn't finish. I just couldn't relate to the world or main character at all and the blitzball minigame wasn't half as immersive (for me) as the card trading game in previous outings. FF:Tactics followed very closely by FFVII for me. Messiah To The Animals #Cyclop9
