User Track Files

Place any MP3s or shortcuts to MP3 files in your *install directory*\mp3 directory - default is C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\GTAIII\mp3. Then, fire up the game and flick the radio station over to "mp3 Player".

You'll find it quite different to SA's User Tracks option - there's no commercials, and no pre-scanning of the folder required.

I think I once saw a mod that would let you change songs, but I looked and can't find it.  So you pretty much have to listen to the song until it is over.

If anyone knows of this mod, let me know.

Ah, yes, I know what you're talking about. I just found it the other day...

Squiddy's MP3 control

I stopped using it because I didn't like how the position of the radio station names were moved (it covered up most mission text) and how it stayed there...
