A little help if possible

Hi all,

 

I have 2 HD's in my PC, a few weeks agao I discovered that I had XP installed on both drives, so I wiped one, then re booted and it said no OS, so i tried to change the boot options in BIOS, I got the correct HD to boot, with ZP, all is fine, But I cannot for the life of me get the other HD working properly. The PC see's it in BIOS and Device manager see's both HD's aswell. But I cannot get 'My computer' to see the other drive.

Here is a shot of what I mean.

Any help on solving this would be great.

There probably aren't any partitions on the harddisk.

 

Right click on My Computer, select 'Manage'. Go to 'Disk Management' under Storage.

The hard disk should be there and you should be able to create a new partition (right click the white 'free' space and select New Partition' or something).

If there are partitions on it then it should show up there aswell and maybe you need to assign a drive letter to get it working.

Worked a treat, I must have done something when I tried to wipe it all a few weeks ago,

Followed what you said,20 seconds, 300GB showed up like Magic!
