Too Fat to do a mission?

I was playing through just running around - I had the airport and did the flying missions - settled for silver in all. I was running through the missions and never worked out once. At this stage - I was at about 75% fat. I went to do "Black Project" and The Truth calls me - and I say "How ya doin'?" and he says "Better than you, fat a$$" I was, what?! Then he said I was too fat to do the mission and sent me packing.

 

Are there other levels like this? This is the first I've ever seen - but why do I need to be skinny for this? I used to think he was my friend...

This is one of those alternate cutscene, there's a couple of them throughout the game. Some missions require you to be a certain weight, have a decent amount of lung capacity, etc.

 

I'm not sure why you need to be somewhat skinny for this particular mission, maybe it has to do something with jumping or climbing? Anyhow, just go to the gym, lose some weight and you'll be fine.

Off of the top of my head, I can only remember two missions that require stats- this one, Black Project, which requires you to be skinny, and Amphibious Assault, which requires increased lung capacity.

CJ might possibly too heavy, at 75% fat, for the Jetpack? "Black Project" requires a Fat Stat of 45% or less to allow CJ to start the mission...

Yes that's what I was thinking too. I'm not sure, but I think CJ can ride the jetpack at 75% fat outside the mission.

I guess if you're low on health a lot you eat more, but that's what salads and prostitutes are for. I didn't know until my second time playing that any of the missions required certain stats.

I was aware of the Amphibious Assault condition, but not the Black Project one. Fascinating. I usually run through the game with, like, 10% fat at all times. I have more trouble keeping it on than off.
