Groovy
Best thing I have ever seen. Whole thing told this story of how the D died, put a band togather in hell, and rocked off with Lucifur. They were also filming the show for a DVD, which was awesome. It was amazing, it was more like a rock opera than a normal concert. Whole thing pretty much told a story of them jamming in KG's house, and then dying, and forming a band in hell(with Cornal Sanders on drums, Charlie Chaplin on bass, and the anti-christ, who looked like jusus, on electric guitar) This is pretty much what they played(not in order) Kielbasa Tribute(part of encore) Wonderboy f*ck Her Gently(part of encore) Dio Kyle Quit The Band The Road Lee(Lee breakdanced) Friendship Karate Double Team(band introduction + jamming) Kickapoo History Master Exploder The Divide Papagenu (He's My Sassafrass) Dude (I Totally Miss You) Break In-City (Storm The Gate!)/Car Chase City Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown) The Metal The Wizard Anyone else see them on this tour? Groovy
Please tell me Dio made an appearance. The closest thing to Dio at the show was that they played Neon Knights over the PA before the show. Jack sang the Dio part of Kickapoo, did a pretty good job too. Jack_Knife
I saw them when they played in Brisbane in January. It was indeed very awesome. I was so happy they played Flash and the Saxoboom. And they ended with medley of songs from The Who's Tommy. "You can play faster than Al Di Meola and do it with only one pinky, but if you're not listening to what is going on around you, you might as well just shut up" isn't your croth suppose to be erecting when you have an orgasm? TheDude5000
Man I really gotta get some of these new shows. I only have the show from the Masterworks DVD. You know, when they were at the Duder puts on British accent Brixton Academy.
TenaciousD.
TD (the member) will love this topic I do. I tried to get tickets to the tour but it sold out, shame because if its how you say I really missed out. The Masterworks DVD was great, all the extras were great and the HBO episodes were brilliant. I'll have to keep a lookout for this new DVD, sounds amazing. Something tells me a 2 disk again, the second having all the Hell O Clock episodes etc. and loads of POD goodies. darthYENIK
I want to see them. I've had the masterworks DVD for a few months. They seem like a good show.
TheDude5000
I've had it for about two years I really want to get the Collectors Edition of POD, and of course the DVD. I recently bought the entire Mr. Show series as well, so it's gonna be a pretty interesting spring.
Saggy
I probably would've saved up some money to go if I had even known they were playing. Oh well... But, yeah, I expect they'd be pretty bad ass live. I think I had a friend who saw one of their live shows before and really loved it. I carry the pick(or should I say "Thee Pick") around in my wallet. Speaking of DVDs. POD comes OUT NEXT WEEK!
IMAGHEY
That sounded like a kickass show, man. TD is definitely now one of the bands I must see live. Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown) must have been amazing live, I love that song.
