When did you feel most immersed in San Andreas?

Recommended Posts

San Andreas is an extremely immersive game, though it took me a while to really get it. Just yesterday I was riding across Santa Maria Beach with 187 playing on the radio in my green Oceanic searching for tags, and I realized how in-depth this game can really get. When did you feel fully immersed?

I really liked the game, i liked the first mission pedalling on teh BMX so i re started that mission about 10 times before i actually started proper, then it got even better when i was playing the last few mission in Los Santos.

I got into the final missions the most, during the riots, taking over territorys. It's like I'd go into war mode and took over every hood I could as fast as I could. The whole riot sequence is so chaotic, it makes it fun as hell to get into some wars.

i first got immesed in San An....actually from jump start, because the way they did it...jus comin bacc from Liberty City and gettin hassled by police. and left to get home on your own. i dont think there has ever been a game dat starts out like that lol but it jus made me feel like 'this is a real situation, i got to make it home safely'. u know?

Loved it from the first mission. Wish there were more BMX missions. Kept using the BMX for most of my missions in Los Santos. Infact I know a few friends who never do any mission other than the BMX. They just keep restarting the game, then they enter cheats and cause havoc, and they restart again the next day biggrin.gif

I got immersed in the game during reuniting the familys and also just while i was driving around. During the mission i felt like i was in a movie it felt great, i have never had an experience like that on any other game.

Also while i was driving slowly in my lowrider past the reeces barber shop. It was sunset and the glare from the sun was in my eyes and there were a couple of grove street ogs on the side of the road. I felt like i was realy there.

I got immersed after CJ was kidnapped by Tenpenny, and was put in the Countryside. From there on, I knew this game would be amazing, and the feeling of losing everything was there.

Living the life of someone else, was an escape of the harsh reality here, it was my drug, and still is.

^^San Andreas, it's like an alternate reality...if u're havin a bad day, ppl gettin on your nerves...girlfriend jus dumped u...play GTA: San An lol really tho', i beat the game once, and den restarted and stopped after Reuniting the Families, so i can jus live life in Los Santos...hangin around, bangin', and dating CJ's first love lol

ahem.....Do you guys really go up for air? ...... Just kidding! You said immersed in a past tense reference and I joked!......Yeah I know it is a stupid pun......But in all seriosness things have just changed because the story immersion has lost a little luster after several times but the replay value is still fairly high......Probrably the winter 2004 until summer 2005 or something.,,,,Now I am involved in other GTA SA challenges of my own and some of which are posted here. I am gonna start in Late but still give the Mimiumum Kill Challenge again because on the particular save I am looking at I know I can do better. That and I am still trying to find a non-cheating way of getting the BP/EP/FP/DP Infernus from the Beat Down of B-Dup Mission and man I may be running out of options.

During teh first LS missions, I was really immersed, there was like a WOW factor cos I'd just be driving along when some balla/cop starts shooting and I run. But the best bit was when Id get lost in LS and find myself in some next, unfamiliar place and id look around and think WOW! itd make the place feel so big and real.

right after CRASH throw you out the car, the begining is diff than the other GTA's because R* is just throwing you out in enemy turf with no gun, no melee weapons and no car. I crashed my bike and was running until 5 ballas walked up to me and I replied negativly, resulting them into shooting at me while I ran. running to CJ's house was survival

I just have to tell about that time I thought I was in San Fierro.. tounge.gif I was playing that mission in the badlands where you have to follow those bandits on quads... So i chased them and at the end of the mission I thought I was in the hills of San Fierro. But no - I was in fact in Los Santos! LMAO lol.gif

(This happened before I discovered SF)

I had a similar experience once. I got bored at the beggining of losing at a mission on the first couple of days I had been playing and I spawned a Hydra. I took off and landed in Los Santos downtown where there are the star shaped tiles. I thought I was in Las Venturas. Little did I know I was just a few minutes drive away from Grove Street.
