fox09 Posted February 18, 2007 Share Posted February 18, 2007 @ my friends house, and his 'puter keeps crashing while playing certain games. First, the screen flashes black, completely locks up, have to do a hard reboot, and the speakers end up looping the same sound repeatedly. We've already ruled out over-heating, so it seems, and drivers are all the latest. The main the game that it crashes is WoW, but it just started crashing GRAW now too. It's a new compy, he ordered it off NCIX, and it's got all uber-hardware, so lack of hardware capabilities isn't a problem. Also, sometimes it'll just automatically reboot the computer. So what can we do? We want to have a LAN-fest next weekend, and we need this computer to work. All help is appreciated. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I had a problem with this type of thing before, do you get any errors when it crashes at all ? I used to get one about 'Memory Dump', which basically can be a memory module that is loose inside the computer. This caused all my programs to crash, games aswell. Brutuz Posted February 19, 2007 Share Posted February 19, 2007 Sometimes it isn't best to have the latest drivers, Maybe try uninstalling the drivers, tehn installing later versions, Or send it back under Warranty, and then they will fix it. omega_c Posted February 19, 2007 Share Posted February 19, 2007 I can't help you much, but I just wanted to say that I'm having the same problem... I found that it happened more when I was running a lot of other programs... It works fine unless I'm running Firefox with a lot of tabs, stuff like that.
