dertyjerzian
Has anyone else had this problem with launching, viewing and closing col editor II? Worked fine for weeks... And I've downloaded a new one too. These dll files, are they maybe corrupted? I don't want to poke around until I hear something Thank you
steve-m
Looks like a problem with the Nvidia OpenGL drivers, did you update those recently? Could try to install the latest graphics driver from their website...

DexX
actually steve, i've got a question too; does your program automatically try to connect to the internet for any reason? every time i launch it, if i'm not connected to the net, i get prompted to connect, which only happens with apps that are, well, trying to get online for some reason... its quite annoying really. dertyjerzian
not my question to answer, but it does indeed. I granted it, I believe it is for updates n no more errors
steve-m
n no more errors So it works again? @dexx: Yea, it checks for updates once a week or so. A simple way to avoid that is to edit CollEditor2.ini and change LastUpdateCheck to a high value. IIRC the unit for that value is days, so adding 400 should avoid checking within the next year. However, if you do a (successful) manual update check, that value will be overwritten again. I wanted to add that to the options some day, but I don't think I'll update it anytime soon. dertyjerzian
Indeed, must have been a leftover system burp from my drivers fiasco, Steve Thank you though <3 And one quick suggestion, if you do end up pulling out the COLedII source is this: A "create library from ID" function. Sort of like "sort by IDE", but prior to actually having the file to sort. So basically, I could export 15 col files and then load them into COLeditII by defining a col path (like Kam's dff path dialog) and then defining the IDE, it will name a new file and add the corresponding files in IDE order. Might be too much work to do though, considering it's just as easy to throw them in via drag and drop and then click sort by ide.
