wanted glitch

you'll notice the wanted level arent stars they're police badge symbols .

This is done by editing the TXD file. If you use a TXD tool (Vice TXD for example) to open the 'fonts' file located in the 'models' folder you will see 'font2' and 'font1'. To edit the 'wanted' symbol you will need to view 'font1'. I don't usually mess around with modifying my own txd's so I just tried a little trial and error. Basically what I did was:

Before trying this be sure to make a copy of your 'fonts' file found in the 'models' folder.

1) Used ViceTXD tool to open the 'fonts' file located in the 'models' folder and clicked on 'fonts1'. You should see letters, symbols, numbers, etc. You should also notice the 'wanted star' on the second row down, second from the right (by the '?' mark).

2) Go to the 'command' option at the top, choose export and export both the Texture and Alpha to a place where they can be easily found.

3) Now edit the Alpaha (I just used MS paint) the way that you want it and Save the changes.

4) Again using ViceTXD go to 'command' then 'replace'. It will expect two files. First click on the Texture (font1) and hit 'open'. Next click on the Alpah 'font1m' and hit 'open'. Now when you start the game your wanted stars should reflect any changes that you made.

Here's a couple of pics of the resulting effect my changes had on my stars. All I did (following the above steps) was to add a few black lines to the star symbol in 'font1' using MS paint. Nothing spectacular, but an example non-the less.

Keep in mind that I'm not real familiar with editing my own TXD files (I'm no artist) so the instructions that I gave above may not be the most effective steps OR I may have even gotten a couple of the steps out of sync since I just gave it a try while I had a few minutes to spare. Either way it doesn't seem to be all that hard and with a little practice and creativity you could customize other things in your game. I don't mess with mods all that much these days but I've heard of one that changes the 'birds' into 'flying skulls' and another that changes some of the 'fish' inot a 'floating dead guy'. So no, it's not a glitch, just another mod brought about by creativity, practice, and probably a little talent. Later guys. rampage_ani.gif
