Radier39
Hi, I got GTA:SA for christmas and since then i havent really been able to play it. About 80% of the time when i enter a cutscene the game crashes and without control my computer restarts. The crash can also just happen at random too and sometimes the audio "dies" when there is rain or gunfire. Can anyone help me out? I have a resume of my info right below. platform: PC version number: 2 CPU and its speed: Intel 4 and it is 3GHz how much RAM: 503.3 MB What video card: Intel ® 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset family and controller version of Windows: XP Home Edition Which DirectX version: pretty sure 9.0 What sound card: Realtek high definition audio History: well it never really worked, I thought it was just me until i researched it more. I ran something called like PatchFX and that didn't help and I also tried running it in Windows 98 type thing but that didn't help either.

lahna
Are the drivers up to date? It also seems like you have an integrated graphics card, which can cause problems at least in performance. The on-board graphics controller also uses a certain amount of system RAM as its own memory: this can usually be adjusted from the BIOS. If the VRAM amount is too low, say <64MB, San Andreas will not run properly. Also an automatic reboot could be a cause of overheating or faulty hardware. You can turn off the auto-reboot in WinXP so you will get atleast a blue screen with some info. * Go to Start -> Control Panel * System, Go to Advanced * Under the Startup and Recovery section, click Settings... * Under System Failure un-check "Automatically restart" Googling with an BSOD error message has been useful many times to me However, you did not mention if you have any service packs installed.
