PROOF OF SAN ANDREAS STORIES

Turns out I was. Don't kill me.

Sorry if the title was misleading, but I just felt like a colourful way to introduce this would be fancy. Sorry if i've vexed anybody, and I also apologize for yet another SAS topic. Sorry. And this isn't the official SAS boxart. Its just something I whipped up in Photoshop in about an hour. Its not exactly my best.

But heres an idea I had for a while.

San Andreas is huge, right? Three large cities, each with their own design, atmosphere, enviroment, and unique set of possible missions. How can you just choose one to make the main city from where everybody would have to start?

So I figured "Lets let them choose!"

You could choose to play as three different characters and they each start in one city in the state. Missions would mainly focus in the chosen city, but sometimes would branch out and take the player to certain locations in the state. Progression wouldn't be cyclical around the state, but trips to different cities would be random.

Lets say you were to start out in Las Venturas. One set of missions might require you to stay in San Fierro for a short while. Once those missions are done, you might have to do a few missions that take you out to the desert and Bayside Marina. Then you'll have to go and protect someone in Los Santos.

This is just my basic idea. Know how to make it better?

The title is very misleading. But the boxart makes up for it. The design is okay, but the back of the cover text was amazing. Good writing and I love the idea of you get to pick your path.

Misleading; yes

Entertaining; yes,

Innovative; yes.

I like the idea of choosing who you'll play and where you'll play it, as it gives the option to choose another area the next time round and allows the possibility for a cross over element.

Please Please stop making San Andreas Stories topics! This is not the place to post your ideas/box art for an unannounced game. Please follow pinned topics next time! Do I really need to make a post on how to not make a San Andreas stories topic? I'm sorry if I sound like an ass but we have already had hundreds of San Andreas topics, we really don't need another.

AJ, lighten up. This kid isn't saying something like "i think sas wud b kul biggrin.gif", he made a well thought out topic, with a boxart and three convincing storylines.

Usually I'd tell you to hit AJ (gamerzworld)'s pinned topic, but this seems pretty nice. I like the idea of picking from three people.

Thanks. And I apologize once more for the SAS topic. I know they're abundant and annoying, but I wanted some way to introduce this idea somehow, and I didn't know any other place to do so. I promise I'll never make another SAS topic untill the game is actually announced.

As for the art, I used Photoshop to make it. The front cover is just the San Andreas PS2 boxart cover, and I used a cutout filter on it, and I cropped each picture and made it it's own single colour. The screenshots on the back are early San Andreas screenshots, as I felt they would be nice since to me those pics differ slightly (in relation to ambiance) from what the final game really looks like.

Hey great boxart, and the option to choose between three characters sounds pretty good man. I'm sure San Andreas Stories will come out, but of course, now we have GTA VCS for PS2 to wait for, and GTA IV.

I think a mod could change the title and we could house all of the SAS ideas in this one topic. Well thought out post wink.gif

Its a nice boxart-but the front side is too weak. You should have wasted more time of your life on that.Other than -that wouldnt be a bad story for SAS but still caracter select just wont happen.

Not untill GTA 4 though

The picking your character is retarded, in my opinion. While it's a great idea for a video game in general, it just doesn't belong in GTA.

And the previous two Stories GTA games have taken place prior to the preceding game (LCS -> 1998, GTAIII -> 2001; VCS -> 1984, VC -> 1986), so it would make logical sense that SAS would take place before SA (1992), around 1989 or so.

And while the back of the boxart looks fine, the front looks like crap.

Probaly '91

And I agree on the pick your own character feature. Just isn't gonna work for future GTA titles. It worked in the old ones because they all had the same storyline w/o VA's.

I liked it at first glance but then I realised that all you really did was add some filters to the SA boxart, you did the back yourself but the front cover is the exact same as the SA one.

Umm, you don't own this forum, ok? You didn't even comment on the content of the original post at all..

Anyway, interesting boxart. At least you didn't try passing it off as your own, and I like the idea of multiplayer player characters.

You probably should have taken your own SA screens though, those are very easy to remember promo screens, especially since the Monster one has been used numerous times as the template for bigfoot fakes. Boxart looks a bit off too, you should have taken a digital scan of front/back boxart/box of a PSP game and just worked from there.

But interesting story.
