Mixolydian
On eBay there are some Vice City listings that say "enhanced edition." Is there really an enhanced edition, or is that code for "hacked" or "counterfeit" edition?
omega_c
Could you post a link to the auctions?

Mister Zero
Doesn't sound genuine to me. The only thing remotely similar to this I've heard of is the Platinum Versions of games which are released to fix bugs and/or when a game exceeds sale expectations. omega_c
Here's a copy of the message I just sent them: Hi!Since you're a powerseller and have a huge amount of feedback, I'm relatively sure that this isn't a scam, but I do have one question. In the item description, I noticed this: - Enhanced edition of Grand Theft Auto Vice City featuring improved graphics, audio, control, and customization options What do you mean by "Enhanced"? As far as I know, there is no upgraded version of Vice City, besides a few new releases that fixed missions glitches, etc. Thanks! I'll edit this post/reply with a copy of their response, if any. TonyZimmzy
Sounds like it's been modded
Inky
Couldn't enhanced mean, well, enhanced? Remember how the games looked when they first came out on PS2. Crapish eh. Then remember the XBOX + PC versions. Upp'd polys, better textures, better lighting etc. Maybe that's all they meant?
Spuds725
Couldn't enhanced mean, well, enhanced? Remember how the games looked when they first came out on PS2. Crapish eh. Then remember the XBOX + PC versions. Upp'd polys, better textures, better lighting etc. Maybe that's all they meant? I think that is what is implied-- Its not in the listing title-- it is slightly misleading-- fairly typical of ebay-- I don't think its a cracked version Spuds' GTA V 100% Checklist // My IV & Vice City Videos "I want to design a video game where you take care of all the people shot in all the other video games.... omega_c
I still haven't gotten a response back, so here's my take on it: Someone wants to get a leg up on the competition without lying too much.
fareed
Maybe its just to fool ppl and increase sale or it is modded to do same.
omega_c
I just got this email back from him: The enhancements to the graphics audio and customization were added when the game was moved onto a PC format.

omega_c
Oh, I forgot to ask/mention this: Was it actually "upgraded"? Or was that a total lie?
