there was a topic on this car a while back, and it was determined that the tires weren't actually street legal as its quarter mile time was faster than the record for street legal tires.

 

also, the lingenfelter 427 TT vette does the run to 60 in 1.9 seconds, and is only 1 second slower in the quarter mile so this car doesnt do 0-60 in a second flat. not to mention the corvette can actually, ya know, turn

uhh, yeah. because it's totally impossible for a car to go faster than the record. i would like to point out that if the guy had cut treads the legal size into drag tyres, it would still pass it's MOT as the treads would be big enough.

Around here, tires have to be DOT approved, which goes by sidewall stiffness, not just wether or not its treaded.

 

 

the tires listed on his tech page say mickey thompson drag radials which aren't street legal. if the car had gone faster than the record on street legal tires, those tires would now hold the record. the car isn't 100% street legal, unless over there the only thing they look at is tread depth.

 

ps. looking at this those tires wouldn't pass anyways, as there is no load, speed, or type markings on them
