CptCharisma
I hope it comes to Toronto soon, that would be killer to go. They've never had it in Toronto and now would be a good time since the building is farily new. B Rob
I watched the celebrity all star game yesterday. The east team wasn't even trying lol. In the second half the west would steal the ball and have a 4-1 break away. It was pretty cool to have LT, Bush, Bow Wow, and Jamie Fox in it. Bartleby
It is beyond me how the anchors of Inside The NBA keep their jobs. They are some of the most disfluent and terrible reporters I've ever seen on camera. There's no flow in what they say; it's like they're just sitting on a couch eating Tostitos and chatting while TNT shells out to them another million dollars. It's actually causing me physical pain trying to watch Charles Barkley make another lame joke or trying to make another pseudo-intellectual comment regarding a team and their plight. And, bad as those guys are, the third-string commentators covering the aforementioned celebrity game were even worse. I don't give a sh*t about James Denton's character on Desperate Housewives, I REALLY DON'T. It's like when he was on Monday Night Football all over again. Urgh. In short, some of the worst anchoring jobs have been done in the past couple of days, and it really ruins the game. I'm glad I have a mute button. GTA3Rockstar
Ha I forgot to watch any of the things last weekend! All well, it probably sucked from Bartles' view! GTA3KID
Barkley vs Bavetta was classic. Probably the best event of the weekend. Dunk contest was pretty much, been there seen that. Except for D Howards dunk where he slapped a sticker of himself on the backboard while he was dunking. kingzing
Really, how many dunks can be original before you have to start defying the laws of physics? I'm not ragging on the Dunk Contest - I love it - but surely, there can't much room left for creativity. Michael Jordan's leap from the free throw line pretty much tore a hole in your anus for the laws of phyics, not really but you got the idea! lol Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/267474-nba-discussion/#findComment-4063740 Share on other sites
GTA3KID
Its sad because they tried to bring in ratings by having a 65 year old ref have a race against a retired basketball player. On top of that I hate the celebrity game. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/267474-nba-discussion/#findComment-4063746 Share on other sites

On top of that I hate the celebrity game. Who was it!? Wasn't it Charles Barkley or someone!? Yup Barkley vs Bavetta. I'm surprised either of the two injured themselves. Barkley ran backwards for a couple feet until he fell right on his ass and Bavetta did a sliding nose dive to the finish line. It was hilarious when Barkley fell that dude is so out of shape its not even funny. In other NBA news, Scotty Pippen wants to return and play for a contender, who doesn't? B Rob
Scotty Pippen should stay in retirement IMO. My Cav's won again last night by a point. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/267474-nba-discussion/#findComment-4064452 Share on other sites
GTA3KID
Scotty Pippen should stay in retirement IMO. My Cav's won again last night by a point. That was a good game, I think the Raptors let it slip through their fingertips. The cavs were shorthanded and still pulled it off. Edit: So its been a pretty quite tradedeadline, the Cavs didn't get the point guard they needed and Kidd and Carter didn't go anywhere. Raptors however one of the unlikely teams to make a trade sent Fred Jones to Portland for Juan Dixon and the Mavs sent some Johnson guy to Atlanta for a second round pick. In the end Pheonix still has 3 first round picks and most teams that needed the 1 or 2 players to push into the playoffs (Cavs just name one, I'm not picking on you Cuban) didn't get them. B Rob
Yeah, I agree the Cav's need one more decent player before they can be considered a Championship Contender. GTA3KID
I'm really upset there wasn't any blockbuster trade, or any significant players on the move. I'm guessing a team out of the West is probably going to win the NBA title, considering none of the Eastern Conference teams made any moves. Not even Pau Gasol was traded a guy who wanted to be moved. Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/267474-nba-discussion/#findComment-4064792 Share on other sites
B Rob
The West is way better this year then the east. The 3 best teams are probably from the west. Even in the All-Star game the West was up by at least 20 the whole game. I hope Nash finally gets a ring. gta_player5
So much for the AI and CM combo, the nuggests f*ckin suck! 2-6 with both in the lineup. Ghey Yeah, I was listening to ESPN Radio last night and I heard them say "Allen Iverson and Carmelo Anthony team up for a combined 69 points, but the Nuggets still lose..." I was thinking how can you have two player score nearly 70 points and your team lose? The players around you must be really bad then. lol Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/267474-nba-discussion/#findComment-4068052 Share on other sites
GTA3KID
They're pretty much the whole team, if you shut them down you win, if you shutdown the team and let CM and AI score you still win. I'm going to a Denver game next month, should be dope because all my friends hate AI and we're going to drink before the game, so during the game we'll probably start yelling sh*t at AI or CM. GTA3KID
I know, eh. I was watching when AI and CM both had 29 points each know one else on the team even had double digits. Raptors lost to the f*cking Spurs tonight f*cking sucks, we better take the Rockets though, I'm not too worried though because the Nets go on a 6 game road trip through Texas and 3 other cities in March. Burning-Ice
Damn...did anyone see what happened to Shaun Livingston's leg last night? Poor guy... He is obviously out for the season and will have a lot of work to do to repair his leg. So what are the odds that the Bobcats make the playoffs this year? GTA3KID
That was pretty gross, I hate watching injuries like that. Even hearing about it in graphic detail can't prepare you for how awful it is to watch. His leg snapped like a twig. Let's hope there's a way for him to come back from this. The MRI revealed that Livingston suffered tears to the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), medial collateral ligament (MCL) and lateral meniscus. Livingston also suffered a patella dislocation, in addition to the previously diagnosed tibia/femoral dislocation. http://www.nba.com/clippers/news/livingsto...ate_070227.html Edited March 1, 2007 by GTA3KID Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/267474-nba-discussion/#findComment-4073738 Share on other sites
