just another thug
Well it seems that Audioslave singer Chris Cornell is leaving the group. This right after the announcement that Rage Against The Machine is reuniting for the Coachella festival. Hmm? But Morello still says it's a "One time thing." jimmy.
Awesome news. Audioslave blows and it will be good to see Rage together again, if only for one event. They split so long ago and a lot has happened since so it should be interesting to hear some new songs.
Haifaiv
Kind of hard to call this one, I kind of believe the 'one time' statement. On the one hand it's a perfect opportunity to properly reform Rage but on the other they're all getting on a little bit and it wouldn't be unrealistic to suggest they might just retire from mainstream music altogether. I don't mind if they don't properly reform but I'd be thrilled if they came to the UK one last time. Jimmy, I shouldn't think they'll have any new material for Coachella. Unless they said they're writing before then, I doubt they'd make any new music only for it to be played once and never released.
topdogkiller
I'm actually pretty glad. Though cornell says he'll expand his solo carrerr I'm hopping he may also coincide with his old soundgarden mates. They still are close i think. TheDude5000
Damn. I was really into their songs, this totally sucks. The thing is, they were the last band I'd suspect to break up. They really seem connected, and they constantly denied rumors of a break up. I believed them... Well, this happened 10 years ago with Soundgarden, and after that break up, he released a solo record. Sucks how things repeated themselves. Who knows if there'll be an SG re-union. They're a band that has been pretty much out of the mainstream media for a decade, I can imagine how weird it would be if all of a sudden they just got back together out of thin air. I can imagine how awesome it would be too. Off-topic: I found some cool Soundgarden posters and an autographed picture of the band too. I'm def consider buying.
