Rebel
I still play pretty much every other day. Mostly raid with the guild I'm in though, don't tend to do much else. I've got a couple of low level characters but I get them to around 50-60 and hit a brick wall with leveling. Currently 6/7 on Firelands. Â Not really loving Cata though, after having played it since release I think Blizz are making some stupid choices when it comes to raids/gear/content. I mean, it didn't take them long to nerf FL after all that waiting to have it open.

Fireman
sh*t has gotten really boring. I kinda came back for the patch (read: Transmogrofier) but it's not out yet! Now I wasted my money on a full month. Â Got a few twinks at 60 and 70 and one 85 which I do nothing with. As heroics are too easy-mode and raids require me to use vent or threatmeters. Â Add-ons are for wussies.
Rebel
Heroics are only ''easy'' when I'm with a bunch of guild mates. Honestly, every time I've been in a Zul random dungeon I've been put with a group that decides after 1 wipe or something equally stupid they will all leave. Which begs the question, why would you wait 2-20 minutes for a random if all you are going to do is f*ck off after 1 wipe? I think people expect to much these days when they go into randoms. Â As for this new patch, I don't think its coming out that soon I'm hoping within the month it will be out but I've no idea really. I'm just bouncing through FL and collecting VP for my 2 85 characters. Although my druid healer is a back up.

Jin'do the Pugbreaker is perhaps the worst of the trolls, especially since he's the last boss. It's soulcrushing to grind through ZG only to wipe several times on Jin'do and then everyone mass quits. Â It's not even a hard fight, entirely mechanics based.

Tell me about it, not so bad if everyone leaves after the first boss since DPS I usually get in after 10 minutes, but sometimes these randoms take 45 minutes with all of the sh*t you have to deal with and then for them to rage quit on the very last boss kills me. Makes me glad Blizz decided to up the VP in raids to 150 per boss.

SIKKS66
I never did go through with playing WoW again (reading my comment on the last page).  Was thinking the other day about the fun to be had in guilds. Would really love to give it another go sometime but WoW has changed so much since I was last on, seems a bit dumbed down too (just an opinion, probably far from true). But yeah, raiding and heroics were always the best with guild buddies over randoms. In my old guild it was pretty much YOUR responsibility to learn how to do bosses or you were kicked from raids. I remember I once got into an argument with a real life friend (who happened to be a senior in our guild) because I couldn't grasp the concept of what to do on a certain Black Temple boss  But yeah, if I ever went back to WoW I'd find a decent bunch of people and just play "casually". I took way to serious and probably pissed off a bunch of cool people because I became gear/progress obsessed. Left one awesome guild to join my realm's most successful guild, that was a mistake. Probably got there because (as I said) my RL pal was a senior there over merit.  I f*cking hated being a healer.  Next time I'm being a tank.  /rant
Rebel
I was casual for a long time, once I finally leveled to 80, I got to raid in a guild my old guild had to merge with after the GM left WoW. Have to say I'm grateful he did since I found an awesome bunch of people in this guild. We made our way to kill LK, we had a few guys like you where they were just gear obsessed and didn't give a sh*t about anyone else on how they got it, was nice to see them leave. Got ranked up in the guild and I'm now a happy Deputy Guild Master with 2 others who founded the guild. Â Finally got our sh*t together and are currently 6/7 in Firelands. The guild does randoms to on weekends, its a shame though I've seen it get a little quiet over the days we don't raid so its kind of hard to pull heroics together. Â I've been a DPS since I started, I don't like tanking one little bit though. Finally got my druid healer up to 85 and geared up to raid level and I've found it to be really enjoyable. With halloween being around and the fact you get the festive boss to kill its a nice way to collect rings/sh*t for my healer to with no effort. Â I think Cata has been made easy, I think that they are so ready to nerf sh*t into the ground before a lot of 'social/raiding' guilds really get a chance to get their teeth into FL and the likes. If you ever waltz back into WoW (they have those free trials now) then feel free to jump onto the EU server Wildhammer (also known as Childhammer ) and I'll gladly help you get back into the swing of things. SIKKS66
Going back would be a bad idea. I need to get my life into gear with job hunting and such, if I fall back into my WoW ways I'll end up not leaving the house for weeks/months  I wasn't always that bad. At one point there was about 7 of us in a guild and we all had a laugh over Ventrilo but as soon as we hit 70 sh*t got "serious". A bunch of them went to another server cause EU Nagrand turned super lame Oh Christ I used to be super sad, rushing home from work/college/the girlfriend to make raid times. Can't believe how lame I was.  Yeah, I'd probably go back to that.  Haha, just found an old image of said guild from back in the day. The good guild that is.  http://img239.imageshack.us/img239/8632/wo...07205643vv1.jpg  Me taking the pic, the bald Orc Shaman. Still speak to Aertek regularly, went to Sonisphere in the summer with Daglass. Zev once drove all the way from Manchester to meet my RL friend one night. That was slightly disturbing.  Good, sad times indeed .  /reminiscing
lt_yao
At least some of you get to raid, I'm in a guild where we can't even get a raid going together and I'm the freaking officer there. Â They do random dungeons only and call it a day, go off on raids with other people if they can find one. Â I'm on the other hand am left there just to pvp and gather my ruthless gear, whereas pvp is horrible at this point with Holy Paladins and Resto Shamans running unchecked. Wanna punch my screen every time I see some sh*tty Paladin come and rescue the whole BG group with 1 instant heal... Â I feel really left out in this expansion, and I'm not about to guild hop. Then again, with the way you act right now it sounds like you're the douche who leaves after 1 wipe anyway. Keeping groups together after a wipe isn't extremely difficult, if you have a good leader. If you're a tank, leading a group is so much easier than in any other role. Just show some dominance as a player and people will follow whatever you tell them to do. Â Then again, with the way you act you've probably insulted everyone for mistakes before they get a chance to redo it, so they'll leave after 1 wipe anyway. Is guess making assumptions is too easy for you?  It's standard Jin'do etiquette to ask before the fight if everyone knows what they are supposed to, but it's no use. People just say "yeah" and then proceed to get Shadows of Hakkar'd to death, or miss every beserker jump. I'm pretty patient as I was a late comer to the game so I was pretty clueless the first few times I ran it. It's more the WoW finger pointing blame game that gets me. It's always the other players who are sucking it up, not you. Duh.

You obviously have guilds/people who speak different languages since its EU but honestly I've never ran into any huge issues in Wildhammer, it has a bad rep but then I think what server doesn't? Â @Fireman - I've never come into any raid or dungeon with random players and been the one to point and blame. I don't see the point in being aggressive about it. At the end of the day people go into dungeons to learn how to progress and get to raid content. I'm always happy to tell them how to defeat a boss - hell even WoW has implemented the dungeon journal for that reason. Its a problem when you have explained, wiped 10+ times and the player who keeps messing up still sits there and says ''Yeah I know how to do it'' when they really don't. People shouldn't be ashamed if they need to be told sh*t more than once. Edited October 20, 2011 by Rebel

Rebel
Playing a panda would be awesome imo. I'm not 100% on the new talent trees though. It just seems like they've mentioned this new expansion close to Cata (then again Cata only feels like yesterday) They also have these dungeon challenges along with pet fights? Not a clue what that's going to be like but it kind of sounds like I've ''Gotta catch 'em all''  If its only going to be £20-30 for this expansion like Cata was then I'll probably end up buying it just to see what it will be like. pizza guy
Just watching Blizzcon atm, Â I'm actually looking forward to the next expansion. It's a clever idea, saying how Horde and Alliance do nothnig but fight and as a result of the fighting stumble across the island of Pandaria. Yea, since like 2004. I only started playing since last year anyways   They have to mention it during their event, thats why they do it. It won't out for at least 6 more months, or near summer time. Seeing as Deathwing fight is coming out in the next month or so, they can't do what they did with the Lich King and soak that fight for a year.
