AreXi
Put some freakin' spoilers! There are people who didn't watch the ending. Then they shouldn't be reading a LOST topic then, should they? Yeah, coz, like, they don't, like, wanna just, like, discuss the series. There's, like, noway that is possible. That goes for every topic.
Sauron
I avoided this topic like the plague until I'd seen the finale. You know, using common sense and all that.

If you aren't up to date with a show, it's YOUR concern to avoid spoilers. You can't discuss f*cking anything if you haven't even seen the latest episode. What would you hope to discuss there? Find someone else that hasn't watched it all too? Talk about Season 1? Forget it, Jack. It's purgatory.
Creed Bratton
What if someone wanted something explained from season 4 for example and he comes in here only to have the show ruined. You don't have to be such a dick all the time you know.
jelly
You know the world is upside down when I agree with WM. The topics are obviously here to discuss the most recent episodes. It's common sense.

Maybe I'll ban you if you keep up the sugar rushed 4 year old-attitude.

Andreas915
I don't give a sh*t about the spoiler tags. If you haven't seen the show get lost. I know the ending was a long time ago, but I just want to say that I think it wasn't all that bad. Actually I think it was rather good. The ending with all the characters getting together was nicely done because viewers want to see their beloved characters, well... be together. I know that all these "shippers" would have definitely whined if it had ended differently. However, I think that the introduction of "flash-sideways" was just a tiny little bit too sudden for it to be explained with only two words by Christian Shepherd. I got it and all, but it left me just a little bit hollow inside. I know there was a bomb and whatnot, but still... Now about the mysteries. I, of course, would have liked just a couple answers more. But like it was said a long time ago by the producers - everything will not be answered. And why would you like for everything to be answered. It is good if something is left up to imagination. In conclusion, I can say that it was a good ending to a great show. Now a little bit off topic. Otter, I noticed you watch Ashes To Ashes (because nobody, but a fan would refer to the show as A2A), which not a lot of people outside the UK do. I don't know how far you are with the series, I know I have finished with it. Maybe we should start a thread about that as well. I know I could talk about the 80s for ages. Oh and, kippers, are you a fan of Ashes or did you just watch it occasionally? btw pandazoot, nice Twin Peaks sig. Lynch is really the best. Oh, and how weird is it that Bowie played in Fire Walk With Me and then two of his songs are the titles of similar themed television series. Kippers
Oh and, kippers, are you a fan of Ashes or did you just watch it occasionally? I watched every episode when it aired on TV, including Life On Mars. Loved both shows. 習うより慣れろ

Pagelzilla
Man, thank goodness for Netflix. I avoided anything and everything Lost related because I was late to the game. I just wanted to say that this is far and beyond the greatest show I've ever had the priveledge of watching. The journey the writers/producers/actors took us on is second to none. Because I watched these on Netflix I was able to finish the entire series in around 6 months, sometimes watching 3 episodes in a row. I can't imagine the agony I would have been going through had I had to spend 6 years worrying about the events of that island. The series finale was, to me, perfect. Making the episode character-centric without answering the multitude of questions everyone had was exactly what they should have done. But seriously, what the hell was the island? The plane that dropped the supplies? Walt? God damn! After all, wasn't it the fate of everyone on that island that kept us coming back? But good lord, the series finale made me cry like a baby. Once I finished the show, I splurged on anything and everything LOST. Series finale immediate reactions, theories, interviews... I really wish I could have "caught up" to where everyone else was at some point during the show's existence so I could have been a part of this show's community. Ah well. Hopefully there will be another show like this someday.

I can't imagine the agony I would have been going through had I had to spend 6 years worrying about the events of that island. You missed out on one of the best things about LOST - fan theories. Every time after an episode left us wondering what the f*ck just happened, fans had a whole week to write theories about the island, the smoke monster, the polar bears, numbers, Adam and Eve etc. After each season, 6 months of theories and speculations. That was just as big part of the show as episodes themselves. Speculating what will happen in season 5 after the island disappeared and Locke died for example spawned hundreds of theories and fan-fiction. There was LOST forum and a topic where forum members typed in the numbers every 108 minutes. That was kinda cool. Also there was Dharma Initiative website with tests every week you had to pass. There was ton of stuff. Internet made LOST 10x more popular than your usual TV show. Just imagine what you'd think about the show if you watched it for 6 years and if you participated in all of that fan stuff! If you crave for another good show that will blow your mind you should watch Fringe. I don't think it's as good as LOST, but what is?
darthYENIK
Yeah, I watched the whole series last year, and there were a thousand times I wanted to run to the internet and find someone who was on the same page as me to speculate. But even if I tried that I knew that I would be bombarded by spoilers. Still enjoyed the show. And yes, Fringe is the new Lost. Not just because it's made by Bad Robot.
