Wow, ECW was one of the worst i had to live through this past week. It was horrendous.

I really hope Matt takes this title away from the fat blob, he doesn't do anything exciting. But, Delany looked to have landed so badly on his arm, usually when he gets thrown from the ring, it doesn't look that bad.

On May 28, 2001, Brian Ong died after receiving a flapjack from Singh [The Great Khali.] Ong had suffered a previous concussion during the session, but the trainers gave him a lower evaluation for not avoiding injuries and told him to continue training. In addition, it was proven that Ong did not receive any protective gear or supervision by APW staff. This second concussion ultimately proved fatal for him. As Singh inadvertently caused his death, Ong's family brought a lawsuit against All Pro Wrestling, who were found liable for recklessness after less than a day of deliberations, awarding the Ong family for damages of over $1.3 million.

 

The only match that excites me is Batista vs. Cena. I was left bitter and disappointed at the end of Royal Rumble in 2005, but I hope, this time, I will not be.

ECW sucked as I imagined it would. Hell, on one of the matches people were shouting out "boring". The Dirt Sheet was the only good thing, but even that...

I personally find RAW to be my favourite wrestling show, mainly 'cause they have John Cena, one of my favorite wrestlers. But, Smackdown! is pretty much better than ECW. It used to be good...back in the day.

When ECW had all the originals even though WWE owned it, it used to be the sh*t. But I guess they figured how soft WWE was slowly going on ECW. And eventually quit.

 

You could literally hear little kids about 8-10 screaming "Tommy"in that match he had on the latest episode of ECW.

I haven't watched ECW since that crappy "December to Dismember" PPV. Taking Sabotch/Sabu out of that match was dumb as hell. Would have been a lot more exciting than it was. Sabu rules.

 

Man, I really would love it if Cryme Tyme got the TT Belts. These guys have been there for what, 2 years? And they have NEVER had the TT Belts. But the WWE gre big enough balls to but the TT belts of FIVE, yes FIVE, male cheerleaders. What the f*ck where they thinking about back then?

I remember when ECW would only show up randomly at like 1 AM on local tv here. I'd have to stay up all night and sometimes I wouldn't even make it. It was well worth it, seeing how back then, the sh*t they did was more gruesome.

 

I was a big WCW fan back when I was a kid. Sting, The NWO, and DDP were some of my favs. Shame wrestling can't be as entertaining as it once was. I actually looked forward to Mondays just for Nitro and on Thursdays, Thunder.

Smackdown! wasn't bad at all. I'm liking this new meaner Edge. I certainly can't wait for HIAC. It's been a long time.

- Moore gets pinned after a double DDT at 4:19.

 

* Jeff Hardy vs. MVP is announced for SummerSlam.

 

* Lena Yada interviews MVP backstage about Jeff Hardy.

 

* Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin

- The crowd is really into this match. Shelton works hard on Jeff's left knee dominating most of the match. Jeff turns things around. He continues to work Shelton over and hits Twist of Fate followed by a Swanton Bomb. Jeff goes for the pin and MVP comes running in and lays him out with a boot forcing the match to end in DQ at 15:49.

 

* Indian Broken Glass Arm-Wrestling Contest:

Khali w/Ranjin Singh b. Triple H

Singh translates for Khali. Hunter makes fun of him and then says he'll break Khali's legs at SummerSlam. They start the contest... Khali gets the early advantage. Triple H comes back. Khali then headbutts Triple H and goes for the two hand chokeslam. Triple H reverses and goes for the pedigree. Khali locks on the Vice Grip. Triple H tries to fight but goes down. Khali stands tall. Two refs come out and help Hunter to the back.

 

* Backstage, Curt Hawkins is shown laid out in the locker room with a black rose on him.

 

* A Ron Killings vignette is shown.

 

* Chavo Guerrero and Vickie think that Edge may be responsible for laying people out tonight backstage. At some point Zack Ryder was also knocked out.

 

* Vladimir Kozlov b. Jesse w/Festus

- After a short promo in Russian, Kozlov pins Jessee in about a minute after blocking his crossbody.

 

* The Guerreros do more talking in the office. Vickie crushes a black rose in her hand.

 

* Brian Kendrick w/Ezekiel b. Super Crazy

- Kendrick pins Super Crazy after hitting The Kendrick at 4:32. Ezekiel put Super Crazy in a torture rack after the match.

 

* Edge joins the Guerreros in the office. Vickie is pissed. Edge sucks up to her and calls for unity.

 

* Edge, Chavo, and Vickie all come out to the ring to call out The Undertaker. Both Edge and Chavo have chairs. Edge turns on Chavo and gives him a one man con–chair–to as Vickie watches from her wheelchair. Edge then shoves Vickie out of her chair. As she screams he cries out that he will take Undertaker and La Familia to hell with him. SmackDown goes off the air.

 

Dark Main Event:

* Edge (in street clothes) vs. Triple H for the WWE Championship.

- Edge substitutes himself for Vladimir Kozlov. Triple H destroys him with a pedigree after a couple of minutes.

 

Edge, now shirtless, attacks Hunter as soon as he gets the pin and the title match starts.

 

* Triple H b. Edge

- Edge dominates early on. Triple H comes back as Kozlov is still in the ring lifeless. Edge connects with Triple H once again. Hunter reverses the rear into a spinebuster. Edge runs away and is counted out. Kozlov is pedigreed a second time.

I think you'd be better off watching Raw on Monday and deciding from there. Pretty much everyone here (myself included) will just express the utter disappointment it's been.

 

I'm currently reading "Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling". It's a thick book and a long read, but so far I've enjoyed it. It has some interesting bits about the WWF on its way to power, absorbing all the territories' area and talent (at least, I'm that far in the book).

Bought it awhile ago, anyone got the Bret Hart DVD 3 disc collectors edition that came out in 2007? Its got all his best matches on it, including the Stone Cold Submission match. My favourite Wrestlemania match. Unfortunatley they couldnt fit on the famous 60 min Iron Man match.

Mick Foley's had his fair share of critics since he started this ring announcer lark. I kind of like the guy though. He tries to make wrestling sound more real, if you get what I mean? JR tends to shout like a maniac, Mick tends to act like your usual sports announcer.

 

Can't beat Joey Styles though!
