Holy sh*t, are you serious?! Too bad I can't buy WM like I did last year. IMO the only matched I like was HBK vs.VKM, and of course MITB. I hope Undertaker wins and goes 15-0. We all know Cena is going to win just because of the stupid crowd. But did you guys hear the crowd booing him after Taker left Batista on his own in RAW? I hope Orton wins, he deserves it. And BOTB is getting too much hype in my opinion. The only reason it's going to be good is because of Stone Cold, and I know someones getting their head shaved bald!! Woot

Damn, it's already less than an hour away. All I can say is that Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker better win tonight. I'll be watching with anticipation just like the rest of you. And I'm currently listening to "Ladies and Gentlemen" by Saliva to get into my WrestleMania mood.

EDIT: I feel WWE disrespected the WHC match, they put that match before the ECW and Womens match, a match of that calibur deserves main event !!

I just saw on wwe.com that Khali won his match against Kane, and Mr. kennedy won MITB. I guess the rumour was true. Undertaker is going to win the WHC and kennedy's going to cash it in and feud with Taker over it.

Not bad at all. The only match that really stunk was the women's title, everything else may not have been outstanding but was still good fun. Cena/HBK was actually...*gulp*...good.

Worst WrestleMania ever.

 

The Opening to WrestleMania had that " Big Event Feel " but the Wrestling didn't deliver, had HIGH hopes for Money in the Bank and all it gives me in return is repeated move sets and a Leg Drop from Jeff Hardy ( Which was pretty cool ).

 

Khali vs Kane was stupid, it was hard for Kane to work with Khali because he's so damn immobile in the Ring.

 

Chris Benoit vs MVP could have been a good match, with the veteran Benoit's in-ring skill it could have turned out pretty good, but MVP wrecked the match completely, MVP should be taken off and should develop more skills because that match was so unplanned.

 

The World Heavyweight Title match was awesome though, the match of the Night in my opinion, it had the " Big Match Feel ", and Undertakers entrance gave you goosebumps, back and forth exchanges to each other, Batista not the Crowd favorite in the match made it clear that Undertaker would win it, close Falls and Finisher to Finisher was awesome, great to see Taker as World Champion again.

 

8 Man Tag was so-so, the ECW Originals had it won as soon as they entered the ring, the " New Breed " is a stupid idea done by the Creative team, and WWE should really just let ECW Die, because what WWE is doing to it right now is ruining the ECW name.

 

Battle of the Billionaires match as also So-So, the match was enjoyable and Stone Cold as referee made the match Interesting, Lashley and Umaga getting thrown out the ring made me say " Ouch " a couple of times, the Ending was obvious though, you knew McMahon was getting shaved by the time the match was announced.

 

Women's Championship, skip that, Diva's are only there to shake their ass infront of the Guys, and to make Girls think that Wrestling is not Sexist, although Melina is a good champ.

 

WWE Championship, the Match was So-So, Close falls and Finisher to Finishers just like the Taker vs Batista match, but the Ending made me and the other guys leave the room, Cena retaining AGAIN, and making HBK tap-out like he did to Triple H at WrestleMania 22.

 

As said above, this was the worst WrestleMania ever, and WWE could have put better talent on the card, make people leave with a good impression because if i went to see WrestleMania 23 Live, I would want a Refund.

I pretty mych agreed with everything you said.

They should have had more talent in there, the should have mixed up some matches like except of getting some Matt Hardy fans hopes up by wasting his time in the MITB, they could have put him in the US title match, you know stuff like that.

Hey, I liked WM9. I loved the outdoor arena, Roman theme, and even Hogan winning the title in the end. You want a bad one, try WM 11. Bland city, bland arena (Hartford Civic Center), too much emphasis on a celebrity match (LT vs. Bam Bam Bigelow), everything else was just blah on a depleted roster. Also, WM 13 was almost as bad, but at least that one had Bret vs. Austin.

NTL f*cked everything up last night and I had to wait till 6pm today to watch WM which really pissed me off. I was looking foward to watching it live last night!

 

My mood quickly changed as MITB delivered one hell of a showcase! The broken ladder bit was intense, and definatly made me go

 

PPV got good again at the Taker vs. Batista match. I thought when it started that it was way too early so something bad will happen, like Batista winning. But thank god Taker is getting another run with the belt to put Kennedy over like the master that he is.

 

Vince getting his head shaved was great. Proper good laugh watching that

 

HBK vs. Cena was of course the best match of the night next to MITB. If Shawn had won, it would of been much better . That Superkick Shawn delivered to Cena was disturbingly awesome. Thought it was over there and then

The Cena/Michaels match was great. The near finishers and piledriver on the steps was great. The moonsault was awesome too. I seriously hope Cena loses soon. Another year of the same sh*t may put me over the deep end.

That was when Wrestling hadn't evolved yet, and you had Bodybuilders who could cut good promo's as Champions, ECW were the first to evolve out of the Old-Style wrestling into a New Style, Hardcore wrestling with Athletic Wrestling aswell made the other companies look down their shoulders, and WCW Took some of their good talent but they provided good matches with the talent they took ( Rey vs Eddie at Halloween Havoc for Example ), WWF started to evolve with the " Attitude Era ", and we Saw Guy's getting thrown off the Hell in a Cell, Huge Bumps, High Flying moves and some great wrestling.

 

You can't really compare Old-Style wrestling to New Style wrestling and say its better, Wrestling was slowly evolving back then.

I thought Mania was okay. It was worth 50 bucks in my opinion. I didn't like how everyone did there move 7 times in a row in the MITB match. I didn't like how Undertaker was punching at the air after like 3 punches by Batista. I loved the Battle of the Billionaires. Austin was great, and I laughed my ass off when Trump tackled Vince. I loved seeing Trump get stunned too. It was a little screwed up, but I ignored that fact as Trump doesn't know what the hell he is doing.

 

Personally, I thought that Cena vs Michaels was a 4 star match at least. Anyone who can say that the Taker Batista match was better must be blind. I was rooting for Shawn, but I am over the fact that he lost. I would like to see a rematch sometime in the future.
