The briefcase being applicable for even the US and IC titles makes it more interesting to see who the holder will cash in on now. I was against cashing in on the non world titles at first, but now I warmed up to it.

I wish Finn won, it would have been interesting to see the intrigue in Judgment Day with champ Finn and briefcase holder Priest right beside him

I can’t remember the last time I ever posted in this thread, but I just learned that both Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk have passed away within a day of eachother.😢😢😢😢

Normally wrestler deaths don’t phase me that much, but that’s rough man.

Bray was only 36 and while Terry lived to 79 I’ll never forget what gave to the industry for a good 60 odd years or so.

R.I.P fellas. You’ll both be sorely missed.

Yeah, SmackDown's gonna be sad as hell tonight.

It's f*cking crazy.

All respect to The Funkstar, he was in bad shape for a while and lived a hard life that, though no less sad of course, it's understandable the chap passed at the age he has. RIP indeed!

But Bray? Wow! 36 is no age and it's such a shame that 2 members of the Wyatt family are now gone. Shocking news!

WWE's booking of Bray/The Fiend were questionable at times, but the man just stood out with some of that natural charisma you really need to succeed in this business. Some misses in there, but overall, a very creative man. And you can see by the responses to a passing like Bray's, and Luke Harper before, these are guys that were well loved and not just by their families bit through the industry they just come across as good dudes and it only adds to this tragic time.

RIP, Bray and Terry!

I think this was the first time in about 15 years or so I watched a WWE show live.

Touching tributes to both guys. Reminded me of the tribute shows for Owen Hart and Eddie Guerrero.

I have to admit whilst I don’t watch wrestling on a weekly basis like I used to The Fiend was one my favourite personas in the modern era. Right up there with personas like The Undertaker, Kane and Mankind IMO.

The Firefly Funhouse match with John Cena at WM 36 was so much fun I might just watch it again.👍

The Fiend was my favorite version of Wyatt. The cult leader and Firefly Funhouse versions were unique but even though the Fiend looked like a hilarious Halloween costume, I just liked what a force of nature Bray was with that gimmick.

Bray was the last universal champ before Roman and it's a shame we won't get to see him try to regain that again. It's a bit unbelievable he was just 36, he left a good legacy in pro wrestling. One of the characters that you won't forget

I never saw a Terry Funk match but I read about him still wrestling past his 60s and being that evergreen wrestler who would always fight. Cody Rhodes' promo about Funk the cowboy was nice. Terry also has left a rich legacy behind.

LA Knight getting a win over Balor is huge. I suspect a world title program coming his way soon. Paul Heyman already planted the seeds for a Reigns feud...

I wish I could watch All In. Ah man, feels like it is going to be a pivotal part of pro wrestling history.

I’m pretty sure if you type in Terry Funk matches on YouTube it shouldn’t be too hard to find them.😉

Weirdly enough I was thinking about him the other day when I was watching some videos when he was in the WWF in 1998 as Chainsaw Charlie.

I think his best work was more known in the territories back in the day or overseas in Japan. He had some brief stints with the WWF, WCW and ECW, but yeah. As I said I think he was more remembered for his work abroad.

It’s crazy to think he wrestled up until 2017 well into his 70s. Middle aged and crazy alright lol and beyond that. Absolute legend.

I feel he will end his career in WWE and get in the HOF too. Whether he ends his career there in fame or shame though...

I like that Punk is back but this also means guys like Drew and Zayn go back in the line, aww

I don't know. Seemed like they were setting something up between Seth and Drew on Raw. Punk and Rollins won't happen until at least Royal Rumble which is still 2 months away. I imagine Drew will get a shot on Raw before then

Maybe Drew won't go back of the line just yet but that's the thing, I would have had Drew as the likely candidate to dethrone Seth before Punk. Now with Punk-Rollins being a money feud, Drew will mostly just be  a stop gap to Punk lol.

Still I hope Punk kills it. A lot are saying that Punks return promo was underwhelming but the fact is people hang on to every word Punk says, he gets the attention, he gets the headlines. It will be nice to see him in the world title scene. And damn, a Roman vs Punk feud is so tantalising even if they are obviously going to go Roman vs Cody.

Drew as a filler feud feels about right to me. I've never really seen him as a proper "top guy", honestly. Even if I did, I think him fighting Jey and finally ending that story at Rumble is way bigger than a title match. It's bigger than even a title win would be.

Punk vs Rollins is straight money, that sh*t is happening at Mania, but I can't see Punk winning though

I think Punk/Rollins will happen at Rumble first. Mania's way too far away. I could see them maybe even doing another match at Elimination Chamber before closing out the trilogy at WrestleMania. I think Punk gets the belt somewhere in there at least for awhile but it really depends on how things shake out. As much buzz as there is about Punk right now I kind of think that most of that's gonna be gone by Rumble in two months.

For me Drew is a beast who belongs at the top but different strokes and all. I do see another Drew-Jey clash happening but he already beat Jey a couple of weeks ago without even needing his finisher so I'd rather he moves on and goes after/wins a world title.

I feel Punk will be in the rumble match for sure. I would be surprised if Punk-Rollins happens at the Rumble even if there's the feeling to strike when it's hot right now

Yeah, I just can't see myself staying interested if they try and stretch the story for five months until WrestleMania. Just waiting two months until Rumble already requires a lot of filler.

Well, Seth Rollins injured on RAW during main event against Jinder Mahal, might send WM 40 main event against CM Punk in doubt. Meanwhile in NXT, Cora Jade injured during NXT house show after she returned last month and she will be out of action for a year... 🙁

Dwayne and Roman at Elimination Chamber, you heard it here first

Sounds like Roman's not going to be there at all. My guess is it'll happen at the next Saudi show at the earliest.

Yeah, it would suck if we don't get the Punk/Rollins match but I think there's still some interesting stuff they could do with Punk. Using the Elmination Chamber to crown a new champ could be cool, too.

Lonely-Martin

Yeah, the sh*t really hit the fan there. We knew there was plenty on the man, and there's been stories for decades.

Question now is if this gets squashed or if ge takes God knows who with him.

Crazy times indeed!

Oh dear... The Rock took Cody's Rumble spot against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania XL and the WWE rosters & it's fans were outraged that Cody didn't finish his story at WM XL. Maybe WWE will soon change their minds after a backlash & make a triple-threat match instead.

^ that part where Punk talks to Rhodes till 0:47 ish turned straight up prophetic

So what now for the WHC? Assuming they don't pivot away from Rock v Roman...will it be Cody v Seth even after Cody said he wants Roman's title (just not at Mania)? I'd rather it be Seth v Drew v Sami, but Rhodes won the rumble surely he's gotta face one of the champs? Just that Cody v Seth feels like an anticlimax after Romans put down of Seth and even Cody acknowledging it's Reigns' title he wants.

Ngl, part of me enjoys how chaotic this road to WM has become. It looked like a stellar if predictable Rhodes v Reigns and Rollins v Punk but now the script has been torn up and Rocky Johnson is public enemy number one, ooh boy I smell what's cooking
