Pleasantly surprised Charlotte won, but otherwise too predictable an event. Some decent matches considering the obvious obviousness it seems (only read recaps mind you, haven't paid for a PPV for a couple years now such is how poor WWE has become. But that's another discussion, lol).

So glad for Undertaker though. That 'you deserve it' chant has become so overused, but that's one time it really is warranted. Watched the whole character's career and there'll never be anyone better for me. Irreplaceable.

What are the rules here for spoilers this soon after a show? Is it okay to talk about anything on the show after it's over or wait a day or so? Anyway I'll talk about spoilery stuff here else I'll have to use spoiler tags for almost my whole post

I didn't expect KO and Austin to have a full match, in hindsight it's so obvious that they wouldn't have a talk segment main event Mania but i thought it's because it's Austin and they'd close the segment with an extended brawl but not a match for some reason lol.

Match was sluggish but that was to be expected, it did it's part in sending the home crowd and fans all over happy and will have it's legacy cemented as Austin's last match and a feel good one. Poor Saxton lmao dude's such a geek i like him for it.

Match of the Night was Rollins vs Rhodes. Cody got his full AEW presentation, calling it now Cody will be the next champion of Raw after Brock loses the title to Roman

... Speaking of which I really hope Brock doesn't lose lol, I just don't see the greatness of the great Tribal Chief though maybe the whole point is not to like the villain, idk. Still, go Brock! I still think McIntyre will best Roman for the universal and perhaps this unified universal title but would be funny to see Reigns lose to Lesnar at Mania once again

Match of the night for me was Bianca vs Becky. Austin vs Owens was so much better than I would ever have guessed it could be. I'm not sure if it was actually good or my expectations were just so low but it was fun, at least.

Logan Paul was much better than I'd expected, too. Stephen Amell kind of raised the bar for celebrities in WrestleMania matches and they've been doing a good job of at least matching that since. Still, I hope Miz turning on him wasn't an attempt to turn Paul face and keep the storyline going.

I've officially decided I'm never going to like Ronda Rousey. She's just not good and I don't see any signs that she will be any time soon. I kind of have a feeling they're going to drag this feud out at least a little further, too. It's a shame because Asuka, Bayley, and Alexa are just kind of sitting around waiting for something to do now.

I'm sort of less excited for tonight. Edge vs AJ Styles is exciting and, for some reason, I'm really looking forward to the women's tag match, but that's about it. I couldn't care less about Roman and Brock just because I'm not really interested in either of them being the champion. Also, I hate the idea of only having one champion no matter who it is.

There were way too many promotional videos on night one, hopefully they cut down on it for night two. Just read on cageside seats that my man Drew McIntyre had a special entrance cut for lack of time but there was so much time allotted for the various promos

Yeah, that's because it's on Peacock in America and we get commercial breaks after every match. Consider yourself lucky. When you see those promos some of us are seeing ads for the world's worst streaming service.

What's worse is that they only have, like, five commercials which means we saw those same five commercials at least fifteen times each over the course of NXT and WrestleMania.

Sami Zayn has had singles matches with Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens at Mania but imo this was comfortably his best Mania match. Was fun, props to him and Knoxville

Yep, it was incredibly stupid but a ton of fun.

Crowd was hot for the whole Theory-McAfee shebang. Dragged a bit too long maybe but can't say it wasn't fun

No matter who wins between Reigns and Lesnar I just want a clean finish to this much hyped contest no Usos interference hopefully

Stephanie McMahon is now WWE Chairman

AEWxNJPW show in a week. Hope Tanahashi wins the interim title even if he will still lose to Punk. It's a shame the heavyweights like Okada, Naito, Omega, Punk are missing but should still be a success.

The Okada-Omega trilogy was over five years ago now, damn, time flies

I wanted Tanahashi to win, damn shame. Its a shame Ishii got injured though he probably wouldnt have won too.

PAC is finally a champion in AEW, long overdue.

Mox is the final boss of AEW it feels like. Curious to see who wins between him and Punk when he returns. You would think Mox is keeping the title warm till Punk restarts his reign but Moxley is in his prime I can't see Punk beating him lol.

NJPW having a four block G1 climax this year, woah

Money in the Bank coming up soon. I hope Sami Zayn wins the briefcase.

How does everyone feel about John Cena, many moons ago alot of people would shame you for liking him and I always felt it was unwarranted, while I'm not a fan, his acting career is awesome with Peacemaker and what not

I thought Cena, in WWE got extremely stale extremely quick. He was booked pretty terribly as well. Because he was basically a superhero for the kids for a lot of his career he was never really in any peril. I never got the hint he was going to lose or that he was even struggling all that much throughout a lot of his feuds. What's worse is that he ruined a lot of guys who could have gone on to become some pretty good heels.

WWE were so desperate to keep him a babyface that as soon as any bad guy got even a little bit of heat on them they got fed to Cena. It didn't matter how hated that person was, half the crowd was going to cheer for them against Cena.

Outside of the ring, I like him. Peacemaker's his only real standout role to me but beyond his career he just seems like a truly good dude. The amount make-a-wish foundation stuff he's done is insane ad I wouldn't at all be surprised if the charity work we know about is just the tip of the iceberg.

I was traveling down memory lane & ruminating about old times & I thought about this site. Gee, I sure haven't logged onto here in forever!

BruceBlitz is a name that really takes me back, as a Cena & PG hating teenager he certainly had an appeal but in retrospect he really was a man-child considering he was nearly 40 years of age screaming & getting red in the face about professional wrestling & scripted outcomes to worked matches.

This little topic doesn't seem to be as active as it once was, but I hope everyone that posts here & used to frequent this spot is happy & doing well for themselves!

Anyway, how you doing Shen, do you still watch Wrestling, WWE is on the up with Vince gone and HHH in charge but I'm still not resubbing to the Network until I see several things happen and AEW is all the rage now, CM Punk, Danielson, Omega, MJF, Hangman, Young Bucks, thats what I watch now

That CM Punk press conference is bonkers (time stamped at 12:14)

“I haven’t had anything to do with Scott Colton for almost a decade. Probably wanted nothing to do with him even longer than that. It’s f*cking unfortunate that I have to come up here and speak on this when I’m on my time and this is a f*cking business. Why I’m a grown ass adult man and I decide not to be friends with somebody is nobody else’s f*cking business. But my friends, if I fall backwards, will catch me. Scott Colton, I felt, never would have.

“My problem was I wanted to bring a guy with me to the top that did not want to see me at the top, okay? You can call it jealousy, you can call it envy, whatever the f*ck it is. My relationship with Scott Colton ended long before I paid all of his bills. I have every receipt. I have every invoice. I have every email. I have email where he says ‘I agree to go our separate ways, I will get my own lawyer and you do not have to pay anymore.’ That’s an email that I have and the only reason the public did not see is because when I finally had to countersue him, through discovery we discovered he shared a bank account with his mother. That’s a fact. As soon as we discovered that fact and we subpoenaed old Marsha, he sent the email ‘oh, can we please drop all this?’

“Now, it’s 2022. I haven’t been friends with this guy since at least 2014, late-2013. The fact that I have to sit up here because we have irresponsible people who call themselves EVPs and couldn’t f*cking manage a Target and they spread lies and bullsh*t and put into the media that I got somebody fired when I have f*ck all to do with him, want nothing to do with him, do not care where he works, where he doesn’t work, where he eats, where he sleeps… the fact that I have to get up here and do this in 2022 is f*cking embarrassing. And if y’all are at fault f*ck you. If you’re not, I apologize.

“What did I ever do in this world to deserve an empty headed f*cking dumb f*ck like Hangman Adam Page to go out on national television and f*cking go into business for himself? For what? ... What did I ever do? Didn’t do a goddamn thing.

“It’s not (Tony Khan’s) position to make it very f*cking clear. There’s people who call themselves EVPs that should have f*cking known better. This sh*t was none of their business. I understand sticking up for your f*cking friends, I f*cking get it, I stuck up for that guy more than anybody. Okay? I paid his bills until I didn’t and it was my decision not to.

“I’m trying to run a f*cking business. And when somebody who hasn’t done a damn thing in this business jeopardizes the first million dollar house that this company has ever drawn off of my back and goes on national television and does that, it’s a disgrace to this industry, it’s a disgrace to this company. We’re far beyond apologies. I gave him a f*cking chance, it did not get handled, and you saw what I had to do, which is very regrettable, lowering myself to his f*cking level. But that’s where we’re at right now. And I will still walk up and down this hallway and say ‘if you have a f*cking problem with me, take it up with me. Let’s f*cking go.’”

😂😂

Calling it, Drew will walk out of CATC as champion

f*ck this sh*t, he should have won

Man's going off while TK is sitting there looking like he wants a hole in the ground to appear 😂

I like this sort of thing, makes the show feel more spicy and interesting to follow, and weirdly enough it gives more of a sport fight feel than feeling too much of a curated product.

Gotta say though, Cody's move to jump to WWE is looking smarter by the day. Avoids the drama and heat the other AEW EVPs are getting and is now the most likely contender to dethrone Roman when he likely wouldn't have been world champ in AEW thanks to being EVP.

I've been keeping up a bit more this past year with all the insanity going on in regards to Vince's departure & the AEW/Punk drama that's been brewing the past month or so, that really hit a boiling point this past week. It feels like starting with Cody Rhodes' AEW departure it's just been non-stop insane stories of heat between guys & personal tension, as well as releases & firings ever since. It's a wild time to start checking in on things once again.
