Of course Cody had to beat Black lol. And he didn't even turn heel, he just beat him clean. The fans hated it too obviously.

So apparently Becky and Charlotte had a heated argument backstage? The segment did seem pretty weird, and the rumor is that Charlotte isn't exactly well liked backstage.

I think to save some excitement for the Raw draft night, they are saving the midcard champs to be drafted then, world champs drafted on night one and tag and midcard champs on night two. Just trying to play devils advocate. Though I am not the biggest fan of this draft system either.

Mr NXT! I miss NXT 2013-2015

reminds me of the Rock skit in this lol

Another big round of cuts from WWE tonight.

Keith Lee, Nia Jax, Karrion Kross, Gran Metalik, Lince Dorado, Eva Marie, “B-Fab” Briana Brandy, Harry Smith, Scarlett Boudreaux, Oney Lorcan, Franky Monet, Ember Moon, Trey Baxter, Jessi Kamea, Jeet Rama, Zayda Ramier and Katrina Cortez.

It's a real mixed bag. Some of them are a surprise, some of them are not, some of them I didn't realize were still with the company, and some of them I've never heard of.

Keith Lee and Karrion Kross are two guys that WWE clearly had no idea how to use on the main roster and I think Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado have been asking for releases for awhile now.

Nia Jax is probably the biggest surprise to me. I thought with her connections to The Rock she was a lifer. The second biggest surprise is that Dana Brooke is still around.

Lol people are really going crazy on social media about THESE releases?
Most of these people I never heard of and of the ones I did hear of I’m not really surprised.

If anything the only ones that did surprise me were Eva Marie and Nia Jax.  Eva Marie simply because they just hired her back and Nia Jax because she dodged so many bullets it looked like they were never going to part ways with her.

As far as Keith Lee goes I’m just surprised they didn’t axe him earlier this year with the other rounds of releases.

Lonely-Martin

I'm reading reports that some of these recent releases were in part due to not getting vaccinated too.

Nia Jax seems to be taking the biggest headlines on this aspect.

Quite surprised by some of these as they just recently featured some with character changes like Kieth Lee.

I do understand WWE had a spell of hogging talent and many were just doing little/nothing but some of the names dropped are surprising still.

Build up to Survivor Series has been abysmal this time around especially the 'brand warfare' portion, the teams were simply announced on Twitter this time around

Raw Men’s Team
Seth Rollins
Finn Bálor
Kevin Owens
Rey Mysterio
Dominik Mysterio

SmackDown Men’s Team

Drew McIntyre
Jeff Hardy
King Woods
Sami Zayn
Happy Corbin (with Madcap Moss)

Raw Women’s Team
Bianca Belair
Rhea Ripley
Liv Morgan
Carmella
Queen Zelina

SmackDown Women’s Team
Sasha Banks
Shayna Baszler
Shotzi
Natalya
Aliyah

Like what you see and who are you backing?

I kind of miss the times when there were Survivor Series teams based on wrestlers feuding with each other and multiple feuds that would interplay in that match and maybe even new feuds would arise.

The brand warfare concept is also fun but think it's run it's course.

Is this The Guy?

^^^ then I’m definitely not a real wrestling fan.

This got me lol

I don't know why I keep doing this to myself but I'm actually kind of excited for Royal Rumble. I haven't watched anything since the last "Premium Live Event" so I don't really know what's going on but the Royal Rumble is always fun. I'm hoping they dial back the commercial breaks a bit but I have a feeling that's only going to get worse as time goes on.

I still can't believe they're rebranding "Pay-Per-Views" as "Premium Live Events". Live Events are what they call non-televised house shows. So translated into more traditional prowrestling language, Premium Live Event just means Glorified House Show. Which is already how they tend to feel a lot of the times.

The Rumble winners didn't make any sense. Both of them were the type that were going to get a title shot at 'Mania either way. I feel like Alexa Bliss should have returned and won the Rumble to go on and feud with Charlotte. The men's Rumble felt like they weren't even trying. They didn't even ad any dumb but fun entrants while the Women's was at least 50% nostalgia.

Still can't get into AEW, though. It feels to me like they're trying way too hard to be like WCW was at its peak, which, to me, always just felt like it was trying way too hard to be WWE. That, and the commentary is just awful. It almost never sounds like anybody calling the matches really cares about the matches apart from Excalibur. It's especially bad on the Dark youtube shows. Wrestling is often something I have on in the background while I'm doing other things and it feels like AEW's commentary teams do the same thing.

I liked the ppv premium live event, until I checked the reactions online I didn't know most people hated the show. My only issue is I wanted McIntyre to win and seeing him be the last man out was like a gut punch but that's the way it goes sometimes right.

Reigns/Lesnar is the modern day Rock/Austin. I don't think Lesnar is the endgame for Reigns' rein and think just like his illustrious cousin did in his WM trilogy Reigns finally beats Lesnar at Mania in their third match (I know he's beaten Lesnar before but not at WM).

About AEW, I want to see them have their own unique event like WWE having the Rumble, NJPW having the G1 Climax. AEW also doesn't have a Wrestlemania equivalent show like Wrestle Kingdom, Slammiversary. It's still early days for them relatively and they may get these in due course, having a main attraction show where the storylines culminate will only make the show more appealing.

Also be fun if Rampage and Dynamite have seperate rosters eventually imo

Watching RAW with minimal fast forwarding for the first time. Has it been this broken for awhile and I just haven't noticed because I skip past most of it? There were at least three times where they just sort of forced segments into the middle of other segments and just totally destroyed any sort of pacing or momentum they'd built up.

First was Kevin Owens came out to open the show and said some stuff before introducing Seth Rollins. For some reason, the people running RAW thought Seth Rollins' entrance was a good time to spend two minutes letting us know what matches are coming up later. Why couldn't they have opened with that? Or done it after the first match?

Next, they have a six-woman tag match and the bad guys come out first and they cut to commercial break. When they come back, instead of sending out the other team they cut to the backstage and the other team is just casually chatting about what strategy they're going to employ in the match they should be fighting right now. It was just weird.

Then, before the US Title match they did Finn Balor's Entrance then half of Damien (the champion) Priest's entrance before cutting to commercial. They then come back and then, instead of starting the match, they decide we need to see a montage of the Top Ten WWE Instagram posts. Then they show us a scene of Vince McMahon and Austin Theory talking about an upcoming podcast appearance before the announcers plug said podcast. Finally, they cut back to the ring and the two have maybe a ten minute match, with a commercial in the middle.

Maybe it's always been this bad or maybe I'm just being overly critical because I'm a little annoyed with the 2K22 roster reveal today. Either way, I'm probably going to go back to just watching the "premium live events" from now on.

Yeah, just caught up with the latest, but had known about the weekend's troubles.

That ladder match with Shawn was so fresh, his storyline with the 1 2 3 Kid was just great fun and so memorable, and of course, The Outsiders was the start of one of the best storylines wrestling came up with.

My mum fancied Razor Ramon when I was a kid watching Superstars too, lol. Hey Yo! RIP, Bad Guy. Cheers for the memories.

Best intro music of any kind

Late 90s/early 00s was the peak of wrestling IMO; probably because I was growing up at that time and was watching wrestling (But haven't watched any kind of wrestling in YEARS.). Went to WCW Monday Nitro I think in 1999 when I was 10, Scott Hall and the like was there, my favorite was probably Goldberg.

RIP SCOTT HALL

I'm not a big fan of the two night Wrestlemania. One night can drag on but I preferred that one night spectacle over it being divided into two.

This year's WM is being carried by the Reigns-Lesnar match imo, and with how predictable that outcome seemingly is I don't feel much hype for the show. Maybe it's a good thing, if the show doesn't have that much expectations there's more chances of being pleasantly surprised.

Hope Drew McIntyre-Corbin have a good match.

If it's "Universal Wrestling" than.. i can share you a "Traditional/Historical Kırkpınar Oily Wrestling" a.k.a "Tarihi Kırkpınar Yağlı Güreşleri" video 🇹🇷

It's a final competition between two wrestlers Ali Gürbüz and Ismail Koc 😎

Wrestlemania looks so bloody awful this year.

An obvious Roman win is obvious. Crazy how many main events this clown gets after proving time and time again he just can't draw like someone in his position should.

Then again, ain't like Vince has built up any other stars to really capture the imagination. But he's too busy giving Roman the reach around to care.

Bel Air win is obvious too, and Ronda Rousey obviously is gonna win too. Zzzzz. So that's the main title matches wasted on predictable pap.

That leaves the likes of Drew vs Corbin or the Mysterio's vs Miz and some YouTube twat to carry the show. Yeah.... No!

Maybe AJ/Edge will be a good match, and a moment of Stone Cold nostalgia to be tucked in there too. But if that's all a 2 night wrestlemania can offer, that's not just bad, it's actually pretty shocking.

It's a far cry from what WWF/WWE once was.

AEW really needs to step up it's game because there really is an opportunity there.

The rumored Seth Rollins vs

Spoiler

Cody Rhodes

match should also be interesting. I'm calling it now the winner of this match will likely go on to be Raw's next champion after Brock finally gets bested by Roman at Mania

I am not a fan of Roman's Tribal Chief reign myself but a lot of people seem to consider it an all time reign and at the very least he's brought some prestige to the Universal title to where beating him for it is a very big deal and could 'make' the wrestler that beats him for it.

That being said I would rather that time comes sooner than later I will cry if Roman holds the title all the way to next Mania to face the Rock.

AEWs rise has been rapid af, debuted in 2019(?) and even by a year ago they were already the bonafide number two promotion and went from competing with NXT to competing with Raw for the whole ratings thing. TNA being the (distant) number two show doesn't feel so long ago man... you had NJPW capture the imagination during the whole Okada-Omega-Naito main event scene too but havent kept up with them or heard about them since the pandemic thinking about it

Because the above tweet took a while to load i got a shock reading  'the game is over' , I assumed something else...bruh

A legendary career and perhaps my favourite entrance theme in pro wrestling

What was Triple H's last match, the WM with Batista? If so that was a swansong match for both

So, in a youtube video Vince McMahon told Seth Rollins that he's officially got a WrestleMania match. Vince is going to handpick the opponent and Seth won't know who he's fighting until his opponent makes their way to the ring.

Part of me kind of wants it to not be Cody Rhodes, just to see the reaction.
