John Cena desperately needs to return. His mic work is golden if WWE lets him.

I've been thinking he'll be back in the Rumble. When they announced Lesnar will be the first entrant, a light bulb just switched on. If you've watched enough WWE, you know the history with Cena & Lesnar. Cena avenging his losses to Brock and having his last big World Title run before he retires just seems perfect.

I can't think of a better way to bring him back.

I'd prefer Cena v Brock, plus I want Cena (and Orton ideally) to both tie Flair's record as there's a good meaningful match there in the making and while Cena's still got enough in the tank.

Hogan is very keen and going all out to get one more WWE match to end it all too, which I've mixed feeling on. (Not in Hogan being at mania, just how physical he gets given his injuries and age).

I can see Hogan and Cena do something together as it'd be a home PPV for both, plus Cena is super-safe and after that Taker/Golberg match nearly killed them, if Hogan does, he'll need safe workers for sure, lol.

I can see them in a tag match too though as the entertainment match.

Can't see nothing more than a Roman rumble win to go on and take over from Bray, but that was always gonna happen, IMHO.

Cena v Brock would be great like I said. The history they have there is perfect for a WrestleMania match, plus they've both always had decent chemistry. Brock doesn't work well with many big guys, but Cena is one of the few he seemed to have a connection with. They synergize well.

I don't have too much interest in seeing Hogan wrestle at his age, but I suppose a small match wouldn't do too much harm to the overall card. No way he's going to be putting on any sort of proper match at his age. I honestly think it should be a Tag match with someone if anything. Let Hogan get the hot tag, deliver his classic moves and win the match and then he can go out. Doesn't have to be in the match for long and someone younger can carry it.

Hogan and Cena tagging together would be pretty huge, much like Rock and Cena was. Think I'd rather Cena have a big singles match however, as he can definitely still go and probably still has it in him to put on some genuinely good matches.

I'm okay with Roman vs The Fiend as a match but it sucks we have to go through Roman probably winning a Rumble again.

The match itself will probably be an epic too, lol. Like you said about Brock and Cena, Roman and Bray (more so The Shield vs The Wyatt Family) really do have that chemistry, and both are pretty good workers with many other wrestlers too.

I'll watch the rumble though, always fun events I found, and the Kane/Ausin chat afterwards as the Taker one was great to see the man behind the character talk more openly like that.

I'm looking forward to it this year. Apparently this is the least prepared they've been for a WrestleMania as well (what backstage sources are saying). That alone gets me excited, because it means the card could go so many ways and it isn't really set in stone like it has been in the past. Really can't wait to see how it shapes up. My interest in wrestling is always much higher from January-April, I make en extra effort to keep up.

Absolutely, I've read similar that things aren't as set going forward too. If one thing AEW can do for the business as a whole, it's increase spontaneous stuff which is definitely gonna tick a big box in this house.

Plus the CM Punk thing hanging on in there, can't say never on that one, lol. And if he was put in with The Miz (after recent events), the mic work could be very engaging. Though much tamer than a Twitter spat, ha-ha.

Dream stuff I know, but until Punk just cannot wrestle ever, and given how Saudi's pulled Shawn back into the ring, I'm not placing any bets, lol.

So they're going ahead with WrestleMania at the Performance Center with no audience. I'm kind of hoping they cut some matches. 7+ hours of wrestling is ridiculous anyway, but without a crowd? I'm not sure I could sit through that. It's gonna be interesting either way, I suppose.

Awful Waffle

wow, I thought my emotions surrounding this event had long ago become sterile and clinical, because so much information had come out over the years.

but seeing the family talk about it for the first time brings everything back to the surface. this is not easy.

for example 31:07 is so intensely difficult to watch...

the sport that we loved as children really is responsible for shortening lives, killing these men, and by extension (in this case) an entire family. it's very conflicting. and perhaps the most tragic part of all might actually be the WWE's own response. because you're never going to solve this issue by sweeping it under the rug and pretending that Chris Benoit didn't exist. that helps no one. lessons have to be learned from past mistakes. in addition, the WWE shunning and effectively disowning his remaining family is abhorrent and almost unforgivable. the amount of new respect I have for Chavo Guerrero and Chris Jericho is overwhelming. they were apparently the only men who actually lived up to the ideal of the wrestling community being a FAMILY... so much shame on Vince for turning his back on the young and innocent David Benoit and then trying to erase Nancy Benoit's personal legacy and career; such f ucking shameful behavior.

I'm convinced Nancy Benoit deserves to be in the wrestling hall of fame.

So it looks like Roman is out of WrestleMania now and they're scrambling to find a replacement to face Goldberg

I don't mind Goldberg as a performer but now the decision to remove the title from the Fiend looks really stupid.

Crazy how much is coming out about wrestlers of late, blimey!

I'm sure many of the old 80's/90's stars have some skeletons they want to keep in their closets, and are glad social media wasn't about back then.

Haven't watched any wrestling for a few months aside the odd glance at AEW. This whole era with no crowds or just the roster/staff just kills it for me and I'm sure many. Surprised the shows are running really.

Hopefully justice is served for the victims and those responsible face jail time.

I've given up on AEW if I'm honest. Just doesn't do it for me. I've tried to have something to go alongside WWE since I stopped watching TNA but nothing is doing it. WWE has been awesome lately, Smackdown! especially.

Renee Young tweeted that she has tested positive for Covid 19. Jon Moxley stayed at home after reporting exposure to someone with coronavirus. PWInsider is reporting multiple positive cases among WWE talents

Wish all those afflicted a speedy recovery

In more positive news, NXT is set to have a champ vs champ faceoff in two weeks with Adam Cole vs Keith Lee. Should be fun

I watched the vineyard match 'taker had with AJ and enjoyed that one, and caught The Last Ride documentary which as a huge Undertaker fan for so long, it was absolutely awesome.

Highly recommend that doc to any long term fan.

Sorry couldn't resist :p

Started watching after Chapter 5 released and Undertaker announced his retirement. He's my all time favorite. I got into wrestling in 1999/2000 when The American Badass version of Undertaker was appearing and was hooked ever since. To say the man is my entire childhood may even be an understatement. To this day, the gong going still gets me jumping up and down in my living room. It's truly the end of an era for me as a fan, but I'm happy for him and at least Edge came back, my other favorite.

I was one of the lucky ones that got to watch his debut and like you, was drawn in and hooked from day one, lol. I was about 10 when he first started with that Survivor Series match and was both in awe and a bit scared of the character, lol. But it's been an amazing ride mostly ever since.

Definitely contributed to my love of horror movies too, lol.

The way they brought Kane in was brilliant and probably the greatest debut that had a huge impact on me too. Just a perfect story with Paul Bearer doing his part of course.

Then the badass, a great turn and change of pace. Added much on the mic for the era and just had me drawn in more and more. The whole Brothers of Destruction thing was awesome to watch as I loved both characters. Some great storylines with the likes of Mankind and Stone Cold back then.

The 4 matches with Shawn and HHH were great storytelling and some awesome matches, and when he lost the streak to Brock, I was bowled over at the time too.

30 years I've been a huge fan and I know I'll miss his ring presence, but he'll never be forgotten and I don't think he'll ever be topped either. But this documentary was so good for me to watch and learn more about the man behind the character, along with the Stone Cold Broken Skull interview. It bought a nice end to a character I've been invested in for so long and definitely had an influence on me throughout the years.

What a legend!
