Corndawg93 1,042 Posted March 18 (edited) Been watching a bunch of Raws and Smackdowns from 2002 and all I can say thank god the women are treated right, and listening to Jerry Lawler oogle of the women gets tiring Edited March 18 by Corndawg93
Is this The Guy? 5,700 Posted March 21 My interest in watching weekly was renewed after I saw that Becky won the Rumble. There was so much natural heat surrounding this match but like typical WWE fashion, they are over booking the crap out of this Becky/Charlotte/Rhonda feud I don’t even care anymore. And Angle vs Corbin for Angles last match ever? That has to be bs

The Gardener 163 Posted March 31 (edited) I'm a filthy casual wrestling fan. I watched the attitude and ruthless aggression era with pleasure, but nowadays only tune in around Mania season. Any of you guys want to give me some feedback on some bets I have? I've $25 on HHH to win. $5 on Braun to win battle royal. 5 for Lynch to win main event. 5 on Drew to beat Roman. 5 on Seth to beat Lesnar. 5 on Kofi to beat Daniel Bryan. 5 on Shane to beat Miz. Edited March 31 by The Gardener
DexMacLeod 1,201 Posted March 31 I think Roman wins in a tough, hard fought battle. Triple H vs Batista is a tough one. Neither guy really has anything to gain or lose as far as their career and legacies are concerned but I feel like Batista didn't come back just to lose. Shane and Miz is tough, too. I haven't really been keeping up with that story but if it's going to continue after WresteMania I'd say Shane wins. If the this is the end of it than the win probly goes to Miz. Mintal 531 Posted April 8 (edited) I don't watch WWE anymore because of all that PG crap. But I gave Wrestlemania a try and there was a moment that was freakin' amazing. I will put this in a spoiler tag, maybe some of you still haven't seen WM yet: Holy f*cking sh*t. When John Cena's thuganomics-theme appeared, I had a mark-out moment. This is the Cena I want to see when he appears on the WWE. Those edgy segments are just awesome and authentic, I think the "Doctor of Thuganomics" is - and always was - some kind of replica of the real John Cena in real life. It fits perfectly to him, even when he's 40+. John Cena is a god on the mic in my opinion, I think nobody can really deny that. Shame that WWE went PG and crippled his gimmick, I think Cena would be even better and even more successful today if he had more freedom regarding promos and stuff. PaeganLoveSong 801 Posted April 8 I've said it before and I'll say it again: the PG rating barely affects the product, as all of the issues over the last 12 years have existed since the New Generation. The problem isn't that talent can't curse, it's that we have a septuagenerian calling all the shots and there's very little long term planning, resulting in a mess of programming that barely matters. We don't need to see the same two people feuding only involved with one another. Austin/Rock wasn't a weekly thing each time it was hit and they mingled with the rest of the card. The best products have a hierarchy, sure, but one that is fluid and not like the current rigidity of WWE's.

Corndawg93 1,042 Posted May 26 AEWs Double or Nothing today, Who's watching?
Crokey 10,252 Posted May 26 I might check it out, since it's a bank holiday Monday so I don't have to get up early for work, and I'm liking what Cody and Co are proposing. Cause generally I'm p*ss bored of WWE and haven't seen any for probably coming on years, but I've read enough to not bother tuning in.
Lonely-Martin 24,408 Posted May 26 It's definitely TV14 going by the pre show alone. Need to check out the main show to see if that means better though. Pre-show was alright but it was a bit of a spot-fest and hard to judge the main show by but I didn't expect more from a promotional freebie mind you. They need time and the WWE really has lost the plot these days (wildcard rule, I dunno...), so I've got some spare.
Virtual-Antics 803 Posted May 26 21 hours ago, Corndawg93 said: AEWs Double or Nothing today, Who's watching? I watched it. At least, I caught the rerun today because my provider screwed up the live broadcast last night for a lot of customers. Overall, I liked AEWDoN. There were a few mistakes and dangerous bumps. Although, there was enough variety to hold my attention for four hours. I cared more about these matches (especially the Japanese Six Woman's Tag Team match, The Young Bucks vs Lucha Bros, Cody vs Dustin, and Jericho vs Omega) than most matches from MITB. (Becky Lynch/Lacey Evans/Charlotte/Bayley match was good and also The Men's MITB match.) Don't get me wrong... I like WWE and especially NXT. It's just good to have an alternative to watch and not the same repetitive WWE feuds.

Guest Billy Russo Posted September 28 So I literally haven't watched WWE in like forever now, can't remember the last time. However, next week's line-up has me intrigued. RAW/SD are getting completely new looks and sets, pyro is returning, SmackDown is moving over to FOX. I'm just really interested to see how much of a difference this makes. I'll likely be checking out the highlights on YouTube next week, hopefully it grabs me because I've not had a reason to watch this for years now.
