I got a vent a little bit. I know it's early but I've seen/heard enough of this sh*t that it ought to become a public issue.

Listen, when CM Punk left.....the state the product was in was not good. It was beyond frustrating and is why many hardcore wrestling fans sympathized with Punk, despite being upset by his departure. The concept of the 'CM Punk' chant to display disdain for what was going on in the ring was a beautiful touch that got the point across. One of the better things the fans have been able to put together in some time.

Now the product is much better. I still have gripes and reservations which we can get into more detail if you want, but the last two times I've heard the 'CM Punk' chant has made me want to start punching people. On Monday night, a 'CM Punk' chant....along with a 'Go Away' chant broke out during the TJP match.

Now....lol.....first of all....the 'CM Punk' chant was kind of reserved for fans who knew a thing or two about wrestling. If you knew who TJ Perkins, Rich Swann, and the like were before the CWC....than I would say you know a thing or two about wrestling. Any objective wrestling fan would be thrilled-as-f*ck about the inclusion of these world class performers into main stream programing. "Cruiserweights" or not....their presence on TV is a watershed moment. It's a good thing. Second, if you watched ANY of the CWC....there is no-f*cking-way that you wouldn't be excited about seeing these guys perform. This, above all else, demonstrated the disparity between WWE's hardcore fan base and the toothless jamooks who pay $5 for a nose bleed chair, and still think it's real, chanting 'CM PUNK' during the match. Finally, while I don't know the guy personally, I'm GUESSING CM Punk would love the f*ck out of seeing TJP and the like get show time. To think otherwise is....well....

It's ignorant-as-f*ck.

Like, what do those people prefer? Should we bring out Big Show and have him cry some more? Maybe we can bring out THE DEMON KANE and have him frivolously challenge for the title? Would that be better? IS THAT WHAT CM PUNK WOULD WANT? CM PUNK! CM PUNK!

Shut.....the....f*ck....up.

The other CM Punk chant broke loose a few weeks ago in a women's match. I think it was Sasha....Charlotte....Bayley (??) Maybe it was Becky and it was before the brand split. I know Sasha and Charlotte were in the ring and hearing 'CM PUNK' chants made me....WHAT-THE-FUUUUUUCK?! Not only does everything I said above apply here, but it also drips with a subtle sexist undertone that women can't or shouldnt be wrestling in the eyes of these fans. It wasn't 3 minutes into the match when the chant broke out.

If it were 5 years ago and the we're looking at two nameless blondes screaming and pulling each other's hair....then by all means....'CM Punk' your f*cking heads off.

But we're talking about Sasha Banks....and Charlotte.....and what-the-f*ck are you watching? I guess we can just commit to the fact that these people haven't watch NXT? So I can understand if it's new to you....but to see women in the ring wrestling, and your mind immediately goes to...."This aint wrastlin! Women dont wrastle! CM PUNK! CM PUNK!".....kill-your-mother-f*cking-self.

The ultimate beef I have with all of this, is my worry that this kind of sh*t resonates backstage where movers and shakers hear the crowds response and begin to back peddle on the idea of Cruiserweights and Women's Wrestling. THAT is my ultimate fear. I don't go to many wrestling shows live anymore because of the kind of crowd they've pandered to over the last 10-15 years is so f*cking uneducated (wrestling and otherwise) that it makes the experience miserable. The last show I went to was a Smackdown in about 2005 or so where a woman a few seats away from me called the police because Edge was attacking someone with a chair.

:sui:

I tried explaining to her and her inbred family that it was a scripted show. "Mam, it's not real! It's a show!"

Her face - :wtf:

Her reply - "Then why don't someone come stop it then?"

I have no idea who's really calling the shots anymore. I've read that Vince still has the final say, but he does this mostly from Connecticut now. I've heard it's mostly HHH at the guerilla position and Steph leading creative. I've read Shane has been interjecting and causing some bad blood between he and his sister/sister's husband. The Raw where Finn Balor won the opportunity to face Seth Rollins for the strap was apparently all Vince....? I guess? Then again HHH is the mastermind behind NXT and everything that has come from it. So.......I don't f*cking know.

What scares me to death is now that they have all this talent....and they decided to split the brands....the additional titles and the lack of depth in the supporting divisions (Women, Tag Team) ends up watering down the product. This is EXACTLY what they did the last time they 'split the brands' and we ended up with WHC like Jack Swagger....and the Great Khali.......and Tag Champions like Duece N' Domino.

God help us.

I promise I'll remain optimistic until proven otherwise.

Anyone blocked by wrestlers on Twitter? 6 and counting for me.

Just Kevin Owens. And that was just because my friends had me tagged in this huge twitter party and he got annoyed so he just blocked all of the people tagged.

I made fun of Perkins for being a Kobe Bryant fanboy, called Kobe "overrated" and a "shot jacker" and I made fun of Crews for constantly smiling whenever he's on TV, I guess that's what got me blocked by him.

Damn, Becky Lynch out of no mercy due to neck injury.

Several sources says she might be shelved for a little while

Two main (and conflicting) reports going around. One that it's an injury (neck), and the other, which comes from PWI, that it'snot an injury at all, but a "health issue" which should only sideline her for 2-4 weeks.

Well from the sounds of things, their luck is about to run out. They owe a lot of people a lot of money. Including Billy Corgan, who fronted the cash for a lot of their recent tapings under the condition that he'd be taking control of the company in the near future. However, sounds like once Dixie had his money (and the money of a lot of other investors) she backed out. Hence, Corgan, and several other parties, are suing ATM.

Gaffa Tape and string.

Most of the recent rumours going around is that a certain Connecticut based outfit are interested in buying the video library, which may help with the black hole of debt. The result of this may end up giving them a majority share where they'll boot out Dixie and let Corgan run it, as a sort of independently run outfit keeping the TNA name and branding etc, but WWE will own it as a sort of subsidiary.

... it's like Dixe never heard of WCW.

That's from a week or so ago. WWE have pulled out from any sort of deal now. I'd speculate that if anything, they are awaiting TNA's collapse, at which point they'll be able to buy the library (if they still want it) for way less.

As things stand, Billy is still the only one left looking to take control of TNA, and he expected to have the money he put in for past tapings to be deducted from his purchase bid, but Dixie's being stubborn, hence Billy & others are suing.

WWE were even looking to air TNA on the network as part of their upcomming tiered sub scheme until they realised how sunk TNA truly are.

*edit* Latest has them being at least $3.4m in the hole, and that's after having sold a portion of thier tape library to Panda. Although Dixie's dad owns Panda if I have my facts right.

Oh dear. Anthem (Fight Network) bought TNA, and Dixie's remaining in charge. Anthem potentially throwing piles of cash into the fire there.

Guys, apparently, Goldberg's return promo was unscripted and it was a shoot promo :)
It's believable, as Bill really looked natural and his mic skills were amazing.

I'm a week late, but it was amazing seeing Goldberg again; while I'm not really digging the whole "Kid loving" side of him (which is understandable considering he has a family now), I'm sure he's still the same beast on the ring.

Also I haven't posted in this thread in months, but I LOVE Jericho; I think the only reason I even watch RAW anymore is for him and Owens. Smackdown has really became the favorite, not just for me.

Hey, I remember being in this topic a lot. Years ago that is. But yeah, I loved seeing Goldberg on Raw. I never got to watch Goldberg growing up so that was awesome to experience for the first time.

This whole Corgan Vs. Dixie saga just gets better and better. WWE (along with anyone else) were essentially frozen out of any dealings with TNA due to Corgan's restraining order (that is, TNA cannot make any deals/sales/etc) without his consent until his lawsuit with them is settled!

The insolvency claim insinuates that TNA's debts are somewhere between $4 and $5 million right now (previous estimates were $3.6m), while they continue to be hit with what seems like an additiinal lawsuit every other day, which one would assume will push the level of their debts yet higher.

Dixie denies insolvency yet declines to release any supporting evidence. Meanwhile, the court date nears.

And that's just the overview!
