Actually, wasn't John Cena doing that 'My Life' DVD, during his surgery?

Anyways, I'm going to be watching RAW tonight for sure. I want to get a recap of what happened at WrestleMania.

Before I begin I would like to congratulate Ric Flair, he will be missed. WOOOOOOOOOO! JBL winning hopefully will be explained tonight. It was unexpected as he really didn't deserve it. It wasn't my favourite decision to have CM Punk win the MITB match, but I would love to see him feud with Kane. It was a great match. Finally Punk has some competition. but it seems good to have a fresh face win the match. I really want to see how he does at RAW, as there are plans to ship him over in the exchange of Umaga. I felt that Batista had to win not only because he's face but because SD! needs to entertain the fans more. I can't really blame HBK for putting the end to /flair's career. Although, they both put on a show, I still can't believe it's Flair's time. Hopefully he stays with the business in some way. Did not expect Phoenix and Melina to win. At least Maria is back on the market gentlemen! I guess they wouldn't let Mayweather get his ass kicked being that he is the "greatest fighter in the world" and not the greatest trash talker in the world, also he's a celebrity.... Honestly don't get one of the Cosby kids to tell me about the Make-A-Wish foundation. really pointless. do you think she watches wrestling? I hate her voice. To be honest again, I wasn't expecting Orton to walk away with the title. I was just as suprised as all of you. It still beats Cena winning. 16-0. 16-1? (when) will it end?

FULL WRESTLEMANIA 24 RESULTS

Lots of 'Mania Notes, Post 'Mania Plans, Ric Flair's Future, More:

Tonight's Raw is being touted as a must-see show tonight, mainly due to Ric Flair. Reports right now are stating the company will be holding a Ric Flair retirement ceremony and bringing back names from his past to take part (including those on the roster, working backstage and others who haven't been seen on TV for a long time).

There has been talk as of this afternoon in trying to ban WWE from using pyro at tonight's Raw at the Amway Arena. Local radio show hosts and politicians in the area have been pushing Mayor Buddy Dyer to get it done after the fireworks incident last night. Whether it will happen remains to be seen.

A power failure occurred at WrestleMania XXIV during the Bunny Mania match. According to several correspondents they lost lights, all the monitors, and the huge video board above the ring. While the engineering crew worked vigorously to get the power back on, they used backup power to light the ring. Several people reported that it was very hard to see the ending of the Bunny Mania match as the backup power had very limited lighting. The power was restored shortly after the Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Triple H match started.

During WrestleMania XXIV a commercial ran for next year’s WrestleMania which will be held at the Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Of course next year will be the 25th anniversary of ‘Mania.

Who was backstage at WrestleMania?. TNA wrestler Kevin Nash was there as was former star Test. The Rock was not backstage. Steve Austin was also backstage.

It did not rain at all during 'Mania which was a relief to many backstage.

The overall backstage impressions is that the show was a huge success. I agree.

- Any major injuries from the show thus far other than the minor bumps and bruises have not been heard at this time. Although many fans were injured as WFTV 9 out of Orlando is reporting that dozens of fans were injured last night at WrestleMania XXIV when fireworks plunged into the crowd and exploded. Three fans were transported to the Orlando Regional Medical Center to be treated for non-life threatening injuries including burns.

- The reason the Triple Threat Match did not go on last as planned is obviously because they didn't do a title change and they wanted a big event to end the show.

- Former WWE Diva Jackie Gayda was briefly shown in the audience during Saturday night's WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony telecast. Of course, Gayda is the wife of WWE Raw star Charlie Haas.

- Big Show was told that he was staying heel after WrestleMania to work a title program with Undertaker. Another storyline idea being tossed around is a Big Show vs. Great Khali program, although that probably won't be taking place until later in the year. Also as of last week, WWE has plans to move Umaga to the SmackDown.

- WWE has plans to release another DVD on Ric Flair on July 8. Amazon.com has a landing page on the product for the upcoming DVD. There are absolutely no details on it yet as all it says is "Ric Flair."

TNA @ 'Mania Last Night:

-- TNA set up a booth outside of the Citrus Bowl that showed a looped video of TNA footage. TNA staff members were giving out TNA t-shirts and postcards to fans as they headed for Wrestlemania. TNA also had a booth directly across the street from Thunder Field, where WWE had set up their final AXXESS event on Sunday.

-- Team 3D, AJ Styles, Kaz and Earl Hebner all showed up at the WWE AXXESS event in Universal Studios at different times over the weekend to promote TNA. WWE was very upset about this and portrayed it as TNA wrestlers leaving their own tapings to go visit with WWE.

-- TNA's setup promoting iMPACT! remained at Citrus Field until after WrestleMania ended and was even there after the WWE AXXESS event had left.

-- There were Internet reports of TNA planning to fly a plane with a banner over the Citrus Bowl at WrestleMania. A TNA plane never flew over WrestleMania. Officials were said to be upset with the story on the TNA plane getting out, although WWE officials were aware of their apparent plans long before it broke out. A plane did fly during WrestleMania, but it was for a strip club. The plane flew above the Citrus Bowl with the message "Wooo!" Some in attendance were nervous because so many planes plus a blimp were flying around so close to each other.

During this weekend's FAN AXXESS event in Orlando, Hillbilly Jim, who was one of the hosts, said that WrestleMania is returning to Orlando, Florida in 2010. Jimmy Hart, another host, quickly reacted and made it clear that this was NOT supposed to be revealed. Realizing fans had already heard what Hillbilly Jim had said, Jimmy Hart began an "Again in 2010!" chant.
- This afternoon Ric Flair was a guest on Mark Packer's syndicated radio show "Primetime With The Packman". Flair got very emotional during the interview and shed some light on his future in pro wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment.

- This afternoon Ric Flair was a guest on Mark Packer's syndicated radio show "Primetime With The Packman". Flair got very emotional during the interview and shed some light on his future in pro wrestling and World Wrestling Entertainment.

Flair said that he will not be going into announcing, but will be working with WWE in a "public relations" capacity moving forward. The Nature Boy has several years left on his WWE contract.

That came out a long time before he injured.

YES! My prediction was true! Both Brothers of Destruction walked out of 'Mania as champions. biggrin.gif

Agreed, especially when Big Show was making his promise to Flair earlier in the night, but big f*cking Khali had to come. I knew this would happen, giant vs. giant.

60 bows down and thanks the greatest wrestler to ever lace up a pair of boots

Wow, that was sad as hell. Almost had tears in my eyes.

But honestly, I was hoping at the very end, Mr. McMahon would come out and everyone would make way by the entrance. Not to do something stupid, but seriously congratulating Ric.

And some of you may say, "Oh Mr. McMahon is an ass". But to tell you the truth, if it weren't for him. There would be no famous Ric Flair, as he is today. Let alone WWE.

Thank you Ric Flair! Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

He's going to be deeply missed, and never forgotten. cryani.gif

I'm seriously going to miss him a lot.

But think of it this way, it's better off. They made this storyline to end Flair's career. Rather than just have him disappear, all of a sudden. Plus I knew the time would come, and they would do something big for him. Though I remember reading somewhere, he was considering retiring unnoticed. But WWE made him an 'offer' to stay, and promised him that they would give him the title one more time, just for his greatness in the WWE. But obviously that didn't happen.

Oh and by the way, damn HBK! mad.gif

(J/K) tounge.gif

Though, I can see a feud happening with him and Batista. Damn this is going to be great.

Big Show vs. Khali..knew it was going to come, as someone here mentioned it was going to be a "Giant vs. giant" feud.

Forgot to metion, WM24 was the sh*t. icon14.gif

I wouldn't really say that. Ric Flairs main place was never the WWF. He was always a much bigger drawl in the NWA and even WCW. He was only witht the WWF for from 91-93 (not counting his later WWE run). Sure he won the title twice, but that was nothing compared to what he was doing in NWA and WCW. The WWF just wasn't all that big of a showcase for him.

Being a smartass? I was just stating the facts. Flair never did much in the WWF. He was only there for from 91-93. He won the 92 Royal Rumble and the WWF title twice. And he had a good feud with Savage. But other than that, nothing else he did in the WWF was all that spectacular. His total combined WWF title reigns amount to only 118 days. And he never really had a big feud with Hogan (due to Hogan being off air during the steroid scandal). And his time with the WWE from the invasion til now has just been to put over newer talent. He hasn't been in the main title picture since coming back. Just face it. It was the NWA who made Flair who he is, not the WWE. Flair was huge long before he ever touched a WWF ring.

I will deeply miss Flair. they did a very good job on RAW giving him a farewell.

Quick RAW notes.

What you didn't see on RAW:

After Raw went off the air, The Undertaker and Vince McMahon came to the ring to pay tribute to Flair. Undertaker got down on one knee before Flair while McMahon raised Flair's arm, then hugged him. Flair called for his family to return to the ring. He took his coat off, did a strut and dropped an elbow on his coat. Flair thanked everyone, then walked up the aisle shaking hands with everyone as the crowd gave him a standing ovation. Flair got a kiss on the cheek from Stephanie McMahon as he exited.

As Flair got to the top of the ramp, all the wrestlers bowed before Flair.

-- Note: The WWE had pitched Mick Foley the opportunity to do a "This is Your Life" segment on Ric Flair, but I don't think it has been comfirmed yet. Hopefully it will be confirmed for next week.

Shad Gaspard and JTG returned as the tag team Cryme Tyme to WWE on tonight's edition of Raw from the Amway Arena in Orlando, Florida in a match against Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade.

It is interesting to note that both Shad and JTG posted blogs on their MySpace pages yesterday that included the letters "T.N.A.B". They also changed their profile pictures on MySpace to an image of these letters. This led to speculation from their fans that they were going to TNA. Obviously the letters have another meaning or were used to throw people off before returning tonight on Raw.

Cryme Tyme was released by WWE back in September due to a backstage incident at a WWE show involving Trevor Murdoch and Lance Cade.

Wow, that was a freaking excellent farwell ceremony they gave Flair. I will miss him as well. Definitely enjoyed him being there. It was superb seeing all the wrestlers come out there and clap for him. It's been great Ric. I think he will somehow still stay with the company, probably on the creative team or even help write some great storylines. Flair forever.

It's a shame they didn't show the Undertaker paying tribute to Flair on TV. I guess they didn't want to show Taker breaking character on television. Hell didn't everyone break character during it? Even JBL!

JBL, Randy Orton, Edge, Kane, Snitsky, just about everybody. Hopefully somebody recorded it from the crowd and will put it on YouTube.

My apology. That language wasn't needed at all.

But it seems, like you're stating you're own opinion. Saying that Ric Flair wasn't that 'big', in WWF. That doesn't mean, everyone has to agree with you.

I can say Ric Flair sucks, obviously not everyone will agree with me.

E.D.I.T

I recently just finished watching ECW. Though on the last match, I kind of lost focus on it. All the matches were lame except maybe the last one with Kane and CM Punk Vs. Chavo and Shelton.

In the beginning they just simply talked about WM. Kane and CM Punk were addressing their victories and what they each won. (Obviously being the "MITB" and the ECW title)

For those who havent already seen it, heres what happened after Raw went off the air.

EDIT: Damn Video got taken down already.

Anyone who didn't see it, it was straight after Raw went off the air it had the Undertaker coming down to the ring and embracing Flair before getting down on one knee before him. Vince then came down to the ring and raised Flairs arm up in the air. Was a good video shame it's been taken down.
