If he's at Fastlane, they'll do it then, they'll tease it to be big finish at a PPV. It's the same thing that Kenta/Hideo Itami has been doing in NXT, they've been teasing the GTS, but not pulled it off yet. It's been done at a house show, but on screen yet.

I love how over the top the New Day is. Wish there were more talkers like the rock. Usos got boo'd last night, they needed something to help, too bad the Rock isn't enough

 

The ref for the divas match was odd. He was too loud, must be new and wanted to stand out. I thought he was horrible. Threw off the match for me, could have just been me tho.

WWE redeemed the Royal Rumble PPV tonight after the last 2 being a massive dumpster fire, and for that I salute you WWE

Hooray for my first RAW in months! Missed the opening segment but tuned in 20 minutes into the show, loved the match between AJ Styles and Jericho... and that's about it.

 

I did find myself entertained during the Rock segment and the New Day (I LOVE those guys) way more than anything else that occurred in those 2 1/2 hours.

 

Fell asleep during the main event, tired of seeing Ambrose and Reigns together despite me loving Ambrose.. but I am interested in the main event of Fastlane, even though it seems like a useless PPV IMO

No, it's that The Authority spent all this time trying to get the title off reigns, and when they finally do it, they basically give him another chance to wrestle for the title.

Swearing, gay jokes AND sexual innuendo allowed on Raw? Yep! It's Wrestlemania Season alright!

 

Overall not a bad show and I didn't have an immense feeling of regret for watching for the first time since October, which is rare because when I tune into Raw after a long break, I usually end up tuning into a really bad episode. The promos were good, we had a couple solid matches and some build for Mania.

 

I do agree that the approach to Reigns-McMahon is massively flawed. Because

 

A. If the Authority hates him so much stop putting him in matches for the title/title shot.

 

and

 

B. There's no Commissioner/General Manager to make this a lucid and logical story. Shawn Michaels or Foley would come out to counter the evil McMahon character and give the face (Usually Austin or Rock) a chance at title contention, that was sensible but this just isn't.

 

The Authority angle is not only played out and beginning to bore a large preponderance of the audience now, but it's losing logic by the episode. When they do something heel-ish and then act likes faces at another moment, it doesn't make a lot of sense. I get what they might go for with them being a little more indecisive than 1998 Vince, but having them do something cruel that is just mean-spirited and isn't provoked and then do something good out of the kindness of their heart isn't what I'd call good character writing, it's just random.

Just seeing Triple H act like a mean ol' tyrant on Raw and then like a father figure on NXT just doesn't work well. Really the only heels I enjoy are Kevin Owens and Alberto Del Rio, and I really loathe the League of Nations.

 

Also the Future Stars Pack is out today for anyone who plays 2K like me, can't wait to use Samoa Joe.

Baron Corbin was the WWE Champion After cashing in on Brock Lesner who had a minor injury, but after defeating Daniel Bryan at Battle Ground, my Created dude, went after Baron and put him on the shelf and was forced to Vacate the title so at Summer Slam I made a Triple Threat Match for the title with Dean Ambrose vs Daniel Bryan vs Roman Reigns

 

And a much better story with Shawn Michaels and Seth Rollins happened as well, Seth Rollins put HBK on shelf for a month and when he came back Seth tried putting him back there and failed and ended up tapping out to HBK so at Battle ground Seth Rollins went over on HBK but it wasn't over then, they later went at it at Summer Slam in the main event in a Last Man Standing and Rollins won that as well

Can't believe I've never posted in this thread in all the years I've been here, but many people probably don't know (actually I don't think anyone does) I'm a huge wrestling fan from way back. I was one of those Attitude Era kids, but I stopped watching religiously after 2006.

 

I've only watched it on and off since then. However out of curiosity I watched the Royal Rumble and decided to see the aftermath on RAW. I can't even remember the last time I done that. It was a little strange jumping back into it after so long. I've been trying to familiarise myself with today's stars. I mean I'm from an era where Stone Cold and The Rock ruled the roost.

 

It was pretty cool seeing AJ win his RAW debut against Jericho too.

Sadly WWF/E isn't as good as it was back then, I've always considered 1999 and 2000 to be the best years in WWF history.

 

At the least, we did get a good Rumble this year and Mania might be good since they're going to want to sell out Cowboys Stadium and break the 100,000 people attendance mark, there's no way they stack that card with boring or crappy matches if they're chasing their live attendance record from Mania 3.

Sting has had surgery to correct cervical spinal stenosis, not sure if he'll be at Mania but it'd be great to see because that match would have all the bells and whistles needed to be great even if both guys are over 50 they'll add the drama and story for it to be awesome, like Sting-Hogan at Starrcade.

To be honest, you jumped off around the right time. Product was already on a downfall in 2007 and nosedived hard and has never been as good as it once was ever since Chris Benoit died. There's been some good stuff over the years but WWE has done their best to actively kill any remaining enthusiasm I've had over the past couple of years.

 

As far as WM goes, for me it's Randy Orton or bust. If he manages to make it in time, then I will retain some interest, otherwise I couldn't care less because Rock is unlikely to compete and Brock is being wasted on Bray Wyatt. If Bray jobs this year too, it's like they're on a roll with him and a reverse streak at WM. Cena, Taker, now Brock, will it be Rock, Orton and HHH's turns over the 3 following years to beat him at the big stage? And Batista was supposedly offered an idea about making a WM appearance but he turned it down.
