Well before Raw, wwe.com was running a poll on who people think should be the winner and Cesaro topped the poll ahead of Ambrose, Reigns and Owens. Keep in mind that those who frequent wwe.com aren't your standard IWC types and are generally the casuals and non-smarky buggers like us.

Reigns was leading the WWE.COM poll for a long time before reddit etc. brought it to the attention of the IWC, so I wouldn't take the poll too seriously - especially as you can vote repeatedly on wwe.com polls.

 

I don't think there will be another Yes Movement type thing on (or near) the scale which Bryan recieved. Although I'd love to see it.

While Bryan has more natural charisma, I think Cesaro can actually cut a better promo if let loose. Cesaro could get to that level if they keep holding him back from winning while still featuring him in matches on TV so he's not a total jobber.

Cesaro just has presence, not sure what it is, he's not a very good actor, yet he pulls it off so elegantly.

well, this years survivor series had the potential of being one of the better ones they've had, given the situation with the world belt, having a tournement just as good as KORT93 or SS98, but it's clear it's going to be absolute crap and they rushed storylines, as per usual, making up matches at the last minute and not even announcing the survivor series match, of which there is only one! and a tag match for undertaker?! WTF?! it would have been cool to have him involved in a SS match with him emerging sole survivor to celebrate his 25th, that would be nice for the fans and him.

 

survivor series is one of the 'top 4' PPVs, yet it seems to have been treated and prepped so BADLY for god knows how long. royal rumble has become equally bad in being treated as part of the wrestlemania obsession and not treated and respected as its own PPV (e.g. 1997 was excellent on its own). wrestlemania is the 'try-too-hard' show and they're giving summerslam a similar treatment. they should cut the number of PPVs they have as well there is far too many.

 

i wont watch it, probably just read the results on wiki during my lunch hour at work.

anyone else not really looking forward to SS?

It's been a terrible build TBH so I'm not surprised you forgot Billy. And I totally agree with Nihilanth1982 about how they've handled most of their PPV's lately.

 

Anyway, my predictions:

Regins Vs. Del Rio

Ambrose Vs. Owens

Reigns Vs. Owens

I don't predict a Sheamus cash-in, but Owens doesn't win the tornement, it wouldn't surprise me.

Undertaker & Kane Vs. 2 Wyatts

Charlotte Vs. Paige

Ziggler Vs. Breeze

And I predict an entire match:

Stardust, The Ascension, Big E & Kofi (w/ Woods) Vs. Dudleys, Usos, & Cesaro

 

 

And my hopes:

Sheamus cashes in and fails

Cesaro may have a rotator cuff injury which may require surgery, and may be out for 4-6 months...

Cesaro's injury just puts another damper on the awful state of the product. This is getting 2007 levels of bad with all the injuries, only not as bad because there has not been a Benoit incident.

 

This is not a surprise but just about every dirt-sheet report says it's gonna be ReignsWinsLOL so I'm not even gonna bother with it, not that I was going to to begin with.

Haven't watched a single PPV since Mania, or a show since June.. tuned in for the final 10 minutes and as predictable as it was (this has been going around for a few months now) it was a pleasure to see.

Sheamus has quickly become one of my favorite wrestlers this year thanks to his heel turn, Reigns laying down for 5 minutes after the match was over while crying was icing on the cake.

Might actually watch tomorrow's RAW.

Other than the great Owens-Ambrose match, not much good wrestling. ADR vs Reigns was a mediocre Raw match, the Survivor Series match was decent but lost all heat when the New Day left, Wyatt's getting squashed was disappointing and Ambrose-Reigns was sub-par and the two didn't seem to click.

 

Sheamus Vs Roman Reigns for the title sounds like sh*t.

I'm glad that he took the title off Roman so we don't have to endure a title reign from him, but It really does sound like a boring match up.

Sheemoose cashes in and beats Reigns, but why not cash in before the ending of the match, so Reign and Ambrose both feel cheated and not just Roman

i saw SS whilst at work. overall, considering the limited resources and talent they have, i actually thought it wasnt too bad. not great but not sh*te either.

 

- reigns winning was predictable but at least he won it with credibility. the last match should have gone on about 5-10mins longer.

- tag team match was the worst of the night. it was so lethargic. undertaker has to retire at wm32, he just cant do anymore. it was nice to see him win and seeing the pic slideshow on the titantron when he was making his entrance was actually quite moving.

- both SS matches were underwhelming.

- the divas match went a little longer than others but it wasnt a bad ring effort

- i was glad most matches actually happened in the ring and there wasnt much use of chairs, tables or any of that nonsense. yes, there was some actual wrestling!

- was glad they cut down the amount of talking. sick of the 'promos' crap in wrestling these days

- dude taking a selfie in the ring after winning = lolz.

 

think they should cut TLC from the ppv calendar. such a crappy, gimicky and dated idea.
