My thoughts on Cena:

 

2003: Who's this jobber jabroni thinking he can be in the ring with Kurt Ange

2004: This guy is Malibu's Most Wanted Now? Man this show is declining

2006: This guy is the top guy now? f*ck this product.

2013: This guy is STILL around and on top? Fuuuuuuuuuck.

 

Who else has been watching previous rumble matches to get ready? I watched 2000 and 2001 back to back and one thing I always liked about the matches were all the side stories going on during the matches. There wasn't really anything like that last year.

We'll see some Shield related stuff tied in with Ambrose and Reigns being friends while both are in the Rumble as well as maybe some Rollins interference I'd imagine. Big Show and Reigns will cross paths, Bryan and Kane might face off a bit. Bray and Harper should cross paths as well.

It's obvious John Cena will win the Championship and then win the Rumble for the first John Cena vs John Cena match where the match and world ends after they break the numeric system by having too many two count kickouts.

Still better than a Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar main event.

 

I fully approve Brock in the Rumble, specially for the possibility of interactions with Orton which is something I've been dying to see for years.

I'm not gunna lie, I'm glad Rollins was added to the match, because it just being Cena/Lesner again would be boring, don't get me wrong seeing Cena getting his ass handed to him was great and all, but it's very boring seeing it more than once, love triple threats and fatal 4 ways, they should release A best of DVD for them

Yeah, though it feels like Cena is just in it to please his fans, the last couple weeks it's felt like the match is more about Lesnar and Rollins.

 

Speaking of Cena I'm watching the 2003 RR match and I just got reminded of how terrible the thuganomics gimmick was though at least I could laugh at that. His current gimmick just annoys the sh*t out of me.

What happened to David Otunga

He's busy mooching money off WWE whilst being a highly paid lawyer and being married to a famous woman... as someone in WWE thinks that it means Hollywood exposure... when really it doesn't... and his wages could have kept someone like Drew Macintyre in the company who actually has talent and the desire to do the job...

 

That's what's happened to him.

 

PS Nice Titantron video, shame that Randy Orton hates that tune.

Doesn't Orton hate it because he didn't feel it was heavy enough? I think that was part of the reason they gave him "This Fire Burns" for one night on Smackdown before a match with Super Crazy. It's a good theme and was fitting for his short lived babyface run after being turned on my Evolution.

He never explained why he hates it. He just said he didn't like it since day one and suggested "This Fire Burns" as replacement but then they felt it didn't suit him so he had to go back to "Burn in My Light" for another two years before he got "Voices".

 

Shame because it's an awesome song. And great titantron btw. Was it just a 'remake' of the original with the same footage? Because I don't recall ever seeing that double DDT on Edge and Christian (around 2:56) from that angle although I do remember the match when Orton tagged with Shawn. Pretty good match that I watched again a few weeks ago.
