I missed SD completly.

Can someone tell me if anything big happened.

I know they had that match with Undertaker and Kane Vs Mark Henry and Big Daddy V but thats it.

SD seriously need some, well, respectable tag teams...

Yea, that is why i said they should put London and Kendricks back together. They are just so predictably, unpredictably predictable.

Both of the irshmen are gay and boring, everyone know it but know we are just waiting for Runningman to wake up and come to his senses to realise this too.

Umm, If you haven't noticed London & Kendrick are on RAW. Wow, I didn't notice that Finlay was a homosexual. sarcasm.gif I actually enjoy finlay. I like his onorthadox and technical styles he brings to the ring. I'm also glad he's in the Chamber, he's going to even things out with behemoths like Viscera and Khali (which have no buisness competing in this kind of match). Which brings me to my next point, No Way Out has the potential to draw a sh*tload of money for the WWE. Two Elimination Chambers, and Two world title defenses. All we need now is some diva action. tounge.gif

I watched SD! last night on TRUE HD television, and watching the Ric Flair match, he really needs to retire. I respect him for coming out and still wrestling and entertaining at almost 60, but everyone needs to throw in the towel sometime. I just hope that his retirement match at WM doesn't fail like the Lesnar-Goldberg retirement match did.

I never liked the Divas. The reality is that they aren't especially good at wrestling, and are mainly just there for eye candy. I think bra and pantie matches, nightgown matches, and pillow matches are just a waste of airtime, and filler in between matches. Seriously, stuff like that is for horny junior-high kids. Not to mention that I'm sure the WWE has come under fire at some point in time for objectifying women (The Godfather, anyone?*).

*even though The Godfather was the sh*t.

You've just made me feel young again smile.gif

I think things are doing alright at the moment, they could however do with a bit more continuity in their storylines, and enough with the repetativeness, for the past month it's just seemed like a repeat when it comes to the Finlay, Great Khali thing for an example.

And what's happend to the Tag Teams, they don't have any 'glue' at the moment, they just seem to pair up randoms that don't really fit together, I'm harking back to the days of the Hart Foundation, Legion of Doom, The Bushwackers and The Demolition etc. you don't get that now.

WWE Not Competing With The Superbowl/UFC, Overseas Tour, More

Source - PWInsider

There are no WWE house shows scheduled for this weekend. With Saturday being the date of UFC 81 (which will headline former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir) and Sunday being the Superbowl it makes sense to give the talent a weekend off.

WWE will be taping two weeks of RAW this coming Monday at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. One will be broadcast on tape delay later that evening while the other show will air on February 11th when the RAW superstars are overseas in Japan.

The RAW brand will then head to Alaska on Wednesday, February 6th to hold a show at the Carlson Center in Fairbanks, Alaska. The next night they will have a show at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage, Alaska with the main event being WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. the winner of a 15-man Battle Royal that will contain Chris Jericho, Umaga, Jeff Hardy, Mr. Kennedy and others.

The SmackDown/ECW crews will be doing tapings on Tuesday, February 5th at the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. The next night both crews will head to the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas to tape the February 12th edition of ECW and the February 15th edition of SmackDown.

All WWE brands will then be on International tours with SmackDown/ECW going to Mexico, Ecuador, and Chile, while the RAW brand goes to South Korea and Japan.

Vince McMahon Doesn't Get HD, WWE Signs Huge Indy Wrestler?

Source - Wrestling Observer Newsletter

- With WWE’s recent switch to High Definition there have been many complaints about several cable providers not offering the USA Network or Sci-Fi channel in HD. Humorously enough, Cablevision, the cable provider that services the Greenwich, CT area including Vince McMahon’s family mansion does not offer either network in High Definition. No doubt that Vince could get the shows in HD via satellite; it’s still likely he’s not thrilled about his own cable provider not offering the service.

- An indy wrestler in the Carolinas that goes by the name Janus told coworkers two weekends ago that he has signed a developmental deal with World Wrestling Entertainment and will begin training in FCW soon. He is said to be a huge African-American with the right look, so to speak, compared to the same stature of Bobby Lashley. He was trained in Virginia Championship Wrestling and debuted about a year ago.

I think the Women's Division now is just boring. I missed the glory days of Trish Stratus, Lita, Molly Holly, Gail Kim etc. Hell, in SvR 07, and 08, I never had any Diva on my roster. Even if I was the Raw GM (I know, I'm a dick. tounge.gif ) TNA's women division IMO far surpasses the WWE's. TNA focuses on the wrestling while WWE focuses on the looks. Vince, when will you realize that Diva's aren't just there to draw more horny males to the audience?

I too think that the Hornswoggle storyline is quite irritating. They waste air time, just to push this guy?! He's made many top level heels look like idiots (for example: Carlito, Regal, Umaga etc.) and he makes the WWE look like a damn Looney Tunes cartoon. I've always wanted to see him get his butt handed to him, (I know, I'm a major dick. tounge.gif ) and most of the times he just runs away or somebody plays hero and saves him. The Royal Rumble was where I believed that would happen, but Finlay ran in and saved the guy while getting himself disqualified.

That's all I have to say.

uhh.. kind of posted that already..

anyways, you wanted SD! results; here they are:

-WWE Open.

-Teddy Long was in the ring, alone, as the show opened. He said Mr. McMahon put him in charge tonight since Vickie Guerrero was injured at the Royal Rumble. A video package aired showing highlights of the Rey vs. Edge match. Teddy said at No Way Out, there will be a new #1 contender: The winner of an Elimination Chamber match. Two on one show? That may be overkill. The participants: Batista, Great Khali, Finlay, Undertaker, MVP, Big Daddy V. Conspicuous by his absence: C.M Punk. The winner will face the champ at WrestleMania, while Rey will get a re-match with Edge at No Way Out. Edge ran down to the ring and grabbed a mic. Edge said he’d rather fight Khali or V than Rey. Teddy wasn’t having that suggestion, so Edge was left to make annoyed faces.

[Commercial Break]

1- RIC FLAIR vs. MVP, CAREER THREATENING MATCH

I’m going to guess Mr. Kennedy interferes to cost MVP the match, as HE wants to be the one to cost Flair his career. Hip-toss by Naitch, who did some strutting. Roll-up by MVP for two. Flair nailed some chops in the corner, but got back-dropped out of the corner. MVP hit a running kick for two. MVP worked the left arm of Flair, then got a backslide for a near-fall. Double-underhook suplex for two. Boy, Flair’s not even disguising himself as he calls the match. Big kick missed by MVP and Flair took out the leg. MVP countered the figure-four, but once Flair got under the ropes, MVP wouldn’t let go at referee Mickie Henson’s five-count, drawing the DQ.

WINNER: Flair, at 6:16. Decent match, but Flair looks a half-step behind now, and has for some time.

-MVP wrapped Flair’s leg around the ringpost and battered him after the match. He stuck Flair’s leg between the ring steps and the apron, the kicked the steps into his leg. After replays of that, Flair limped to the back with the assistance of the trainers.

[Commercial Break]

-Jonathon Coachman previewed the Raw Chamber match.

-Flair was getting worked on by the trainers backstage.

-Chuck Palumbo came out to the ring to speak. He said Jamie Noble stuck his nose where it didn’t belong and said it felt fantastic beating him up last week. He said what happened to Michelle was an accident. Cole said she suffered whiplash and a concussion. Palumbo said this stuff was all Noble’s fault and said he was fined $10,000 by WWE for hitting a ref. I like that, and they should emphasize that more often. They used to mention it back in the early 90s, but got away from it. It shows that there is consequence for hitting an official, as there should be. Chuck implored Michelle to come to the ring, as he wanted to apologize. She finally did. Chuck apologized but Michelle didn’t believe him. She slapped him and Chuck ran at her, but stopped short of laying a hand on her. Chuck then showed his true colors, blaming her for everything that has happened. He said Noble would pay for Michelle slapping him. I’m surprised WWE gave Chuck this much mic time. He was just okay, though.

[Commercial Break]

2- REY MYSTERIO & CM PUNK vs. CHAVO GUERRERO & EDGE

Punk came to the ring wearing a Mysterio t-shirt. After some back-and-forth action, Punk missed a knee charge in the corner, and flew over the top and to the outside. They then cut to break.

[Commercial Break]

Edge had Punk on the mat in a bear-hug upon return. Punk came back with an enziguiri on Chavo. Both men made tags and Rey came in and cleaned house. Springboard moonsault got two. Rey went to springboard off the apron, but Edge dropkicked him out. Chavo came in and worked Rey’s knee. The heels kept Rey in their half of the ring. Rey came back, taking on both heels. He finally tagged Punk, who was a house of fire. Springboard cross-body from Punk on Chavo for two. Very sloppy finishing sequence saw Punk avoid a spear by jumping in the air, but didn’t land on his feet. Then Edge had to stand and stare at Rey, waiting for Mysterio to springboard in and hit him with a hurricanrana to set up for the 619. Both heels were set up for it but Edge moved- after Rey nailed Chavo with it, he jumped onto Edge on the outside. Punk hit the Go To Sleep on Chavo for the win.

WINNERS: Punk and Rey at 11:09.

-Still to come, Big Daddy V & Mark Henry face the Brothers of Destruction, Kane & Undertaker.

[Commercial Break]

-Backstage, Finlay and Mr. McMahon were talking. Vince was not happy with what Finlay did at the Rumble and said there is no such thing as loyalty.

2- FINLAY & HORNSWOGGLE vs. DEUCE ‘N DOMINO

The deconstruction of the former tag champs continues. Now they’re saying Finlay was DQ’d from the Rumble for entering before it was his time. After some brief offense, Finlay went outside to yell at Cherry for trying to trip him up. Hornswoggle came from behind and lifted up her skirt, then got on his hands and knees as she fell backward over him. Finlay took out both greasers and hit the Celtic Cross on Domino, then Hornswoggle got the pin with the Tadpole Splash.

WINNERS: Finlay & Hornswoggle at 1:49.

The winners danced in the ring after the match.

[Commercial Break]

-The Raw Rebound aired.

-The 2007 Diva Search winner, Eve Torres, was in the ring, and she introduced Batista. I miss Anastacia Rose. Eve asked Batista his thoughts on the Chamber match. Batista first welcomed Eve to the #1 sports-entertainment show, and punctuated his proclamation with, “that’s right, I said it.” Batista said he didn’t do as well as he thought he would in the Rumble, then he put over Cena and Triple H. Batista said he would walk out of No Way Out and walk into WrestleMania to re-claim his title. Your standard short Batista interview.

[Commercial Break]

-In a pre-taped vignette, Jesse said that Festus has been cured and next week, Jesse & Festus would be back, better than ever.

4- CURT HAWKINS & ZACK RYDER vs. SHANNON MOORE & JIMMY WANG YANG

Yang was snap-mared, but landed on his feet. He got some offense in and tagged Moore. A blind tag was made and Yang was clotheslined hard from behind. Hawkins & Ryder slowed the pace down by keeping Yang grounded. Ryder went for a cross-body off the top, but I think he thought Yang was going to do something as he seemed to land on his feet and just fall into Yang. A few moves later, he went for the same thing, but this time, Yang caught him in an atomic drop. I think that’s what he thought the first time around. Moore came in and missed a corkscrew moonsault. Hawkins finished things with a version of Goldust’s Curtain Call.

WINNERS: Hawkins & Ryder at 6:25.

-Kane & Undertaker vs. Henry & V is coming up next!

[Commercial Break]

-All four wrestlers in the main event were introduced….the match starts after the break.

[Commercial Break]

5- KANE & UNDERTAKER VS. MARK HENRY & BIG DADDY V

Match was joined in progress with Kane and Henry as the legal men. Kane came off the ropes and jumped onto Henry, who fell backward. Not sure if Henry was supposed to catch him or not, but it was ugly. Taker tagged in and Cole wasted no time getting out his “best pure striker in sports-entertainment history” line. Taker gave Henry a running boot to the face. Kane came back in and he got splashed in the corner. Big Daddy V came in for the first time and fought off Kane’s uppercuts. Kane fought back himself and tagged Taker. After a few minutes of action, Kane regained the advantage and hit a clothesline off the top onto Henry. A distraction by Matt Striker led to Henry taking over on offense. On the outside, V slammed Kane’s head off the announce table, and Henry did the same. V squashed Kane with a running splash in the corner. Henry then put The Big Red Machine in a bear-hug. Kane came back with a middle-rope clothesline on Henry and a tag to the Dead Man. Taker laid the wood to Henry and hit Old School and a DDT. V broke up the pin attempt though, and was given a double chokeslam for his troubles. Henry was chokeslammed as well and Taker locked in that mysterious finisher that felled V last week. Henry tapped and began coughing up blood. It kind of looks like a choke-hold, actually.

WINNERS: Undertaker & Kane, 10:42 shown.

Not really. A couple of botched moves happened during the Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder tag team match. And then again in the The Brother's of Destruction Vs. Big Daddy V & Mark Henry main event. That left me saying, what the f*ck happened? confused.gif

I don't know about anyone else, but I miss the old Shannon Moore. With the mohawk and the piercings, although I hated the excess scene makeup. This new Shannon seems to just job to everyone.

Edit - Just going along with the poll on WWE.COM, which chamber are you most looking forward to? Smackdown's or RAW's?

RAW.

RAW SPOILERS (02/11/08):

Credit - WrestlingNewsWorld.com

RAW opens with Hornswoggle coming to the ring.

[-] Mr. McMahon vs. Hornswoggle

Hornswoggle defeats Mr. McMahon via pinfall.

McMahon calls Finlay a coward which prompts Finlay to hit him with the Shillelagh. Hornswoggle nails a tadpole splash off of the top rope onto McMahon, he gets the pinfall.

After the match, they show a backstage segment between Mr. McMahon and William Regal. McMahon tells Regal to get some dismissal papers ready as he is going to fire Finlay for interfering.

[-] JBL vs. Chris Jericho.

Chris Jericho defeated JBL via pinfall.

Jericho hit his Code Breaker finisher and got the win clean.

After the match, Umaga comes out and gives them both a Samoan Spike.

They show another backstage segment with Mr. McMahon and William Regal. McMahon says that he has decided against firing Finlay. Instead, he is going to wrestle Hornswoggle in cage on next week's edition of RAW. Note: This will be the RAW after No Way Out.

[-] Brian Kendrick vs. Paul Burchill

Before the next match, the incest angle debuts on television between Katie Lea and Paul Burchill. Burchill basically says that whatever Katie wants, Katie gets.

Paul Burchill defeated Brian Kendrick via pinfall.

Burchill wins with what was thought to be his finisher. According to our correspondent Danny, it looked like an inverted swinging neckbreaker.

[-] WWE Champion Randy Orton comes out next in street clothes to watch John Cena vs. Mark Henry which is up next.

John Cena defeats Mark Henry.

After the match, John Cena lashes out at WWE Champion Randy Orton who is sitting with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler at the announcer's table. Cena tells Orton that he is 100% healthy.

[-] Mr. Kennedy comes out to ringside wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Flair comes out later in the segment wearing a tuxedo. Flair tells Kennedy that he will not forfeit their upcoming match at No Way Out. The segment ends with Kennedy kicking Flair in the knee in which Flair sells. According to our correspondent, it looks like a place where a commercial break will be inserted.

[-] The next match is Melina vs Maria in a singles match.

Melina is accompanied to the ring by Jillian Hall while Santino Marella is with Maria.

Melina defeated Maria via pinfall.

Jillian Hall kissed Santino, distracting Maria. While Maria was not paying attention, Melina rolled her up for the three count.

After the match Santino gets on the mic and tells Maria that she must choose - it's either Playboy or Santino. He says she has one week decide and gives her a kiss.

[-] Shawn Michaels vs. Jeff Hardy is up next.

Jeff Hardy defeated Shawn Michaels via pinfall.

This match was given a lot of time. Lots of near falls as Michaels hit his elbow drop twice. Both attempted finishers (Sweet Chin Music & Twist of Fate respectively) but missed. Michaels locked an inverted Figure Four on Hardy but he got to the ropes. Eventually Hardy is able to hit Twist of Fate and a Swanton Bomb on Michaels. Hardy was able to get the three count.

Taping Notes:

- In somewhat of a spoiler, Triple H did not work tonight’s double RAW tapings. We still do not have any details as to The Game’s whereabouts but all indications are that he was not at the event. It will be interesting to see how WWE plans to build him up for the Elimination Chamber at No Way Out without him appearing on RAW before the pay-per-view.

- WWE will tape the remaining two weeks of programming leading up to No Way Out tomorrow and Wednesday. The company will tape this week’s edition of SmackDown as well as broadcast this week’s edition of ECW from the American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas tomorrow night. They will then tape the following week’s edition of SmackDown and ECW from the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas on Wednesday night.

--------------------------------------------

Candice Michelle's WWE-hyped GoDaddy.com Super Bowl commercial was apparently axed. The only GoDaddy.com commercial to air during the Super Bowl tonight was one on IndyCar racer Danica Patrick.

WWE will do a rare double RAW taping tonight from Austin, Texas. From what I understand, the company will tape the 2/11 RAW first and will go live on the USA Network for tonight’s episode. That could change as we have heard otherwise, but that was the plan as of this weekend.

WWE.com has a new sub site now online to celebrate Black History Month. They are currently profiling WWE Hall of Famer Junk Yard Dog and the first African-American World Heavyweight Champion Ron Simmons. You can check it out at WWE.com.

The new Raw anniversary CD dropped to #91 on the latest Billboard chart. The disc has sold 90,000 units excluding Wal-Mart sales.

Reader Nate sent word that former WWE diva Stacy Keibler was at Playboy’s pre-Super Bowl party on Saturday in Phoenix, Arizona.

Former WWE wrestler Nathan Jones is in talks with WWE officials about a possible return to the company. Jones started with WWE back in 2003 and was in line for a huge push. After management soured on his horrible in-ring work, he was taken off television for months and was eventually sent to OVW to work on his skills. He was brought back to the main roster later in the year and quit the company a month later for a number of reasosn. Since leaving WWE in 2003, he's only worked a handful of wrestling matches, instead choosing to concentrate on his acting career. Jones worked with WWE Films in 2006, with a small role in Stone Cold Steve Austin's movie The Condemned.

The official theme song for WWE's upcoming No Way Out PPV is “Fake It” by Seether. The song is off the album "Finding Beauty in Negative Spaces".

- WWE is no longer allowing fans to use cell phones to take photographs or videos at live shows.

- TNA is looking at 3/27 as the possible date for the first ever live broadcast of iMPACT!. TNA is hoping to draw in some WWE fans to the tapings who will be in town for Wrestlemania.

- TNA iMPACT! the video game is now slated for a 6/2 release. The PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game will retail for $59.99, the Wii version for $49.99 and the PS2 version for $39.99.

- Former WWE champion John Cena is moving to New Orleans, LA and will be based there until the filming of "12 Rounds" is completed.

- Before his fight on Saturday, Vince McMahon gave Brock Lesnar a good-luck phone call, reports the Las Vegas Sun. Despite his defeat, Lesnar has no plans to bail on his MMA career like some may think. "I'm here for as long as I can fight here. This was not a one-shot deal," said Lesnar.

- Amazon.com has the cover art for the Royal Rumble 2008 DVD. They photoshopped some action shots of John Cena, Undertaker, Triple H and Shawn Michaels on to the original promotional poster

I haven't watched SD in over a year now. Just lost interest in it.

Heard a lot of talk that this Royal Rumble sucked badly. I saw the botches on Youtube as well.

Hey, I also heard that Bobby Lasheley quit? Is this true? And if so, right before Wrestlemania?

Yes, this is true. Seems like something behind the scenes bugged him.

In January 2008, on the forum of his official website, Lashley announced that he had left WWE. He clarified his comments by contacting Ryan Gray of the WrestlingNewsWorld website, claiming that he did not want to leave WWE, but had to due to circumstances beyond his control. He also stated that he was now training for a career in Mixed Martial Arts. WWE announced Lashley's release on February 4, 2008.

You can bet he's been contacted by TNA on more than one occasion. They've got that knack for picking up fallen WWE stars, like a certain 1990s competition did.

Actually, everything leading up to the end of the Rumble match was good. I suggest you go watch the two World Title matches.

Same here.

I'm tired of him being a babyface. Thats not his style and it doesn't fit him.

Although I must say even though he might turn into a heel he's still going to be cheered from the fans.

- There is a rumor making its way around the Internet that Stephanie McMahon is pregnant again with her second child. I have not been able to confirm the story but I was told that this was not Triple H’s family emergency that caused him to miss the RAW tapings in Austin, Texas this past Monday night. According to the rumor, Stephanie is approximately four weeks pregnant, but that has not been confirmed

Dr. Bennett Omalu told them, "Benoit's brain looked like the brain of an individual suffering from a specific type of dementia normally seen in people in their 80s or 90s. We don't think it (the murders) was steroid rage. We think it's a different syndrome."

- AnchorWeb.org's Haunted America takes a look at the Kemper Arena in their most recent article. They are saying that in recent years, there have been multiple reports of sightings of (the ghost of) Owen Hart, who in May 1999, fell nearly 80 feet to his death after he unintentionally triggered an early release from the cable he was being lowered into the ring from. Regarding Owen, they wrote: "Employees have claimed to have seen him in the rafters wearing the costume he was wearing for his gimmick as well as the cable before he began the descent. There have also been reports of flickering lights and other power sources that seem to go on and off in some areas of the arena."

I don't mean to go off-topic in the Wrestling discussion, but was all that ^ [above me] really necessary? It takes up a sh*t load of room, and if people wanted to read results and spoilers they'd go to news sites. I just think it's annoying having to scroll down 2,000 lines of results is all.

And I think that maybe HHH could be the new StoneCold character, you know...

Kind of a heel, but also not... Just really really cool...

Michael Hayes is pushing hard for Triple H to win the Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out and go on to face John Cena at Wrestlemania. This would include John Cena beating Randy Orton for the title and a heel turn for Triple H in the near future.

If this is true then it'll be a WrestleMania 22 Rematch. I hope this time around they let Trips takes the title away from SuperCena.

Edit - Not to go on a rant, but if Cena does win the Title at No Way Out, and goes on to WM, it'll be 4 Years in a row that he has headlined the main event.

Which is bullsh*t. Austin never headlined that many, and Austin was an even bigger star. You never heard any boos with Austin. Cena, half of the crowd is booing him, yet they still push him to the main event. They should know that they're pissing off old-school fans.

I think they'll let Cena win the WrestleMania match. He may have critics, but f*ck, he's popular too. He's entertainment material and that's what WWE is all about - Sports Entertainement.

If he wasn't, they wouldn't have let him hold onto the title for an year. Also, they didn't let Cena lose the title. They made him forfeit it.
