Just looked at some gameplay, last-gen obviously but I'm definitely getting worried especially because most of the wrestlers are outdated from what I saw so far.. hopefully 2K starts showing off the current-gen version some more or I'll be leaning towards a different game on that busy day of 11/18

I think whats bullsh*t about most wrestling games is that they make you pay for wrestlers who aren't even relevent like mid carsers & jobbers. There should always be a roster update & another thing is recycling the same stuff over & over again that we have to pay for.

Does anyone know is story design mode & create an arena are still in this game?

I haven't played WWE games in a while. I personally think they've sucked since Shut Your Mouth.

Are they seriously charging players in order to have Paige in-game? Or you need a season pass or some sh*t?

Surely that's not much different to charging FIFA fans in order to have Clint Dempsey or Tim Howard in-game? Or have I completely missed something.

Yeah. That's the way it is, they're really going all out in trying to get people to give them more money. If I didn't know better I would think this is EA making the game and not 2K. I think the game has a 63 character roster, which compared to last year's 103 characters is absolutely pathetic. I could understand a few less because of the way they're scanning the wrestler now to make new character models for current gen, but having 40 less wrestlers to play as is a huge blow to the roster. 2K better hit it out of the park with the gameplay of the current gen version, or this game is going to be a really bad start to their WWE2k franchise. (Keeping in mind this is the first full WWE game completely developed under 2K since THQ went under.)

Raw is like one of those shows that jumped the shark and should be cancelled soon after but the only problem is with Raw and the WWE is that they jumped the shark YEARS AGO! YEARS!

Also, who wants their Cena workout gear?!

AGAIN? This man is made a sandpaper, rough & tough as they come but tears with just enough force. He might have to look into retirement if his body keeps breaking down this much.

This is really his first major injury since he's started wrestling. So this is just really an unlucky and a bad turn of events for him. Hopefully he'll be able to bounce back from all this sh*t that's been happening to him.

@shenmue yea but he needs another surgery after another one, i don't want him to be done and want him to return badly especially with how terrible the main event picture has been, i just don't want him to be like Edge or worse with an injury as bad as a neck. The WWE just desperately needs main eventers at this point.

WWE need Main Eventers... they already have them in Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler, Bray Wyatt and Damien Mizdow, with Big E and Rusev bringing up the rear, they are all ready to make that jump, add into that mix the old guard of Big Show, Sheamus and Mark Henry (who should have had that belt at least once by now). The sad thing is they aren't pulling that trigger as they're scared to rock the applecart due in part to the financial state they're in right now, which is down to some dipsh*t vastly over estimating the Network buy-rates... business n00b.

I'm thinking the new "surgery" is a bit of work as they've not really advertised it elsewhere, granted it's being mentioned on Smackdown this week and that hasn't aired yet (and no Billy McCorndog, I'm not spoilering that), but before they've put it on WWE.com and have also made announcements through other channels, which makes me think it's a work in order to add the surprise at Survivor Series.

Waaay to early for Reigns, Royal Rumble is more likely for Reigns to return at, an incarcerated hernia is a slow one to return from.

You may look at them as main eventers but the WWE doesn't and you can thank VKM & that butt kissing assh*le Cena for it. As soon as one of those guys gets hot, they gotta feed them to Cena and make em look weak. Even when Cmpunk was champ guess who always had the main event spot. I along with most are TIRED of the WWE playing it safe and not taking risks which made them successful in the attitude era. I believe that these guys WILL be main eventers but as long as Cena is in the WWE, these guys wil pretty much be stuck in mid card purgatory. Edited by BlackAce23

You can't blame Cena for it, he does what he's told, whether he wants to bury every guy put in front of him is a totally different question but seeing how he said on Stone Colds podcast WWE isn't being up the young guys up the right way way, makes me think he hates burying talent

He's WAY too profittable to be fired & he's nearing the end and has done it all and these guys need to get over because think if something happens to him tomorrow and i wish no harm on anyone no matter how much i dislike someone, then they are screwed because they are too stubborn to build the guys that they have to Cena's level. Didn't HBK & Stond Cold go against Vince back in the day sometimes and he never fired them, if anything they would make something work even if they didn't see eye to eye everytime.

Tis true, Cena recently has been noted as saying even in promos on Raw that can see the future in people like Daniel Bryan and more recently Dean Ambrose, and these wouldn't have been scripted either as Cena has that "ad lib" status for his mic work. The main problem is Vince, as he continually books Cena to win, which given he's a face and Vince is of that old school mentality of the face always wins in the end, which granted has and always be the staple of professional wrestling, this is an issue.

The other problem with this is, looking from a psychological point of view, although there is no competition for WWE as a wrestling promotion, there is competition from Hollywood, although Cena's exploits on film so far have been mediocre, so was Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson when he first started treading the boards, so Vince will subconsciously want to try and keep Cena happy at the top with title wins etc so as to try and keep him as long as possible, because love him or hate him, he brings in a sh*t load of cash to the company through merchandise and drawing power from the kids and "The Wholesome Family". If that cash cow was to disappear then Vince would start to panic and the more importantly since WWE are a public company the investors will panic... and investors are dumb and dangerous.

I think there is too much reading into that, I'm fairly confident they are 'briefcasing' him, by that they are building him like they do with most MITB holders before a cash in, that is make them look weak and as if they are jobbing to everyone, to make the cash in more surprising.

Although he doesn't hold the case, they are behind Cesaro and since there are rumours that they want to get the title of Lesnar soon (yeah probably by way of Cena, let the hate flow), as they would want to free up the title for regular appearing talent. This would free up Lesnar for Cesaro to feud with and could lead to a face turn and therefore boost him up the card more to fill the face gap they've got right now, the back story would be through Heyman's loyalties

Is the wwe network now just 9.99 without a six month commitment, or is that a bonus for people that were subscribed early on. I just got an email saying my subscription is only 9.99 without a commitment

Yeah there's no commitment past the month you pay for now. Also, you can get November for free which might be worth it just for S.Series.

Way better rename than I expected.

As for the whole Cena thing, Cena's just Vince's number one tool for burying and killing the momentum of talents he isn't a huge fan of that he wants the fans to stop cheering for and caring about so much. I doubt Cena's turning down any of these wins, title reigns or asking to be dialed back or turned heel, but on the other hand I doubt he's also running around demanding to be put over on all these young wrestlers. He's just McMahon's "weapon of mass destruction". At this point due to the lack of competition, I doubt Vince cares to take a chance and potentially cater to a larger audience than the one Cena does, he's fine with leaving money on the table and not catering to the older fans while still getting money hand over fist from the parents of Cena's 5 year old fans. If they were to create a megastar that appeals to a wider, more diverse and valuable audience they could go back to making that Attitude Era type of money through merch sales, TV deals and PPV buyrates/Network subscriptions. However, if the guy they tried to push didn't work out and fans got tired of him, or he left to go to Hollywood (Let's be honest, Cena's awful acting skills makes him a surefire bet to stay in WWE until his ability to wrestle, take bumps, etc is gone), they'd be in some deep sh*t. Not to mention, as Crokey said, investors are fickle and will jump off the WWE at a moment's notice, they no longer have the luxury of not having to worry about investors losing their sh*t like they did 20-15 years ago when they were still a private company. They're not pushing anyone new out of fear and due to Vince McMahon's old school mentality of only having one top guy that seldom ever loses and that no one who's under 250 lbs can make it big in the industry. Luckily this is why Triple H taking over sometime soon makes the WWE's future look very bright, him being a young guy, he understands more what a modern crowd would want and seems to be far more in touch with reality and what sells in today's entertainment industry than Vince does at this point.
