Monday was not a fair judgement of how ratings for RAW will be now. Next week we shall see.

I expect a spike seeing as HBK is back.

Yeah, should definitely get a boost to help make up for Cena's absence, since he was pulling in a lot of ratings.

That was the same thing with HHH, he looked so much different, but he's a beefcake now. Probably not used to seeing him since his absence.

News:

Lilian Garcia proposed a storyline recently where people would confuse her with Jillian Hall. Apparently she wants to be involved in a storyline to help promote her new album. In the past, Lilian has been against getting involved in storylines. When WWE did the Viscera/Lilian love angle, she put up such a fuss that WWE canceled the angle altogether. The way the current angle would go is that after Jillian's name had been screwed up enough times on RAW, she would eventually flip out on Lilian. Lilian proposed that this would lead up to a Battle of the Bands/American Idol type angle. RAW writer Kevin Dunn loved the idea and had been pushing for it to happen. After looking at what went down on RAW this past Monday, it looks the angle is going to happen.

While Vince wasn't pleased with Cena going down, he felt like it was an opportunity to give Orton a monster push as he feels Orton is a red hot heel right now. There was a suggestion that Kennedy should be given a huge push, but Vince nixed it in favor of Orton. The idea is to keep putting the major heat on him for the neat future but to continue to build RAW around Triple H as he will be feuding with Kennedy, Vince, Orton and others.

-- RAW writer Brian Gewirtz made a push to get Rey Mysterio on RAW when Cena went down, there would be many fresh opponents for Rey on the RAW brand. There has been talk of moving Rey over to RAW for some time now, but the talks have picked up as of late. The idea is still up in the air, but the feeling is taking him off SmackDown would hurt the brand because SmackDown's ratings are big with kids and Hispanics and Mysterio is big with both of those demographics.

-- There was already a push last Tuesday to put pressure on Shawn Michaels to return. Several weeks back, Shawn had been telling people that he was happy at home and was in no rush to return to action. At that point, there were no plans to bring HBK back until November but that ended up changing as he returned to RAW this Monday and is the main pick in the Cyber Sunday main event. It's believed Shawn will go on to face Orton at the PPV, but don't look for him to wrestle on RAW this Monday.

-- Sources say Vince McMahon went nuts the other day after RAW writer Brian Gewirtz told him Roddy Piper had said he would be one of the choices for Guest Referee in a RAW brand match at Cyber Sunday, at a wrestling convention over the weekend. Vince immediately nixed Piper from the match and then said they wouldn't be using him as an option in the foreseeable future. What is odd about this is there were commercials airing for Cyber Sunday in Canada advertising Piper, Foley and Austin as the choices. It appears Piper may have got nixed for no reason at all. The current commercial lists Austin, Foley and JBL as the choices.

Conflict backstage in TNA is said to have grown significantly between Jeff Jarrett and Kurt Angle over the past week. Both want to get into Dixie Carter’s ear to have a major impact on what goes on in the company. Jarrett’s allies, most notably B.G. James, are going around trying to convince other wrestlers in the company to take sides.

Jarrett has a few people who are loyal to him, like B.G. James, Jeremy Borash, Abyss, Dutch Mantel, and others, but most want to pick the side they think wins at the end. As far as both booking and long-term power, the situation is described as The Angle family and Vince Russo against Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantel.

The end result of the situation is hard to predict. There is no way they will cut Kurt Angle or remove him from the top (which is generally what would happen in a situation like this). Jeff Jarrett on the other hand is a majority owner in the company and has steered the ship since day one.

WWE were confiscating Chris Jericho related signs at WWE No Mercy this past weekend but it appears they also planted Jericho signs in the crowd.

The Condemned was #4 in rentals this week bringing in $3.61 million making the total rental sales at $7.76 million in two weeks.

It was announced last night on ECW on Sci Fi that the ECW Championship match for this month’s WWE Cyber Sunday PPV will be announced today at noon ET. Expect John Morrison to have some involvement in the match with him returning on ECW last night. Only one match has been officialy announced by WWE which is the WWE Championship match featuring Randy Orton vs. the fans choice of Jeff Hardy or Mr. Kennedy or Shawn Michaels.

World Wrestling Entertainment has announced another match for this month’s WWE Cyber Sunday PPV. CM Punk will be defending his ECW Championship against the fans choice of Big Daddy V or The Miz or John Morrison.

According to a report, after the ECW tapings the WWE ring crew took down the ECW ropes and entrance way. They put the Smackdown ropes and apron back on, while JBL and Michael Cole returned to the announce table along with Batista to re-shoot the final segment for Smackdown this week. During the first taping, the main event between Rey Mysterio and Finlay ended in a No Contest which saw The Undertaker appear laying out both and motioning to Batista that he wanted the World Title. This time around, the WWE didn't have Undertaker come out and lay out both Mysterio and Finlay as it appeared the original finish was what had to be done again between both guys. It should be noted that a majority of the crowd had left by this point, while others left during the ECW main event.

Eliminated Diva Search contestant Jessica Hatch will be on Mancow's radio show in the morning tomorrow. The show airs nationwide on different radio markets.

You may remember a couple of weeks ago that a new Diva debuted on Smackdown and took out Torrie Wilson. Reports suggest she's already done with the company.

Krissy Vaine and another development talent who she's involved with, Ryan O'Reilly have both asked for their releases citing the grueling schedule and the fact that the two will now have to work apart.

Ryan O'Reilly signed with WWE in August 2005 and nearly made it to the main ECW roster.

It's odd that both were close to making it and have decided to give up.

We're told that WWE is going to try to do a Jackass angle at the Royal Rumble in January. They tried it at SmmerSlam and then got fed up with Steve-O and axed it. Well, why not try it again huh?

JBL will be appearing at an American Freedom Festival concert headlined by country star Martina McBride.

There is likely more to the releases of Krissy Vaine and Ryan O'Reilly. Many were shocked and don't believe it has to do with one working RAW and the other SD!.

As noted earlier today here on the site, Terry Taylor sent several unhappy TNA wrestlers letters informing them that they may leave the promotion if they wish. We'll see if anyone takes that offer or if they keep bitching without doing anything.

Prior to returning to Raw this week, Shawn Michaels was telling friends that he was burned out on the road, and enjoying life at home. He also said he'd only return with a limited schedule. This was before John Cena's injury occurred. Triple H had been basically begging for him to return ASAP. These older stars aren't going to be around to wrestle matches that much longer so they best get working on building new stars.

On the WWE Shopzone website, it says they are not releasing the Batista book until 10/16, but I ordered the book about a week or a week and a half ago, using standard shipping, and I received the book today, 6 days early.

Speaking of ECW regulars, Elijah Burke missed the Springfield, IL house show because he drove to Springfield, MO. Oops. As a result, Burke was not paid for his no show.

John Morrison sat out 28 days as part of his 30-day suspension. He worked the 9/1 show, and then returned at the 9/29 house show in Peoria.

Former Spirit Squad member Johnny Jeter is heading to ECW as a regular.

Here are some details regarding The Sandman's release from WWE on September 11.

When they were on tour in South Africa in early September, he got drunk with some of the wrestlers before a flight. Road agent Ricky Steamboat was sitting in front of a wasted Sandman. Sandman put an unlit cigarette in his mouth and Steamboat turned around to tell him that you can't smoke on an airplane. Sandman scoffed back at Steamboat by saying that the cigarette wasn't lit and that he didn't have a lighter on him anyways. It was simply in his mouth for the 'taste'. Ahh, addictions.

Ayways, on one of the shows on the tour, due to time constraints, some wrestlers were pulled from the show, including Sandman. Sandman thought it was Steamboat's way of getting back at him. He then called Johnny Ace asking for his release from World Wrestling Entertainment. A few days later on September 11, Ace gave him his release from the company.

Prior to his release from the company, McMahon wanted to turn him heel and give him a significant run on Raw because the brand is desperately lacking heels. McMahon was a big fan of The Sandman's unique character, hence his promotion from ECW to Raw back in June.

During last week's TNA conference call featuring President Dixie Carter, Ross Forman plugged Kurt Angle's scheduled interview with the Between the Ropes radio show in Orlando that evening. When the story broke regarding Angle's DUI arrest, Angle's lawyer advised Angle not to do the interview. Between the Ropes wasn't informed that Angle would not be on the show until 20 minutes after the program started. On a side note, Carter was scheduled to do a fifteen conference call with the media, but the teleconference ended early due to a lack of questions being asked.

Kevin Nash's contract with TNA Wrestling has expired. He was last seen on TNA television as Kurt Angle's therapist. Both Nash and TNA are in the process of negotiating a new deal. Vince Russo want Nash to return to the ring. Nash is healthy and open to wrestling again, but he told TNA he'll need a more lucrative contract if they want him to wrestle. Nash has suggested TNA bring in Scott Hall and Sean Waltman.

Speaking of Hall and Nash, they reunited last week at an indy show in Little Rock, Arkansas. The Outsiders defeated the team of Brian Christopher and Koko B. Ware. Scott Hall has dropped a lot of weight and is said to be doing well.

I have just learned that Teddy Hart was fired earlier this afternoon. Hart had been under a developmental deal, and wrestling both in Tampa and Louisville, and was slated to be apart of the New Hart Foundation on WWE television.

To update you guys on an earlier report, the word going around today is that Teddy Hart was indeed by let go by World Wrestling Entertainment. Details regarding his departure haven't come out yet. I hope to have them later.

Furthermore, due to Hart's departure from the company, it appears as though that the planned New Generation Hart Foundation angle has been scrapped as well.

As late as last week, plans were in place for Hart, Nattie Neidhart, Harry Smith and Ted DiBiase Jr. to debut in WWE next month as the new Hart Foundation. They were going to work some house shows next month, and more than likely be called up to the main roster. What with Hart's departure, it looks like it's back to the drawing board for Neidhart, Smith and DiBiase Jr.

I had been hearing that the New Hart Foundation was booked for the 11/6 Smackdown television taping in Bakersfield, CA. That appears to be off.

A former ECW World Heavyweight Champion is now working at a Target department store, and no, it's not Justin Credible. In a brief commentary on the official website of Shane Douglas, Douglas notes that he is currently in the manager training program at a Target store in New Brighton, PA. He's says that he misses performing in front of wrestling fans, but that he doesn't miss the wrestling "business." He also takes aim at two Pro Wrestling Torch writers for reporting that he was released from TNA earlier in the year for having a relapse. Douglas then says, "Sorry to say but the "sad" and "boring" truth is that I, Troy Martin, have had no relapse or taken any kind of drug or pill since my rehab last year."

Dawn Marie will be making appearances three days in a row from 11/16 through 11/18 at the Big Apple Con at Penn Plaza Station in New York City.

The Sandman will be making his debut in the EWF on Saturday December 15, 2007. Sandman will be available for autographs & polaroids prior to the EWF event that evening and during intermission. The show will take place at the EWF Arena on 3400 S. Adams in Marion, IN. For more information visit the EWF online at www.ewfarena.com.

Dr. Phil Astin, the doctor for Chris Benoit that has been charged with illegally distributing medication to several patients, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy on October 1. Astin is still expected face additional charges as the investigation continues into his medical records.

Just thought I'd inform you that Lilian Garcia appeared at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum to sing the American national anthem before the New York Islanders and New York Rangers hockey game (on Wednesday night).

I went to my local civic center website and on November 27th Smackdown/ECW will be here and the announced main event for the night is Batista & Rey Mysterio vs. Finlay and The Great Khali.

A WWE Championship "Winged Eagle" replica was on the CBS show, "How I Met Your Mother." It was used as a title belt for when a guy has an experience with two females at the same time. It was called the "Tricycle Championship Belt."

Last night's episode of TMZ featured all kinds of wrestling. There was a segment on Joanie Laurer being at the Reality Awards last week. They aired a clip of her stating that she had to leave early because she has fans waiting for her in Virginia. The voice-over said "And that's how far she has to go to see them." Then a segment was played on Brooke Hogan at the same show and changing clothes. Apparently they thought the dresses she picked were ugly. I have no opinion because her hair was very distracting. She must use the same barber as Jeff Hardy because I swear there are a million colors in her hair. Finally, there was a segment on whether or not Kevin Federline will be a good father and there was a lot of footage from his WWE stint earlier this year.

- Details still are slim in the release yesterday of Teddy Hart, but word is the release stems from some sort of disagreement with WWE management. Most within the company didn't expect Hart to last this long anyway, because of his attitude.

- Dan sent the following: On the CBS show "How I Met Your Mother" the other night, they used an old WWF Championship belt in a segment where the guy is with two chicks at once. The belt is called the "Tricycle Championship" and you can clearly tell its an old WWF belt.

- New WWEshop.com releases include WWE bedroom suits and bed sets, Ruthless Aggression Series #29 sets and more.

- TNA continues to feature music from up and coming artists as rapper Filthee will have his song "Hold Up" highlight the video package for Team Pacman vs. Styles and Tomko at TNA's Bound For Glory this Sunday. Filthee tells TNA's website that he is a long time wrestling fan.

- TNA will be taping two more episodes of iMPACT in Orlando, FL this coming Monday and Tuesday night with all the fallout from the big Bound For Glory pay-per-view as well as the road to the November pay-per-view, Genesis. It'll be interesting to see if Pacman Jones continues to work with the company as he was telling people at the last set of iMPACT tapings that he would be finished with TNA after Bound For Glory.

Truly, history was made at No Mercy. But how will the history from Sunday night’s events affect the Superstars who will be in Detroit this week for Friday Night SmackDown?

While a new WWE Champion was crowned in Randy Orton, then Triple H…and then Randy Orton again, SmackDown’s Animal, Batista, defied colossal odds to retain his World Heavyweight Title in a Punjabi Prison Match against The Great Khali. The Animal no ly outraced the giant in escaping the hellish chamber of horrors, but will a new challenger prove unavoidable this week in Detroit? If so, has The Animal recovered enough from the Punjabi Prison to answer the challenge?

A conflict in styles made for a spectacular No Mercy contest between Rey Mysterio and Finlay Sunday night " until the Irishman feigned a severe injury, then brutalized the Master of the 619 while his guard was down. Clearly, this rivalry isn’t over " especially if SmackDown’s color commentator, JBL, continues to vocally stir up more bad feelings between the two Superstars. Either way, will the Irishman who loves to fight look for another opportunity at the 619 Superstar who dials up flight? Or will Mysterio show no compassion for Finlay after what transpired at No Mercy?

It’s disgustingly debatable as to whether MVP or Matt Hardy was the better man at No Mercy’s Chicago Deep Dish Pizza Competitive Eating Contest. It’s also bad enough that the WWE Tag Team Champions can no ly stomach each other. But how can they possibly digest the idea of facing Undertaker & Kane in a Tag Team Match on SmackDown? If neither Superstar’s constitution isn’t strong enough this Friday, the Brothers of Destruction will almost certainly see to it that MVP & Hardy will rest in pieces.

TNA Results:- X Division Champion “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal defeated Havok on the broadcast. During the bout, “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels watched on to prepare his title shot against Lethal this Sunday on Pay-Per-View.

- Kurt Angle explained why he stalked Sting’s son in California, claiming he wanted to get under Sting’s skin so he gets the best out of him this Sunday at Bound For Glory. Clearly, Karen Angle wasn’t happy with what her husband did. Sting promised he would get his revenge on Angle " but on his terms. At the end of the broadcast, Sting disguised himself as a member of the LAX’s Latino Nation and brutally attacked Angle!

- TNA World Tag Team Champions Team Pacman defeated Triple X after Pacman Jones “made it rain” to distract his opponents. Team Pacman face AJ Styles and Tomko for the gold this Sunday night.

- TNA newcomer Amazing Kong upset Gail Kim in her first TNA match while the other female combatants of the TNA women’s division watched on. Kong will compete in the gauntlet battle royal this Sunday to crown the first women’s champion.

- Christian Cage debuted his new talk-show segment, with his first guest being his Bound For Glory opponent, Samoa Joe. It eventually broke down into a brawl between both sides, with Matt Morgan coming out to neutralize AJ Styles while Cage took the opportunity to blindside Joe.

- In a preview of Sunday’s Monster’s Ball match, the team of Raven and Black Reign defeated Rhino and Abyss.

- In the main event, it was Kurt Angle and Team 3D defeating The Latin American Xchange and Junio Fatu when Angle beat Homicide with the Olympic Slam. Homicide was favoring his ankle during and after the match as a result of being place in Angle’s Ankle Lock submission

Mo' News:

The reason for CM Punk being squashed by Big Daddy V at No Mercy, in his hometown of Chicago may have something to do with the backstage incident with WWE legend Tony Atlas at the OVW show last week.

A number of people who have read Chris Jericho's new book are comparing it to Mick Foley's "Have a Nice Day" which is a pretty good comparison. A Lion's Tale is right at 440 pages and ends the day he debuted on RAW, so likely he's saving the rest of his career for another book once his days in the business come to an end.

The Major Brothers are getting horrible reviews from officials in OVW. Furthermore, "Dr. Death" Steve Williams and Robert Gibson, who work in trainer roles in OVW, recently offered them advice and the dynamic blonde duo responded like they had no idea who Williams & Gibson are. They also can't figure out why they should be listening to anything they say. Because of that, they have tons of heat obviously. Even though they've been on the main WWE roster since May, they still wrestle on the weekly OVW shows. The Major Brothers believe that they they shouldn't be there and that they are above being in developmental.

We've noted this before but Raw head writer Brian Gewirtz is in favor of Rey Mysterio being moved to the Raw roster.

There is not much more to report on WWE firing Teddy Hart other than it was apparently due to a disagreement between him and company management. The only real surprise in the situation is that he lasted as long as he did. As we have reported here several times, Hart was scheduled to be brought up to the main WWE roster next month.

The former personal physician of the late Chris Benoit, Dr. Phil Astin III, filed for bankruptcy yesterday. Astin went broke largely due to mounting legal bills following him after being indicted after the Benoit family tragedy.

WWE RAW ring announcer Lilian Garcia will be signing autographs at Best Buy on October 19th in Hialeah, Florida at 6 PM Eastern.

Academy Award winner and Hollywood superstar Nicolas Cage is currently in negotiations to star in a movie about the pro wrestling industry, currently titled "The Wrestler." Here's a synopsis of the project from the Entertainment Trade Journal: "The movie tells the story of Randy ''The Ram'' Robinson, a 1980s-era pro wrestler who has become a burnt-out shell of his former self. After he has a heart attack during a small-time match, a doctor tells him he could die if he fights again. He moves in with an aging stripper and takes a job at a deli, but then decides he can't pass"

Nicolas Cage will be taking the lead role in an independent drama titled "The Wrestler."

"The movie tells the story of Randy ''The Ram'' Robinson, a 1980s-era pro wrestler who has become a burnt-out shell of his former self. After he has a heart attack during a small-time match, a doctor tells him he could die if he fights again. He moves in with an aging stripper and takes a job at a deli, but then decides he can't pass up an opportunity to return to the ring and fight his old nemesis, even if it means risking his life."

Is this the movie to do wrestling justice? Or will it be a sleaze and cheesefest?

A new WWE backstage announcer debuts on this week's edition of SmackDown. She conducts a backstage interview with Rey Mysterio regarding Finlay. Her name is Anastacia Rose, though she simply goes under her first name on the show. Rose is a 24-year-old make-up artist/choreographer/dancer/lyricist from West Hollywood, CA that was a contestant on the CW's Pussycat Dolls Present: The Search for the Next Doll reality show earlier in the year. She finished in fifth place on the show. She was also a backup dancer for The Pussycat Dolls’ music video Dont Cha.

Jillian has posted up a new blog on her MySpace. She says that this has been a bad week for her. She also notes that she won't be on the entire European tour as they only need her for TV on Monday.

The following was issued on TNAwrestling.com: The biggest TNA “Fan Interaction” just got bigger, as the most talked about name in sports is set to come face to face with TNA fans. Adam “Pacman” Jones will join his “Team Pacman” partner Ron “The Truth” Killings at “Bound For Glory Fan InterAction” on Saturday, October 13 at the Busbee Center at Gwinnett Technical College (5150 Sugarloaf Parkway, Lawrenceville, Ga.). The addition of “Pacman” Jones to the “Fan InterAction” line up comes on the heels of the announcement by Midway Games that the first ever TNA video game, “TNA iMPACT!” will be featured in a world premiere sneak preview to kick off the event Saturday. More than 40 TNA stars will come together for over four hours to sign autographs, take pictures with fans and much more. Got something to say to the superstars of TNA? This is your chance to be heard. Scheduled to appear are: TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe, “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage, The Steiner Brothers, Abyss, Team 3D, “The Phenomenal" A.J. Styles, Triple X, Raven, X Division Champion “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal, Tomko, “Wildcat” Chris Harris, The Latin American Xchange (Homicide and Hernandez), “Cowboy” James Storm, Kaz, James Mitchell, “Showtime” Eric Young, Voodoo Kin Mafia (BG James and Kip James), Robert Roode, Ms. Brooks, Ron “The Truth” Killings, Lance Hoyt, “The Canadian Destroyer” Petey Williams, “The Guru” Sonjay Dutt, Black Reign, Gail Kim, Jackie Moore, Christy Hemme, SoCal Val and more! The talent lineup is subject to change without notice. Tickets are $50 at the door. Doors will open at 11 a.m. for ticket pickup and merchandise sales. The autograph signing will begin at 12 p.m. and end at 4 p.m.

Here is the scheduled card for TNA Bound For Glory this Sunday, October 14, live and only on Pay Per View from Atlanta, Georgia:

There is panic in the WWE locker room concerning the slumping RAW ratings. As most of you know by now, Monday’s edition of RAW which featured the return of Shawn Michaels only did a 2.8 cable rating. For those that do not remember, there was a glitch in the ratings a couple of months back that caused the RAW rating to report at a low 2.5, but that doesn’t seem to be the case with this week’s low rating.

To further add to the stress of the low ratings, WWE has not been on the best of terms with the USA Network lately. Bonnie Hammer, an executive for the USA Network and the person that spearheaded the movement to bring RAW back to USA from Spike TV, has been sending the WWE RAW Creative Team 10-20 suggestions on a regular basis. From what we have heard, Vince McMahon reads these ideas, passes them along to Stephanie, who gives them to Head RAW Creative Team member Brian Gewirtz. It is said that Gewirtz basically goes over all of them and buries them in front of the entire Creative Team. One of the reasons WWE has not considered a single idea from Hammer is because they are insecure about someone else’s ideas working better than what they came up with.

Perhaps the scariest thing out of all of this is that the three year deal that WWE signed with USA/NBC/Universal on April 4, 2005 comes due shortly after next year’s WrestleMania. While RAW has done well enough to prevent the USA Network from cancelling them (WWE has allowed USA to become the number-one ranked cable network and without them they’d lose that spot), they have not delivered the numbers that the USA Network expected when the deal was signed and those were upper 4’s and 5’s. The show has been performing in the mid to low 3’s and did in the high 2’s this past week.

Furthermore this gives WWE very little leverage for negotiations and may cause them to sign a deal worth significantly less than what they signed three years ago. With the company basically giving up on pay-per-view to be their single main revenue generator in favor of television rights and fees it could affect the bottom line. While not all negative, the future outlook is not positive.

On the Chicago Sun-Times’ web site, they have some quotes from Kurt Angle’s wife Karen in their “Quick Hits” section. In one of the quotes, Karen talks about meeting Kurt for the first time at a Hooters restaurant where she worked as a saleswoman for Pittsburgh Brewing Company and he was there for an autograph appearance. Regarding her future with TNA she says: ''I don't know if I'll ever wrestle, but if asked, sure, I'll do it. And, yeah, I have a few tricks under my sleeve, so I certainly could beat all of the TNA Knockouts and probably some of the TNA guys, too."

Spike TV threw a big company party for TNA a few weeks ago. The party took place on 9/25 after the first two-hour iMPACT! taping. Everyone was drinking champagne and celebrating. Pacman Jones had 500 $1 bills and was making it rain money. Nobody said anything about it, at least to him.

A few weeks ago, the 9/27 Impact drew a pretty bad rating in the form of a 0.91 figure. On the show, there was a women's gauntlet match. That match was the highest rated segment on the show as it gained 211,000 viewers over the previous segment. Also, a Sting/Mesias brawl lost 79,000 viewers and a match between Sabin & Shelley vs. Hoyt & Rave lost 53,000 viewers.

In the Sports section on Comcast Digital, there is a half-hour program promoting this Sunday's pay-per-view, Bound For Glory. The program features video packages and clips of matches on Impact from the last month or so building up this Sunday's pay-per-view. One match they're promoting on the show has since been changed as it shows Judas Mesias in the graphic for the Monster's Ball match. Due to an injury in Mexico, he is being replaced in the match by Black Reign.

Even Mo' News:

Writer Brian Gewirtz is pushing to get Rey Mysterio on Raw. He noted that there were a ton of fresh opponents for him to face on the red brand. There has been talk in the past of moving Rey to Raw, but it has really picked up in the last few weeks. Right now, the decision is up in the air. McMahon didn't say yes, but he didn't say no either. If Rey left SmackDown, it would really hurt the show's ratings because they are held up by kids and Hispanics as he is a huge ratings draw in both demographics.

Ric Flair has been removed from the SmackDown opening video. Not too sure what this means, as he is still listed on the SmackDown roster page on WWE.com and appears in the clip montage that starts all WWE programming.

Adam "Pacman" Jones told people last week at the TNA Impact tapings that as far as he knows, he’s done after Sunday’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view. Jarrett is unable to get the Tennessee Titans permission to allow him to wrestle, thus they are running out of ideas on how he can work tag matches without doing moves or selling.

TNA BFG Spoiler: It is likely that A.J. Styles and Tomko will win the tag team championship belts at Bound For Glory.

The official trailer for TNA Impact: The Video Game is now online.

Lilian Garcia recently proposed a storyline to management wherein people would somehow confuse her with Jillian Hall. She wants to be involved in a storyline to help promote her new music album, ¡Quiero Vivir!, which was released yesterday.

Historically, Lilian has vehemently opposed doing certain angles. For instance, when the Viscera & Lilian love storyline was taking place, she protested against being involved in it and whole thing was prematurely cancelled.

The angle they have in mind is that after Jillian's name had been screwed up time after time, she'd finally snap and do something to the beautiful blonde Latina ring announcer. This would then lead to Battle of the Bands/American Idol style spin-off angle. Television producer Kevin Dunn loved the idea and was pushing hard for it to happen.

If the angle goes through, it's going to have to happen within the next week or two obviously. Also, if the angle does end up taking place, it will likely only be a short-term thing.

From the take it for what it’s worth category, WWE has removed “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair from the Friday Night SmackDown opening. However, he is still listed on the SmackDown roster page and in the clip montage that airs at the beginning of all WWE programming. Flair’s WWE status has remained up in the air for several weeks as there are some unknown issues between him and company officials.

In what most would consider a surprise, there is currently a poll running on WWE.com asking fans "Batista claims that The Great Khali has had his last title opportunity. Do agree with his decision?" As of the time of this writing nearly 51% of responses have voted for "No. Give him another rematch."

Based on Nielsen's Fast National Numbers, last night's edition of Friday Night Smackdown scored a 2.6 broadcast rating. The final numbers should be available in the next few days.

Batista will defend the WWE World Title against The Undertaker with fans picking the special guest referee out of Steve Austin, Mick Foley and JBL.

Mike Johnson is reporting that WWE has released Robert Gibson from the company. Gibson, best known to fans as a member of Rock N’ Roll Express, had been working in WWE’s Ohio Valley Wrestling developmental territory as a trainer.

They should have on youtube. If your talking about downloading, I recommend utorrent w/ isoHunt or limewire.

-- On an interesting note, this year's Survivor Series will mark the 10 year anniversary of the infamous Montreal Screwjob with Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon. Shawn is expected to play a major role on the show and it was reported last week that some kind of angle with The New Hart Foundation was in the works. I guess all those Hart Foundation plans are up in the air right now since Teddy Hart's release.

-- Speaking of The New Hart Foundation, Billy Kidman took Teddy's place in an eight-man tag match at Saturday night's FCW show. Kidman teamed with Harry Smith, Ted DiBiase Jr. and TJ Wilson to defeat G-Rilla, Jake Hager, Afa Jr. and Shawn Osborne. RAW superstar Santino Marella also wrestled on the show, losing to Kofi Kingston in a #1 contenders match.

Well, it seems that Booker T and Sharmell have been released from the WWE. I felt it was going to happen soon. Damn, no more Booker. Ah well, his wrestling school is going well, so good luck to him with that.

  • 2 weeks later...

ahhh! cry.gif i missed a bunch of news due to the server change and my internet being down.

Injury Central

WWE has confirmed that RAW diva Candice Michelle will not require surgery for her broken collarbone. As reported earlier Michelle is expected to return in 6 - 8 weeks.

On WWE's website, Candice Michelle's name has been removed from the preview for the Divas Halloween Costume Contest at Cyber Sunday. Candice will be out of action 6-8 weeks after it was determined that she suffered a cracked clavicle from her awkward landing on Raw. Luckily, surgery will not be needed.

More on Injuries: During the European Tour there was reportedly an incident in the Undertaker & Kane vs. Finlay & Chris Masters match that may have resulted in Chris Masters' getting a broken nose.

During the match The Deadman was working over The Masterpiece's arm and got pissed off when he wouldn't sell the arm after tagging out. After numerous attempts to get Masters to sell that his arm was hurting he got the idea, but seemingly forgot again later in the match ticking Taker off some more.

When The Undertaker and Chris Masters tagged in to face each other at the end of the match Taker was said to be working stiff on him, eventually bloodying Master's nose.

When the match had finished it was clear that Masters had ended up injuring his arm legitimately, dislocating his elbow as previously reported.

His injury is not thought to be from a legitimate attack from The Undertaker and the incidents that took place in the match, although may seem shocking are quite common place between the ring veteran Taker and the relatively newcomer Masters. It's all part of being a ring general to make greener talent sell their "injuries."

Injury Update: Matt Hardy suffered a 7 inch gash that required 35 stitches to lose last night in Kansas City at the TV tapings.

He was giving Rey Mysterio a splash mountain and Mysterio's knee brace caught him in the head. He was bleeding buckets and they had to stop the show to change the mat because of all the blood. At this point, his status for Cyber Sunday is uncertain.

Jason & Jerry sent us word that local advertisement for Monday Night Raw next week in Philadelphia, PA has Randy Orton & Umaga vs. Triple H & Shawn Michaels.

herbforsythe sent this in: Bret Hart was at Chapters in Toronto on Monday signing copies of his new book. I went down and got an autograph and some pictures. Bret came across as a very friendly guy. This was my first chance to meet him and I am very happy to have had the chance to shake the hand of this true wrestling legend.

Adam Lebow of www.thershl.com sent this in: The Fan 590 in Toronto, the radio home for Prime Time Sports, has posted the full hour conversation that was had Tuesday (actually about an hour and 15 minutes ago) with Bret Hart. The podcast, which aside from Bob McCown also is with this weeks co-host Stephen Brunt (of the Globe and Mail newspaper) and Gordern Kirke (Bret Hart's former agent and "legal council to the stars") is available at Fan590.com. It is a rather interesting listen, something that really stimulates interest in the book.

Adam Lebow also sent this in: On SportsCenter, they were running in show advertisments during the 2am edition (which will replay on the morning loop) that Bret Hart will be on TSN Off the Record on Wednesday, at 6pm ET. Jay Onrait, a SportsCenter anchor will be hosting the episode, as Michael Landsberg is on vacation. (Ironically, Onrait is the second temp host for OTR, the only other host has been Chris Jericho).

Devin Cutting sent this in: Sci-Fi will not be airing ECW on Tuesday, December 4th due to a mini-series marathon. ECW will air Thursday, December 6th at 10 PM, head-to-head with the second hour of TNA Impact. Reminder: Sci-Fi is also pre-empting ECW on Christmas Day & ECW won't air at all that week.

Lance Storm’s latest commentary is up on his website. He speaks on things that annoy him while watching TNA on Thursday when is comes to promos.

Rey Mysterio and Lilian Garcia are both scheduled to be taping an episode of Mun2's "Vivo" show at their studios at the Universal Citywalk. Fans are welcome to be part of the studio audience, parking and attending the event is all free and is scheduled to be taped at 3PM. Seating is limited, those who are interested in attending the event e-mail [email protected]

Several people have noted that on the inside of the new Rey Mysterio DVD, the Guerrero family members, Eddy & Chavo, are listed as Eddie Guerrera and Chavo Guerrera and Ultimo Dragon is called Ultimate Dragon. They also call Halloween Havoc "Halloween House" Halloween Havoc "Halloween House".

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was on The Today Show in this morning. He was promoting his latest movie, "Game Plan”. No mention wrestling other than a mention that he once wrestled.

WWE are having fans to vote for their name of the ECW replay show which will air weekly on WWE.com. The options are ECW X-Stream, ECW Extreme Encore, ECW Double Take, ECW Extreme Relapse or ECW Free-Per-View.

--The Sci Fi Network has released their TV scheduled for the month of December. ECW will be pre-empted on Tuesday, December 25th and will not air at all that week. Therefore if Sci Fi does not renew ECW, the final episode will air on Tuesday, December 18th.

Update: The ECW brand is going to be sticking around after all. WWE just sent out the following press release:

SCI FI CHANNEL REUPS WWE®’S ECW® THROUGH 2008

New York, N.Y., October 23, 2007 - SCI FI Channel and World Wrestling Entertainment® today announced that the hit program, ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling®, will continue on the network through 2008.

WWE is also the producer of the No. 1 weekly basic cable TV series, “Monday Night RAW®” on USA Network.

This year (Jan-Sept), SCI FI has been the #1 cable network for men ages 18-34 in ECW's Tuesday 10pm time period.

For more information go to ECW.com http://www.wwe.com/shows/ecw/ and www.SCIFI.com.

SCI FI Channel is a television network where "what if" is what's on. SCI FI fuels the imagination of viewers with original series and events, blockbuster movies and classic science fiction and fantasy programming, as well as a dynamic Web site (www.scifi.com) and magazine. Launched in 1992, and currently in 85 million homes, SCI FI Channel is a network of NBC Universal, one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies.

World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: WWE), is an integrated media and entertainment company headquartered in Stamford, Conn., with offices in New York City, Los Angeles, Toronto and London. Additional information on the company can be found at wwe.com and corporate.wwe.com .

-- Many people have sent emails asking about The Boogeyman’s whereabouts. Currently he is out of action nursing a calf injury. He hasn’t been on WWE television since September 18th during his match against Big Daddy V on ECW on Sci-Fi. The injury does not seem to be very serious. No word on when he will return.

-- A lot of talk has been going on recently in WWE about bringing Big Daddy V and CM Punk to SmackDown. However, with WWE’s latest attempt to improve ECW’s rating those plans have been moved to the backburner. Also with SmackDown wrestlers appearing on ECW and vice versa, the move would be pointless. If this altercation occurs, it may bring more room for Rey Mysterio to go to Raw. Although nothing has been confirmed, it is more than like it won't happen.

Update: WWE.com is reporting that CM Punk will now appear on both ECW and SmackDown! as a part of the new 'business partnership. So expect to see Punk on SD! each week.

You can still catch ECW in an uninterrupted video stream here on WWE.com Wednesday at 4pm ET and name this historic feature.

Longtime WWE fan and middle linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs, Napoleon Harris, dropped by the locker room area prior to tonight’s edition of ECW on Sci Fi, along with Chiefs' wide receiver Eddie Kennison. Harris, chosen 23rd in the 2002 NFL Draft, is no fair-weather WWE fan. Citing references to WrestleMania and WrestleMania II during his sit-down conversation with WWE.com, he said one aspect that has captivated him and kept him watching for all these years is the in-ring abilities and athleticism of the Superstars. “It’s fascinating because you think those guys, with their size and ability, they could be the football or basketball players that play in this arena,” Harris said. “I bet with their talents, if they weren’t professional wrestlers they’d be professional athletes in some capacity. I just respect those guys a lot.” But don’t let Harris fool you; it’s not all about the Superstars. “I’m also looking forward to getting up-close and personal with the Divas, too,” he joked.

GameTap posted an interview with Samoa Joe where he talks about the new TNA videogame and makes the confession that the TNA wrestlers are really a bunch of “nerds”.

As noted earlier here on the site, the Saturday replay of TNA Impact scored a 0.5 cable rating.

If you noticed a beautiful young lady holding a President of the Robert Roode fan club sign, she is none other than Rain. She is the regular tag team partner of Lacey (Ring of Honor).

ShopTNA.com will have new merchandise for Kurt Angle, The Motorcity Machine Guns and Sting available soon.

A best of iMPACT! DVD is in the early planning stages.

The 10/11 house show in Birmingham, AL drew 450 fans, which was headlined by Kurt Angle vs. Samoa Joe for the TNA title.

Brad sent this in: I just received a text from TNA Mobile that read: "The former IC and European Champion rumored to be coming to work for TNA is D'Lo Brown. His role in the company at this point is unknown." To add on this mobile alert, WrestleZone.com is reporting that Brown is expected to be working backstage as an agent for TNA at the next set of iMPACT! tapings next week in Orlando in what is being touted as a tryout role. Whether or not he will wrestle for the company remains to be seen, but was described as looking great in a Dark Match for WWE not long ago at Madison Square Garden.

As noted earlier here on the site, Talia Madison confirmed on her official "MySpace" page that she has signed a deal with TNA Wrestling to take part in the company's new women's division.

Side Note: Royal Rumble promotional material suggests they will do the 'Jackass' inclusion at the PPV.

-- TLC has commissioned a new TV show called Roughhouse which will be a reality show following pro wrestlers who are being trained in the PWC promotion in Arlington, Texas. Training sessions will be finished up over the next few weeks.

-- The latest reports out indicate that Lashley will likely be returning from shoulder surgery in December.

-- There is talk within WWE about a trade of sorts where Mark Henry would go to RAW and Umaga would go to Smackdown. Vince likes the idea because it will provide for fresh opponents, and also likes the thought of an Undertaker/Umaga feud. The plan for Henry would be to feud with Cena.

Dark match main event: Batista/Rey def. Khali/Finlay

[] The Orlando Sentinel published an interview today with former WWE superstar Booker T. Below are some highlights from the interview:

Regarding His Suspension: "I feel that I wasn't protected by the (WWE).... I feel like I got suspended without just cause. I feel like it wasn't right, and that's the reason why I chose to leave WWE because in order to protect my reputation, I have to believe in something."

The difference between RAW & SmackDown: "My time on Smackdown, it was a great run... It was beautiful, just pushing for whoever was the champion over there. We really didn't care who was the champion. There were no politics, no hassles. Then going back over to Raw, it was like a dark cloud coming over. I just knew it wasn't the place where I wanted to be. There are a whole lot of politics. You have to deal with a lot of garbage. I just knew, for my mental state, it wasn't going to be a good place."

On his match with Triple H at SummerSlam: "That's where the business part comes in, the politics come in. I really feel like it should have been me and Jerry Lawler at Summerslam. I'm a professional, and I go out there and do my job. It wasn't what it could have been. I can honestly say I have never watched that match on tape because I felt like my body was out there but my mind wasn't."

[] The firing of Kristal Marshall from WWE was a long time in the making. One source said that she would tell the writers that Teddy Long or Vickie Guerrero weren’t happy with certain storylines and when word would get back to Teddy or Vickie, they would get upset because it was not true. Kristal gained a reputation for refusing to sell beatings and always ignoring feedback. There was talk of moving Kristal to RAW since she’s dating Bobby Lashley but the plan was scrapped after Vince McMahon had enough of her. The plan back in August was for Vickie to gain power of SmackDown after Teddy Long’s “heart attack” (which has happened) and “fire” Kristal with her ending up on RAW. The firing ended up being legitimate as she is now finished with the company.

Booker T has made it clear that just because he is gone from WWE does need mean that he is retiring from wrestling. Most people are under the impression that he will end up in TNA as they have a high level of interest in him and have been looking for the next big name to join the company.

As reported, the Sci-Fi Channel has renewed ECW through the year 2008. WWE had prepared for the worst by announcing that the show would air on Wednesdays each week commercial free on WWE.com. This was a backup plan in case the series was not renewed and would give the company an outlet to broadcast the show. WWE had asked USA/NBC/Universal for a long-term extension for ECW, however, the one-year renewal was not open for negotiation. Vince McMahon of course took it, but was not happy.

WWE’s most recent European tour was said to be one of the most successful in company history. They ran a total of 19 very successful shows.

From David: I am watching the scream awards on Spike TV. After Jessica Abla got off stage, they played the Hardy Noys music.

Congress has sent a number of letters similar to the one that they sent to Lance Storm to other WWE and TNA talent. The mentality in WWE is very much one of Us vs. Them and several of the performers that have received letters have said that they will not talk to Congress about anything. There have been a few people that have agreed to talk to them as their attitude is that nothing is going to happen anyway.

The thing that Congress was very interested in was whether Vince McMahon ever flat-out told people to get on steroids, and of course he did not. The feeling is that Congress is aware that they have nothing on McMahon personally and steroids are an industry-wide issue that is almost impossible to get under control. As one source put it, the wrestling business has a bigger is better mentality that is so entrenched in people’s minds that no matter what happens, guys are going to try and skirt the system even with testing.

Before her WWE release, there were plans to give Krissy Vaine a huge push on SmackDown with a lot of TV time. Michael Hayes was especially high on Vaine and felt she was above most of the Divas on the roster. There were no plans to send her boyfriend Ryan O'Reilly to RAW or anywhere else, they just booked him on some RAW shows to get him back on the radar. Vince McMahon was reportedly high on O'Reilly.

As previously posted, WWE developmental wrestler Cassidy James broke his arm in a match with The Major Brothers recently. James will be out for six weeks and is currently in a cast.

Believe it or not, the idea for Lilian Garcia to record a Spanish CD came from Vince McMahon. Garcia grew up in Spain. She was pushing to do an angle with Jillian Hall, figuring the attention would help CD sales.

As noted last weekend here on the site, Ric Flair is still doing promotional dates for WWE. He is telling people that the creative team is working on an idea to bring him back.

Apparently, Karen Angle "made a spectacle of herself" at the party thrown by Spike TV in celebration of the first two hour Impact taping last month. Whatever she did at the party, it removed some of the internal luster over the Angle family among many people in TNA.

Complete Cyber Sunday Results

- The WWE promo hits.

- A video package airs showing the importance of the fan voting behind the Cyber Sunday concept.

- A graphic opening then welcomes us to Cyber Sunday as we go live to the Verizon Center. A display of pyro goes off as well.

- Rey Mysterio defeated Finlay in a Stretcher Match. The stretcher stipulation got 40% of the vote to the Shillelagh on a Pole Match and the No DQ Match. Fans in Washington, D.C. were really behind Mysterio and Finlay got some great heel heat. The object here is to put your opponent on the stretcher and push him to the finish line. A shillelagh ended up getting involved in the match with Finlay using it on Mysterio. The finish saw Mysterio hit the 619 on Finlay knocking him onto the stretcher at ringside followed by a big flip dive on Finlay over the stretcher. As Mysterio was wheeling Finlay to the finish line, the stretcher got caught on some cable cord. Looks like both improvised big time at this point as Finlay got off the stretcher, but got knocked back on it and Mysterio wheeeled him to the finish to get the win.

- As noted on WWE.com, they are continuing the speculation that Matt Hardy won't be competing tonight against MVP after suffering an injury on Smackdown. They showed post-match photos of Hardy who was clearly banged up and required stitches to his forehead. They show MVP confronting Matt backstage saying he agreed with the medical professionals on not clearing him to compete tonight. Hardy said he still wanted to compete. MVP said he heard a decision has already been made for his opponents tonight to either be Mark Henry, The Great Khali or Kane with the WWE U.S. Title on the line.

- At ringside, JBL was shown wearing a referee outfit saying the voting is close tonight. Voting is also available on WWE.com for tonight's U.S. Title Match involving MVP defending against either Mark Henry, The Great Khali or Kane.

- A backstage promo was shown of Victoria and Kenny Dykstra dressed as Mr. Fuji and Yokozuna for Halloween.

- CM Punk defeated The Miz to retain the ECW Championship. The Miz won 39% of the vote. Gotta say this was a big shock here. Lots of ground wrestling early on between the two, which might have been an indicator that they didn't think the voting was going to go this way at all. Fans in Washington, D.C. where chanting "YOU CAN'T WRESTLE" at The Miz. Despite the fan reaction, the match wasn't all that bad. Punk hit a quick bulldog on Miz that resulted in a two count. The finish saw Punk get the win with the Go To Sleep to retain the title.

- Backstage, Mickie James was shown wearing a Native American costume, while Torrie Wilson was wearing a Washington Redskins jersey.

- A video package aired looking at the current WWE Title situation.

- Shawn Michaels won 59% of the vote to face Randy Orton tonight for the WWE Title. They announced the two losers would face each other in a singles match next.

- Mr. Kennedy defeated WWE Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy in a Non-Title Bonus Match. Hardy sent Kennedy to the floor early on in the match, with Hardy taking out Kennedy by leaping over the top rope. Hardy took out Kennedy with a quick huricanranna back in the ring. Kennedy blocked a Twist of Fate attempt only to get the Whisper in the Wind. The finish, which went down rather quickly, saw Hardy miss a dropkick and hit his head on the mat allowing Kennedy to cover for the quick pinfall.

- Backstage, Michelle McCool is dressed as Eve, while Melina is dressed like a Las Vegas showgirl.

- A JBL video aired (very political like and rather funny) to get fans to vote for him. Mick Foley also went for the fans vote as well tonight with the classic "yeah!" line at the end.

- Kane won 67% of the vote to earn a shot at the WWE U.S. Title against MVP.

- Kane defeated WWE U.S. Champion MVP via countout - MVP retains the U.S. Title. The match started with MVP avoiding Kane early on. Kane sent MVP into the ring post and started working on his ribs. Kane continued to work on his ribs with numerous punches, knees and kicks. The finish saw MVP simply roll out and fall to the floor and accept the countout finish. The crowd didn't seem to like this finish and who would for $40?

- Another "Save_Us" video aired.

- Promo for Survivor Series on November 18 aired.

- Backstage, Layla is dressed as a cop and Kelly Kelly is dressed up like a gangster.

- Backstage, WWE Champion Randy Orton talked about his upcoming title defense against Shawn Michaels. A video aired of Orton taking out HBK in the past and how tonight would be no different.

- Shawn Michaels defeated WWE Champion Randy Orton via DQ; Orton retains the WWE Title. Early on, Orton caught HBK with a big uppercut. They started exchanging blows in the ring until Orton took HBK down and started working on his left elbow that was taped up. HBK got a close pinfall after after counting a back drop attempt by Orton. Orton then got in a series of offense on HBK with a quick backbreaker. HBK responded with an flying elbow off the top, but Orton moved. HBK countered an RKO attempt by Orton into a close backslide pin. HBK finally connected with the flying elbow. HBK started to tune up the band as the fans got behind him. The finish saw HBK go for the Sweet Chin Music, but Orton ducked and low blowed HBK to cause the DQ. After the match, Orton looked to kick HBK in the head to put him out of action again until HBK jumped up to his feet and connected with the Sweet Chin Music on Orton.

- We saw a shot of Brooke dressed as Jane (from the jungle) and Jillian Hall is dressed as Britney Spears. Jim Ross called this the worst Halloween costume contest ever.

- A promo for WrestleMania 24 on March 30, 2008 aired. Tickets go on sale this Saturday.

- The Street Fight stipulation won with 57% of the vote for Triple H vs. Umaga tonight. The crowd in Washington, D.C. didn't like this and obviously wanted to see a Steel Cage.

- Triple H defeated Umaga in a Street Fight Match. The match started right away with both brawling at the entrance area when Umaga came out second. The action spilled into the audience a bit until they both made it to the ringside area. Triple H brought in a trash can and cracked it over the head of Umaga. They brawled to the outside again and Umaga sent Triple H into the steel steps. Umaga tried to use a steel chair on Triple H, but Triple H caught Umaga with a low blow followed by giving Umaga a DDT over the chair. Umaga went to the outside and removed the top of the announce tables at ringside. Umaga took out Triple H with a splash through the ECW announce table. The action spilled back into the ring and Umaga attempted a splash, but Triple H moved. The finish saw Triple H get a sledgehammer on the outside. Once inside, Umaga attempted a Samoan Spike but missed. Triple H caught Umaga with the sledgehammer followed by a Pedigree and got the pinfall. Very good match.

  • 2 weeks later...

According to WWE.com, 41,000 tickets for the event were sold in 30 minutes making WrestleMania 24 the highest-grossing event in the history of the Florida Citrus Bowl so far (noting that the show has already outsold the Rolling Stones' Citrus Bowl appearance).

wow,popular than ever aint it?

Oh and...

STAMFORD, Conn., November 2, 2007 – In accordance with its Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy, WWE today suspended the following performers for violations: Chris Mordetzky (Chris Masters) for 60 days (second violation) and Harry Smith (DH Smith) for 30 days (first violation).

They are making it public I see, until one of the huge names gets caught?

Why in the hell would D.H. Smith want to use steroids considering they killed his father? He's screwing his career already!

Meh, WWE said, after the last scandle, that all future suspensions would be made public. Extra incentive for the guys to lay off. Wow, DH Smith just debuted on Raw like two weeks ago, and already is suspended. WOW.

No surprise that Masters would get caught again in the 'roid scandal.

That was awesome when Austin brought out the beer truck tonight on Raw. Shades of the Attitude Era... dozingoff.gif

Haha, Tom Green is supposed to be there? I missed the first half hour...can anyone tell me exactly what happened, including with Green? Is that him in the green shirt? I ask because I'm kind of a fan of his web show(which Steve Austin was on a few months ago) and I haven't watched it in a while...kind of a cool suprise that he pops up out of nowhere.

Anyway, so far so good. I really liked the whole Santino vs. Austin segment, and the matches tonight have been pretty good. Looking forward to the DX main event too, of course.

I'm not entirely sure if that's him. After DX started the show and then they went to the first commercial, I had been flipping back and forth between playing Saints Row and of course watching Raw, up until the Austin/Santino segment started.

Apparently Jamie Kennedy(who was also on Tommy's show) was there as well.

Anyway, I gotta say..RAW Of The Year...come on. Great Austin segment, great matches, awesome main event, just all around a great episode with minimal fluff and a great DX return.

Hollywood. There's always the random few celebrities there. I remember WrestleMania 21 had quite a few celebrities.

@ROTY: I'd say it's a tie between this Raw and the one featuring the Cena/Michaels II match, which was definitely match of the year IMO, even if it did have Cena in it.

Let's get ready to Suck It!!!

A: Summerslam or post Summerslam edition of Raw (See below for details)

Right now the current plan in WWE is to hold off on Chris Jericho's return until after Survivor Series. They want to continue to run the viral marketing campaign which helps continue to draw higher ratings to RAW with much anticipation of his return. Survivor Series will take place on November 18th at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida.
Chris Jericho will celebrate his 37th birthday on November 9th. A party has been scheduled for tomorrow night at the Mood Supperclub in Hollywood, California from 8 PM to 2 AM. For those interested in attending, email [email protected]nline.com. It is interesting to note that tonight’s SmackDown/ECW tapings will take place from Bakersfield, California which is only about an hour drive from Hollywood.

The latest talk within WWE is that Chris Jericho will return to the company after the Survivor Series pay-per-view. Apparently WWE wants to continue the viral marketing campaign to continue to build towards Jericho’s return. Survivor Series takes place November 18, 2007.

Last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown ended up doing a 2.8 broadcast rating. This is the highest rating that the show has done in the past several weeks.

WWE is now marketing a Save_US.222 t-shirt. The description for the product reads: "Something strange is happening to RAW on Monday nights. Alarming interruptions during broadcasts have been going on for weeks. Now it is infecting WWESHOP. Someone is coming to save us, now they can save you too.”

More on Jericho; Last friday he was in some conflict with the Opie and Anthony Show:

Chris Jericho was a guest on the "Opie & Anthony" radio show last Friday morning. What started off as a fun and laidback interview eventually boiled down to a very heated confrontation between Jericho and O&A guest host Jim Norton. Norton's brand of comedy is very edgy and he's been known to cross the line from time to time - and this appearance was no exception. When the subject of Jericho's dad playing hockey for New York Rangers came up, Chris mentioned that how he also plays a little hockey and has participated in the Christopher Reeve Celebrity Hockey Benefit for the past 4 years at Madison Square Garden. Reeve, who was a quadriplegic, has been a frequent target of jokes by the O&A gang for years, so Norton chimed in and called the event "the third annual blink-off". Jericho didn't appreciate the joke and immediately told Norton that he went too far. He explained that Reeve was a close friend and that he's got to stick up for his friends. Norton said he didn't realize that Reeve was his friend, but defended himself - saying it was a joke and that everything should be fair game in comedy. It got very tense between the two, but then Jericho loosened up and things seemed to be ok. Norton, however would not let it go and said that he could tell that Jericho was still thinking about it. It got even more heated, when Jericho told Norton that it appeared that his (Norton's) feelings were hurt by some of Jericho's retorts. Opie then explained why Jericho have taken personal offense to Norton's joke - Jericho's mother was a quadriplegic. The show pretty much grinded to a halt. It got so tense between Jericho and Norton that a security guard was brought into the studio to make sure nothing happened between Jericho and Norton. Jericho said he was offended by the security guard, saying he was a professional and would never resort to violence. This back-and-forth between Jericho and Norton went on for at least a half hour. They eventually got a no girl into the studio to relieve the tension, but overall it was a unique interview to say the least.
Last Friday morning, Chris Jericho was a guest on the popular syndicated radio show Opie & Anthony. Jericho got into a major blowup with co-host Jim Norton after Norton made fun of the late Christopher Reeve being quadriplegic. The confrontation began when Jericho defended Reeve, who was a personal friend of his before he passed away. The interview came to a screetching halt when it was revealed that Jericho's mother was also quadriplegic. Security was called in and things were very heated before things settled down.

Yesterday morning on the Opie & Anthony, they were talking about the argument Jericho got into with Jim Norton last Friday. The hosts went through the whole situation and actually gave Jericho credit for keeping his cool when things could have gone much worse than they did.

Take this for what it's worth, but Opie said that Chris Jericho told him off-air that he was going back to WWE after his book tour was over. Upon listening to several of Jericho's recent interviews, he has been teasing something big after the book tour is was over. That said, Jericho is the master of dropping clues (most of them fake) - so we shall see.

More on Fabulous Moolah:

A legend in the history of WWE's women's division Fabulous Moolah has passed away at the age of 84.

Many fans will remember the Hall Of Famer for her humorous appearances with Mae Young but she was there from day one.

Moolah's career was recognized in the 2004 documentary "Lipstick and Dynamite", which looked at the pioneering days of women's professional wrestling, featuring Moolah, Mae Young and Penny Banner, among others. And she released an autobiography via WWE in 2004.

Moolah had recently undergone an eye transplant and was scheduled to have her shoulder replaced.

"In the world of women’s wrestling, there will always be one irrefutable legend that stands head and shoulders above the rest: The Fabulous Moolah. She was the longest reigning champion in the history of her chosen sport, or any sport for that matter. And with more than 50 years in the business to her credit, she established a legacy that will never be forgotten, making her name synonymous with female wrestling."

--The possible cause of death for Fabulous Moolah was a heart attack or blood clot related to recent shoulder replacement surgery according to her daughter Mary Austin.

Jay Lethal defending the X Division Title is expected to be added to the Genesis card for this Sunday. We are aware of one report touting Elix Skipper as the opponent, although nothing has been confirmed by TNA at this point. Christopher Daniels and Senshi can be ruled out as opponents since they will be overseas working for New Japan along with Rhino and Ron "The Truth" Killings.

Mavel.com has an interview with Alex Shelley.

Just a reminder that CNN will be airing the "Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling" documentary on Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. We will more than likely have a recap from the show later that night, but if anyone catches the show please feel free to pass on a report.

WWE.com has an interview up with Steve Austin where he talks about appearing on Raw last night and at the Cyber Sunday PPV.

WWE will start selling "Save_Us.222" t-shirts starting November 19.

Alex Bryer sent this in: I was recently watching the New York Rangers hockey game on the MSG network in New York. After the game concluded it went to the MSG post-game show hosted by none other than "The Coach" Jonathan Coachman. I was shocked to see this as I didn't know he worked outside the WWE as well. Coach did highlights from several sports including baseball, football and basketball in an ESPN style commentary.

Darryn sent this in: I got the new Undertaker 15-0 DVD a couple of days ago at Wal-Mart and the DVD comes with a bonus disc that is a game preview of Smackdown vs. Raw 2008.

Stefan Gorges sent this in regarding last week's Smackdown rating that did a 2.8 rating: I just wanted to note, that this is the best Smackdown number since March 23rd 2007, when the show did 3.0.

MrWrestlemania21 sent this in: I don't know if it's been reported or not, or if they even show this program over in the US, but here in the UK, we have a show called Afterburn, which is basically a recap of Smackdown shoved into an hour. The same for Raw is Bottom Line. Well, I was watching one of them this morning, and as the presenter was talking, the TV screen behind him went from the bottom line logo to playing the Save_Us video. He turned around, made some comment like "What the hell?" and then went back to talking.

Manuel R. Batista sent this in: Just a funny and silly note. I was surfing through WWE's website, and I noticed WWE Japan's link. When I checked it out I found that they still have Booker T's profile online. Also, Sabu's, and on one page, they list John Cena as WWE Champion. Maybe it's because their TV shows aren't up-to-date, but at least you would think that Sabu shouldn't be featured on their website by now, considering how long he's been gone from the company

- Internally, no one was surprised by the release of Extreme Exposé member Brooke Adams. It wasn't one thing, but a culmination of things that resulted in her release from the company.

From day one she was considered to a problem in the company. She practically made it a habit to draw attention to herself. She rubbed a number of people backstage the wrong way and had people rolling their eyes at her behavior. What with the turnover rate of women in WWE, especially this time of year with all the Diva Search girls looming about, her release wasn't too surprising.

Without the top notch attitude, the star power, or the in-ring skills, WWE had no real need for Adams. She was an expendable talent, and with her bad attitude, WWE just thought it was time for her to go. It got to the point where her negatives outweighed the positives and they felt it was better to release her.

- Former WWE superstar Shawn Daivari has been said to be interested in working for TNA Wrestling.

- As noted before, Junior Fatu aka Rikishi is gone from TNA. He was working on a night-by-night basis and was constantly asking for more money. There was some concern about his work in the ring and his attitude (he forgot Robert Roode's name during an interview by calling him "Rick Rude"), and so they decided not to offer him what he felt he was was worth. Because Fatu was advertised to wrestle in the Fight for the Right tournament at Monday's Impact taping, TNA actually announced that Fatu would not be there. Though he seemed to get a nice reception from the fans during his short stint in TNA, a number of people in crowd cheered the announcement.

- Several WWE superstars were on Family Feud yesterday. When asked "Name something that gets pumped up," one of the women said, "Lips." All of the male wrestlers answered questions by relating them to wrestling and using business terms, but in the end the female superstars won, as well as today. WWE Superstars will be seen on Family Feud until Friday as one of their usual 5 day-episode. Check local listings for times.

- Due to the writer's strike, this week’s edition of Saturday Night Live, which Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was scheduled to host has definitely been cancelled. Both NBC and SNL creator Lorne Michaels has stated that the show will no longer take place.

- WWE is releasing a Jeff Hardy teddy bear just in time for the Christmas season. The bear will be complete with long pink hair.

- In the new WWE Magazine there is a lot of promotional material on the SmackDown vs. RAW 2008 video game. ECW Champion CM Punk comments on the game by saying "It'd be awesome if you could unlock and wrestle as Gorilla Monsoon. Or, maybe unlock him and Bobby Heenan to commentate your match." Punk says other than that the game is dead on.

TNA will air their Road to Genesis special on Saturday evening on Spike TV in anticipation for this weekend’s Genesis pay-per-view. The special will feature the Ultimate X bout from Bound for Glory which featured LAX vs. Senshi and Elix Skipper.

TNA Wrestling will hold house shows on December 14th and December 15th in Mexico. The December 14th show will be in Arena Monterrey and the December 15th show will be in Mexico City at the Plaza de Toros. Names advertised for the show include TNA Champion Kurt Angle, Sting, Abyss, Judas Mesias, Christian Cage, The Steiners, Tomko, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, LAX, XXX's Elix Skipper and Christopher Daniels, Black Reign, Chris Harris, James Storm, Rhino, Jackie Moore, and Gail Kim.

Below is the official lineup for the TNA Genesis PPV for this Sunday:

TNA Champion Kurt Angle & Kevin Nash vs. Sting & Mystery Partner for the TNA Championship

Samoa Joe vs. Robert Roode

Team 3D vs. The Motor City Machineguns

TNA Women’s Champion Gail Kim vs. Roxxi Laveaux vs. ODB vs. Angel Williams

Black Reign vs. Abyss in the Shop of Horrors match

I'm going to Armageddon! First WWE event I've been to since Unforgiven 2001, which had my favorite match of all time in Austin vs. Angle. If Jericho returns then, that'd be awesome. Either that, or some huge gimmick match. Those would be great to see live.

That's awesome dude. I wonder if Duder is still going to Survivor Series, he never did update us on the situation.

I've been to 3 Raws and a house show, and I'm still waiting for a PPV in my area. Either way, I'll be getting ringside tickets for WrestleMania XXX, because that will more than likely be held at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Sadly, not. I've gotten over it though. I mean, sure I would have been on TV/PPV/DVD, sure I might have seen Jericho return in person, sure it would be my first live WWE show ever, and surely in general it would have been a cream dream, but that's ok. I'm fine. *face twitches uncontrollably with anger* tounge.gif

Anyway, it looks like those online dirt sheet sites were wrong again when they said Morrison would immediately get back the title when he returned from the suspension. Either way, I gotta say ECW is entertaining me quite a bit now. Is it like the original ECW? Probably not that much. Is it still an enjoyable WWE brand? For me, it is. I really like the Morrison - Punk feud. Also, the Morrison character is just so much better and interesting than the Nitro character. Nitro was a heel with a cheap gimmick to get heat. Morrison is more complex, and not an obvious simple heel. Cool intro too. I'm definitely enjoying RAW and ECW a lot more lately, the latter being somewhat underrated, IMO.

I love the way his hair blows in the wind, and the way he walks in slow-motion when he's on the way to the ring. smile.gif
