Maybe it can be the way it was back when the Attitude Era first started with HHH and Michaels both in DX while Michaels was the Champ/leader? That sounds good to me.

I know a place nearby that sells DX hoodies...now might be the time to get one.

Are they official vintage ones or like unofficial replicas? BTW, it'd be so cool to watch the Survivor Series DVD and see myself standing there in front with a DX shirt..well that's if I can get the shirt and tickets in time. tounge2.gif

Surprisingly they're official. Which is one of the reasons why I'm interested in buying one. It'd go good with my Austin and Undertaker shirts.

And that would be cool. Only if you want any chance of seeing yourself on the DVD, you might want to get good seats. I remember when I taped the Raw I went to back in June, I couldn't even see the section I was sitting in, which is bad when compared to when I went back in '03 and '05. confused.gif

Well me and my friend are going for the front row seats, right near the barricade. They're a $100 a piece, so we better damn well be on TV!

BTW if you do get those hoodies, like if you have a camera, it'd be great if you could takes pics and show us. I don't know really want a hoody, probably just a normal shirt, but I'll shop around on eBay and see what I can find.

Ouch. Turns out we're not going. Well at least he's not going, he can't. I'd rather not delve into it because it's personal. Well..it'd be sucky to have to go alone. Maybe I can arrange a meet online with a few people, but most likely, I won't bother getting tickets.

But let's not dwell on this dissapointment. It seems we might have a Triple Threat Hell In A Cell match at Cyber Sunday, should be pretty kickass.

I'd love to go, but Miami's just a little too far for me. Now if it were in New York, that might be a different story, which is why I've already promised my friend that I'll be getting us ringside tickets for WrestleMania 30. But we're still kind of far from that event. tounge.gif

Now, what's this I hear about a 3 man HIAC? I'd kill to see that. If it's anything like the 6 man HIAC they had at Armageddon 2000, I'll be happy.

Well if that's really going to be a possible voting choice then it's quite obvious what type of match will take place.

I'm going with HIAC when I cast my vote. Meanwhile, I read on rajah that the Smackdown title will be a 4-way between Batista, Rey, Finlay, and Khali. We get to choose the refs: either JBL, Foley, or Austin (my probable pick). JBL apparently takes the place of Piper as an option. I hope it's not anything to do with Roddy's health.

I'm surprised HBK didn't get a bigger reaction when he showed up tonight, though they popped when he hit SCM. I'm glad the rumors about him retiring were either false or that he changed his mind. Still, he looked like a cross between Skinner and a hobo.

I'm hoping they also give us a choice on who we would like to face Orton. Either HHH or HBK. icon14.gif

Actually, for some reason, the choice is between HBK, Jeff Hardy, and Mr. Kennedy. For the first time in the history of the ppv, there are 3 choices that are all good. I won't vote for HBK, simply because that's what WWE wants, and I like trying to throw a monkey wrench into their plans. Jeff would be the next likely choice, as too many marks would vote, but I may go with Kennedy, because I want to see a heel vs. heel main event, and free Jeff up for an IC defense (I'd love to vote in Jeff vs. Super Crazy. Match of the year).

Well, the first night of Cena being gone and Orton being champion, and the rating drops from 3.2 to a 2.8.

Anyway, I am sure Stone Cold will be a choice to whoop Santino at Cyber Sunday.

I wonder if the mystery videos will continue next week, or if it was all for HBK. My guess is it will continue. Too many clues leading to Jericho, for it to not be him.

I did not expect the crowd to react more than what they did when HBK came out, but oh well.

And yeah MMFF, I was looking at the ratings, and it made me think. It was evident that Cena filled the seats, whether people like him or not, but now it makes me think that he primarily brought in the ratings as well. We'll have to look out for changes as the time goes by.

As noted earlier, the original main event for Cyber Sunday was scheduled to be John Cena vs. Randy Orton for the WWE Championship with fans deciding the stipulation: Hell In A Cell, No-DQ or Falls Count Anywhere. After Cena's injury, WWE announced that Triple H would replace Cena and challenge Orton. That match has been scrapped and there is a NEW main event. WWE fans have the chance to decide who Randy Orton will defend his newly won title against. The choices are Shawn Michaels, Intercontinental Champion Jeff Hardy and Mr. Kennedy. WWE Cyber Sunday takes place Sunday night October 28th from Washington, D.C. Ohh how things change by the hour in WWE.

WWE.com has officially announced the main event for Cyber Sunday, and all talk of stipulations have apparently been thrown out.

The main event is now scheduled as WWE Champion Randy Orton vs. the fan's choice of Shawn Michaels, Jeff Hardy or Mr. Kennedy.

Originally, the main event was to be John Cena vs. Randy Orton with fans deciding between a Hell In A Cell match, a No DQ match or a Falls Count Anywhere match. When Cena was injured, it was discussed that Triple H would slide into Cena's spot. Now, WWE has gone in a completely different direction for the main event. It will be interesting to see if the stipulations (which have been used in advertising for the show) are applied to another bout on the card, or if they are completely forgotten.

Last night on RAW, former WWE Champion John Cena appeared on the Titantron via satellite. It was his first public interview since having surgery last week to repair his torn pectoral tendon. Cena gave everyone an update on his condition. When Vince McMahon spoke on last week's ECW TV broadcast, he said Cena could be back in 6 months, but the latest prognosis is that he'll be out for 7-12 months. With WrestleMania only 6 months away, it now appears even less likely that Cena has any chance of returning in time for the show. icon14.gif

With former WWE Champion John Cena out of action for 7-12 months following surgery, two other top stars are getting ready for their own returns. Edge and Bobby Lashley both had surgery several months ago we have a big update on when we can expect to see both men back in action.

Former WWE Champion and SmackDown! superstar Edge suffered a very similar injury to Cena's back in July. He too was forced to relinquish his World Heavyweight Championship after surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle.

Edge is featured on the promotional poster for this year's Survivor Series. That event takes place on Sunday November 18th from Orlando, Florida. Edge is expected to make his return to television in the weeks leading up to the PPV. He is expected to return to the World Heavyweight title picture immediately. icon14.gif

Former ECW Champion and RAW superstar Bobby Lashley is currently shooting for a December return to the ring. Lashley originally injured his left shoulder at April's backlash PPV. He worked through the injury for several months but badly aggravated it on the July 30th episode of RAW. He saw Dr. James Andrews and had surgery performed that same week.

Both men had main event spots on their respective brands. Their returns will give a much needed boost to WWE's thin roster.

It's already been a very busy month for wrestling news and there's no question that Chris Jericho's possible return to WWE is one of the top stories right now. London's Daily Star newspaper interviewed the former WWE superstar and asked him to address those rumors.

Here's what Chris Jericho said about returning to WWE:

You never know. I did it before and I can do it again. I've been gone for two years and that's a lifetime in wrestling. I seem to be caught in a controversial buzz at the moment. I'm a little confused as there's a lot of speculation but as always in these situations I'm the last to know.

These stories seem to swim around every three to four months since I left WWE. It's good to know fans are bringing my name up - there's nothing wrong with people talking about Chris Jericho. I always said if I were to go back I would only go if I could make a difference and be better than ever.

I don't have to come back at all, certainly not financially. I want to have some fun, be different and be better. I walked away on my own terms, so it's good to see I still have as much leeway two years later.

TMZ.com has a copy of the lawsuit filed by Richard Fliehr (Ric Flair) against Freedom Suzuki of Columbia, SC for using his "To Be The Man, You've Got to Beat the Man" saying and a character based on him in radio and TV commercials in the market.

Joey Matthews (Joey Mercury) and TNA are in major talks. TNA wants him to start immeditly and want him for Bound For Glory. They're having trouble arranging a flight that would get him into Atlanta on time due to overseas indy commitments.

Former WCW Cruiserweight champion Lenny Lane has started a new business. He is accepting bookings to arrange wrestling parties. Phew.

WWE will be promoting the upcoming 15th anniversary of Monday Night RAW which is coming up in January. According to sources within the company, WWE will release a special RAW DVD to commemorate the milestone.

WWE has announced their final television tapings of 2007. RAW will be taped on Saturday, December 29th in Greensboro, North Carolina and will air on Monday, December 31st. SmackDown and ECW will be taped on Sunday, December 30, 2007 in Richmond, Virginia.

Mick Foley is scheduled to make a guest appearance at Spookyworld in Boston, MA on October 29th. Speaking of Mick, he and The Rock are featured in Brian Kilmeade's sports book "It's How You Play the Game: The Powerful Sports Moments That Taught Lasting Values to America's Finest". The book features quotes and career highlights from different athletes and examines how to use those experiences as life lessons. The book was released in May and reports suggest that Mick Foley’s quotes came off very well.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson’s latest movie "The Game Plan" was the top movie in the United States last week, taking in $16.6 million dollars. That was the second week in a row that another film was expected to top the box office but was beat by The Rock’s Disney film.

Veteran cable executive Kevin Kay has been named president, Spike TV, it was announced today by Doug Herzog, president, MTVN Entertainment Group, to whom Kay will report. Kay, who is New York-based, previously served as general manager and executive vice president of Spike TV since October 2005. In his new role as president, Kay will oversee all original series development, serving as the driving force behind the creative direction of the network. He will continue to oversee production of specials and sports programming, as well as the marketing, corporate communications, research, on-air promotions, online and production departments.

ECW Champion CM Punk was spotted early this morning getting out of a limousine in Detroit, Michigan being followed around by CNN television cameras. Apparently they are filming him for their upcoming documentary on deaths in professional wrestling. Tonight's ECW/SmackDown tapings will take place from the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

Speaking of tonight's tapings, WWE is advertising the main event as Rey Mysterio & Batista vs. Finlay & the Great Khali. It is likely this match will be a dark main event.

-- After tonight's WWE tapings, the superstars of RAW, SmackDown and ECW will take off for Europe to take part in a big 10-day tour. They will be doing 19 shows in 10 days. WWE will run 12 shows in the UK, two shows in Ireland, three shows in Germany, one show in Belgium and one in Luxembourg. Next week's RAW will tape on Monday in Birmingham, England and SmackDown/ECW will tape on Tuesday in Birmingham, England. The WWE superstars will return to the States on 10/21, a Sunday.

-- Jake sent the following: I was going through WWE.com today looking to see if Triple H's WWE Title History had been updated. I noticed that some of the "2's" in his Bio were linked to the SAVE_US.222 video.

-- Susan sent the following: Just wanted to send word about Shawn Michaels' cameo in The Heartbreak Kid movie out this weekend. I just came from seeing it, and I must've missed seeing him. The credits said he was in the karaoke band somewhere in the movie. So for those looking to catch a glimpse, keep a sharp eye, obviously mine wasn't sharp enough. (Note: We've received several reports that HBK couldn't be spotted in the movie.)

WWE RAW announcer Lilian Garcia will be performing live this Thursday at the Knitting Factory in New York City to promote her new CD. She will also be holding autograph signings in The Bronx, NY and Los Angeles.

Brendon sent the following: Hey, I just thought you guys might like to know that Rob Van Dam, Christy Hemme and Raven are all coming to New Zealand for the Armageddon expo in Auckland. The Expo is on throughout October 20-22nd at the Auckland Aotea Centre. Raven will only be appearing on Monday. Rob Van Dam and Christie Hemme will be selling autographs at $20 (NZD I assume) and will be involved in a Q & A session. For more information go to pulpexpo.com.

WWE will be taping Friday Night Smackdown and ECW on Sci Fi tonight in Detroit, Michigan.

Scheduled for Friday Night Smackdown is WWE Tag Team Champions MVP & Matt Hardy vs. The Undertaker & Kane and more on the fallout from No Mercy involving Batista retaining the World Heavyweight Title and the feud between Finlay and Rey Mysterio.

There are no matches scheduled for the live broadcast of ECW on Sci Fi as of yet. The preview on ECW.com lists what will be the fallout from No Mercy when Big Daddy V took out ECW Champion CM Punk, if Tommy Dreamer will get back on track and the latest between Balls Mahoney and Kelly Kelly.

According to the Derby City Wrestling web site, Andrew Vain and Lupe Viscara have signed WWE developmental deals. DCW is owned and operated by Ohio Valley Wrestling's Danny Davis.

Several local Michigan wrestling students worked last night’s RAW tapings. The students were from Scott D’Amore’s Can-Am Wrestling School. Carlito defeated Conrad Carr (a/k/a Conrad Kennedy III) and Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin defeated Nate Madison (a/k/a N8 Matson) & Dave Glenn (a/k/a Gutter).

Cody Rhodes vs. “Hardcore” Bob Holly was announced for next week’s edition of RAW.

To update you on Ric Flair’s status in WWE, he has been pulled from his scheduled promotional appearance in Orlando, Florida on October 19th. The appearance was booked through World Wrestling Entertainment.

WWE Books will release Batista's autobiography next Tuesday, October 16th. From everything that we've heard, it's a good read and is controversial. Below is the official promotional blurb:

People around the world know Dave Batista as World Wrestling Entertainment's "the Animal," the rope-shaking, spine-busting World Heavyweight Champion, one of the most popular Superstars in recent years. The crowd turned Batista from heel to babyface after they were electrified by his awesome physique and physical wrestling style.

Few fans, however, know that Batista didn't join the profession until he was thirty years old -- an age at which many wrestlers are thinking about hanging up their boots. Nor do most fans know the tremendous toll the climb to the top has taken on Batista's personal life. While successfully staying away from hard drugs and -- usually -- liquor, he found sex too tempting to resist.

"Women were my drug of choice," the Animal confesses. That addiction cost him his marriage, destroying a relationship that had helped him climb from poverty to the pinnacle of sports entertainment in less than two years.

Now, in Batista Unleashed, the WWE Superstar comes clean about the choices he made and the devastating effects they had on his family. He talks about the injury that stripped him of his title -- an injury he blames on Mark Henry's carelessness. While being sidelined cost Batista untold hundreds of thousands of dollars in lost income, it also set the stage for a tremendous comeback that cemented the Animal's reputation as a true champion.

Batista talks about growing up in the worst part of Washington, D.C., where three murders occurred in his front yard before he was nine. He speaks lovingly about his mother -- a lesbian -- and how hard she worked to keep the family not just together but alive. He talks candidly about his own criminal past: a conviction on a drug charge and another, since overturned, on assault. He speaks of his days as a bouncer and a lifeguard, and tells how bodybuilding may have saved his life.

Once he made it to the WWE, Batista realized he wasn't really ready for the big time. His career seemed headed for a fall until Fit Finlay took him under his wing. But his real education came when he joined Evolution and rode with Triple H and Ric Flair, two of sports entertainment's all-time greats. Batista talks about what they taught him, and details some of their wild times on the road.

But the champ also reveals a kinder, gentler side. While his soft-spoken manner in the locker room has sometimes been misinterpreted as arrogance, in truth Batista's always been somewhat shy and quiet. Emotional by nature, he reveals for the first time that the tears fans saw at WrestleMania 21, when he won the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time, were very real. And he speaks movingly about his problems with his ex-wives and teenage daughters, and how it felt to become a grandfather.

While his straight-shooting mouth has occasionally gotten him into trouble -- most notably in a backstage confrontation with Undertaker after some remarks about SmackDown! -- Batista is his own harshest critic. He explains his early limitations as a wrestler and the work he has done to overcome them. Interspersing his memoir with accounts from life on the road, Batista lightens the narrative with a surprising sense of humor. An Animal in the ring, he reveals himself as an honest and even humble man in everyday life.

That's not a fair statement, because weren't there like some baseball games or something that night? Quality goes up, ratings go down. Good trade for the fans, bad trade for WWE..unless I'm right in thinking it was a fluke and those sports shows took away a bunch of viewers.

Also, I already voted twice for that Eve chick on the Diva Search Contest site. Anyone else vote? I usually don't bother with this sillyness, but she looked really hot in the promos and I'd like to see more of her in photoshoots...so yeah I'm gonna vote some more. tounge2.gif

In a backstage promo with Vickie Guerrero and Jamie Noble, leading to Vickie signing Noble vs. Khali next.

Great Khali beats Jamie Noble with the head squishie.

Jimmy Wang Yang defeated Deuce and was attacked and laid out by Deuce and Domino. Cherry even slapped Yang.

Rey Mysterio vs. Fit Finlay for the #1 contendership of the WWE World title went to a no contest after a chair was used. The lights in the arena went out and by the time they returned, both men were laid out in the ring. Undertaker was inside, making a motion with his hands for the belt, motioning to Batista, who was at ringside doing commentary.

ECW Results:

ECW Opener

The show opened with the announcement that ECW champion CM Punk would be facing John Morrison. Tazz wondered what Punk's physical condition was after the attack he sustained at No Mercy.

Big Daddy V made his way to the ring. They went to pre-taped comments from V, who said he showed Punk no mercy at the PPV and would do the same to Tommy Dreamer tonight.

Tommy Dreamer vs. Big Daddy V

Dreamer walked to the ring with a purpose. He and V locked up but V shoved him to the mat. He overpowered Dreamer and began mauling him against the ropes. V began stomping on Dreamer in the corner and stood atop of him, smothering the former ECW champion. V took down Dreamer with a back elbow. V hit a belly-to-belly suplex then continued to beat Dreamer. Dreamer backed up through the ropes to the floor, but V followed him to continue the assault. As they returned to the ring, Dreamer began hitting a flurry of offense. He went to the ropes but was caught and slammed down. V hit a running avalanche in the corner on Dreamer, then squashed him with a Samoan Drop. V hit the Abdullah the Butcher style elbow and scored the clean pin.

Your winner, Big Daddy V!

They announced The Miz vs. Balls Mahoney would take place later.

They aired a No Mercy video feature to promote the PPV replay.

They aired a commercial for the hysterical horror comedy Black Sheep. It's an absolute homage to Peter Jackson's Dead Alive.

Kevin Thorn vs. James Curtis

I am pretty sure Curtis is actually KC James and wow, he looks different with that haircut. Thorn attacked Curtis, who escaped and hit a missile dropkick. Curtis got some brief offense before being cut off with a clothesline. Thorn went right after Curtis' neck and head. They announced that WWE.com will announce CM Punk's challenger for Cyber Sunday tomorrow at noon. Thorn continued to work over Curtis. Thorn drives Curtis' shoulder into the ringpost. Thorn continued to pummel Curtis in the corner. Thorn went for a backbreaker but Curtis slipped and they fell. Thorn then hit the Original Sin for the pin.

They showed what happened last week between Kelly Kelly, The Miz and Balls Mahoney.

Backstage, Miz mocked Kelly for wanting to go out with Balls, asking what she saw in him. Hr asked her if something was wrong with her eyes and she said no. Miz said he was going to give her an eyeful to watch next.

They aired a video feature on The Condemned.

The Miz vs. Balls Mahoney

Kelly Kelly clapped for Balls as he came to the ring. Miz was cautious as he got into the ring. Balls went right after him but Miz pulled him hair to take him down. Mahoney hit a big elbow off the ropes. Mahoney worked over Miz with a series of rights and began working him over in the corner. Miz slipped under him and dropped Balls facefirst across the top turnbuckle. Miz snapped Balls' throat over the ropes. Balls made a comeback with a series of rights. He was going to go to the top and stopped to say something to Kelly, allowing Miz a chance to shove him off the apron and sending him into the ringside table. Mahoney wasn't able to get back into the ring in time and was counted out. Kelly checked out Balls at ringside to make sure he was OK. Miz grabbed the teddy bear Balls gave her and teased returning it, then punted it into the crowd. As Miz left, they showed a shot of Mahoney bleeding from the mouth.

Your winner, The Miz!

They aired a video feature on the returning John Morrison.

We caught up on the return of Shawn Michaels last night on Raw.

We then get a Cyber Sunday video feature. Man, there's a lot of video features. Couldn't they have given the ECW champion a promo or something?

ECW World champion CM Punk vs. John Morrison

As Morrison preened inside the ring, we saw footage of Punk being decimated by Big Daddy V from the PPV. The footage ends with a bloody and beaten Punk, so of course, he comes to the ring smiling and full of piss and vinegar. UGH. WWE creative just destroyed whatever sympathy they just built for him. Punk took off his shirt to reveal his ribs were taped.

Morrison went right after Punk's ribs. Morrison kept measuring and kicking at the ribs. Morrison locked on an abdominal stretch. Punk finally monkey flipped Morrison, then clotheslined him over the ropes. He went to the floor and tried to suplex Morrison on the ring steps. Morrison reversed it and dropped Punk ribs-first over the stairs. Morrison continued to work over Punk's ribs on the mat. The beating went on for some time. Morrison missed a charge in the corner and Punk hit a springboard missile dropkick, nearly slipping as he did it, which actually made sense given the "injury." Morrison was shot to the floor and nearly counted out. He returned to the apron, where he and Punk battled. Punk drilled him in the head with a kick. Punk slammed Morrison, but clutched his ribs. Punk nailed a leg lariat for a two count. Morrison came back with several kicks to the ribs and head but Punk kicked out of the pinfall attempt. Punk nailed an enziguiri, but was unable to get the three count. Punk was superplexed off the top and pinned.

Your winner, John Morrison!

Eh, nothing special on those 2 fronts as usual.

Unless there was a glitch (which happened the last time Raw dipped below a 3), there was Monday Night Football. That always takes viewers away from Raw, especially at the beginning of the season, when people haven't given up on their teams yet. Add to that a baseball playoff with the Yankees struggling to stay in it (which would affect the East Coast, as Raw ran during the time of the game, particularly in the nation's largest market), and it was obvious there was too much competition.

New York. Add to that the fact that there's a lot of Yankee fans not only in New York, but on the East Coast as a whole.

Anyway, I guess we'll find out if it was a one time only dip in the ratings when we get the next ratings on Monday.

Monday was not a fair judgement of how ratings for RAW will be now. Next week we shall see.

I expect a spike seeing as HBK is back.
