I'm not doing it. I refuse. I'll watch the remaining PPV's left as part of my subscription but I'm done with the tv shows. I'll be able to keep up with the results thanks to the Bruce reviews and other people.

Although initial rumours have it that Brock Lesnar will take the titles at Summerslam only for Rollins to cash in and this will setup a feud with Roman Reigns and not Dean Ambrose for the title, as Dean Ambrose could end up being the one to feud with Triple Hand not Reigns as initially thought. This would be set up as WWE are in talks to get The Rock involved for one last match against cousin Reigns at Wrestlemania 31, whilst Cena and Cesaro may well end up feuding off the back of the Brock Lesnar v Cena fallout.

 

Also in the mill in relation to CM "Keith" Punk, his contract which is up in July may not actually end in July as Vince McMahon may play hardball with Punk and extend the contract almost indefinitely until a conclusion has been reached. This is similar to what WWE did recently with Rey Mysterio's contract which was extended to make up for missing time due to injury and as Punk has been listed as injured as seen in the leaked Raw script from a few months back, this means until either Punk or WWE come out and make it official the ball could keep on rolling for an unknown length of time.

Rollins vs Reigns for the title could be good if Rollins can carry Reigns, but Rollins vs Ambrose could be an all time great 5 star classic. Cesaro jobbing to Cena is bad for business, and my sanity. I could see The Rock and Reigns gelling well at Wrestlemania, since they are cousins in all and Reigns works a similar style to The Rock, albeit much more simpler than The Rock's wrestling obviously, but The Rock himself started off less than stellar and became a good in ring worker, which makes me have some hope for Reigns as a worker.

 

As for the Phil Brooks situation, Vince McMahon looks a little vindictive in not letting CM Punk go and pursue whatever the hell he wants to do, it might be a wise business move, but at the same time it just looks a tad bit petty to me.

Look if they gave it to Cesaro last night then he would of had a nice short run with it (If the Brock rumors are true) In that time the WWE is going to lose much money because Cena isnt champion. The Cena fans would of still gone out and bought his sh*t and tuned into Raw etc. However now that they given it to Cena again a few people wont watch Raw now, I'm sure they lost subscriptions (well Shenmue's atleast) and I'm sure that wouldn't of happened if they gave it to anyone but Cena.

@Crokey That is true, Vince McMahon is known for being sort of a douche, especially when you piss him off or leave the company.

 

@Hodgey Cesaro winning would be making a new star, WWE doesn't do that obviously. Also they could have had a great main event between Cesaro and Lesnar instead of what'll likely be a poor match between Cena and Lesnar, and we all know that WWE also hates having good wrestling on their shows too.

Yeah... yeah he will, WWE's biggest demographic that brings in the money are "silent" fans, the ones who don't post about it left, right and centre on dedicated forums/blogs/topics etc. they aren't what are known as smart marks/marks/smarks they are the regular middle America Joe with lots of disposable income. The ones who bring in the money are those who don't invest emotionally in pro wrestling, they will watch it and will occasionally comment on Facebook and Twitter and be part of the "WWE Universe", but they don't dedicate themselves like smart marks/mark/smarks, but will pay money to watch it, they will buy the merchandise they have a "perfect" moral compass that to them sees John Cena as the wholesome clean cut, clean shaven, Marine type, patriotic, bah gawd he sh*t's the 4th of July for breakfast everyday he's that damn good. Those are the zombied cash cows that WWE milk for every last cent, they are like those idiots who que up for days to get the latest iPhone cause the main button is is no longer round but oval but will be charged an extra $50 for it... the lemmings basically.

 

That is what John Cena is, he's the iPhone for the WWE's Apple. he is a marketing tool used to bring in the money, that's why I have no problem with John Cena as he serves that purpose to bring in the money so the WWE can roll on. The downside to this is not John Cena's fault but rather creatives/booking fault in that they drastically need to get some focus on the gap between the mid-card and the top billing where they should build the next big stars to fill that gap at the top when the likes of Cena, Orton, the erstwhile CM Punk and now Daniel Bryan are for when they either leave, retire or are injured. Granted they've done it with Bryan, but he still needs a little more time to draw in the Lemmings I mentioned above, but they need to do this with a couple of the other guys, because the big issue is if these big stars were to suddenly be out of the picture then it would be hard for WWE to recover and it would be like that 1994-1996 period all over again where things were just dire... I mean Kevin "Diesel" Nash held the title for most of 1995... yeah that happened.

Hate to say it, but i couldn't agree more with this. No matter how much we moan or complain, your top man has to be marketable and be ab;le to bring in those greenbacks.

Aside from that, the only real upside i see for him winning it is that it shows how strong the roster is getting. Not just the title contenders but mid card also. Kinda reminds me of 80's WWF when you had a really strong roster from top to bottom. Hogan may have been champ, but you also had the likes of Mr. Perfect, Bret Hart, Roddy Piper, Jake the Snake, Macho Man etc Now, i'm in no way comparing the roster today to what they had then, but it's a lot more stronger than it has been in a long time.

 

But for tonight, leave us to hate on Cena for almost breaking Ric Flair's 16 world title reigns. That in itself deserves the torrent of abuse lol

I'd buy that more if Cena was up and coming and the silent fans weren't sure wheter they liked him yet, but he isn't. Cena fans for the most part are going to buy the merch, the PPV's etc etc if they know Cena is involved in some way. He doesn't have to be champion for that. Go ahead stick his face on the PPV posters, promote his merch etc more than any other wrestler but at this point he doesn't need to be a champion to sell that sh*t his brand name does that, not his wrestling ability. If he did have to be champ then how did WWE manage to survive 2014 so far? I dont understand were you are coming from though.
