Anyone have any idea who this "huge free agent" that TNA signed is?

Any guesses?

Please God don't let it be John Morrison, Shelton Benjamin or Chris Masters. Those people are all great, but Dixie billed it as a "MAJOR free agent" that'd have to be Stone Cold or Rock (GM/Authority Figure obviously) maybe Goldberg or Batista, but apparently they've both denied it.

It's probably going to be someone a lot smaller then what Dixie Carter is hyping up (Like Benjamin, Morrison or Masters.) but sh*t, I'd love to see Rock or Austin come on TNA and f*ck WWE's ratings up.

I'll post this here as well

Seriously, it's probably no one that big, although there is a lot of rumours going around that it's Christian as he's not been used for while in WWE and he has a 60-day inactivity clause or something like that.

Quick Cap of the week so far.

Raw - Very Meh

NXT - Excellent as always

Main Event - Still to catch up on although apparently it's average.

Also this is just WWE Logic at it's finest

Since his return to television earlier this year, Jack Swagger has been arrested for DUI and has put at least two superstars out of action, including the current World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler, but has faced no serious heat for his transgressions. Well now, he has apparently ruffled some feathers backstage for, get this, calling his spots too loudly. You don't need to be a lip reader or have particularly sharp hearing to see even some of the best pro wrestlers call their spots from time to time, but Swagger has apparently been doing it clearly enough of late to draw some attention.

lol.gif ... oh and it gets better for Mr Liability

You may have noticed that Jack Swagger was missing from this week's WWE televised action. The reason for this is because he wasn't allowed into Canada, where this week's shows took place, due to his February DUI arrest.

Seriously, I just do not get WWE Logic at times.

So someone who's a work horse, hasn't gotten in legal trouble, or much trouble in general and hasn't injured stars, like Antonio, Rhodes or Sandow don't get pushed while Jack Swagger who does all that gets pushed? WWE, I know you don't seem to be all there in the head these days with all this PG sh*t and what not, but still what the bloody f*ck is wrong with you?!!?!

Maybe it'll be someone who's the son of a legend, so their ancestry will draw people in.

Anyways, did any of you guys catch Smackdown, if so then how was it and is there anything that is worth checking out, or was it just another meh or lackluster show?

Overall it was average, nothing special but then not dull, it would however be worth checking out simply for Daniel Bryan's full on blow out at the end of the night when he basically cleared the ring of the Shield on his own, which was awesome.

Anywho, quick recaps of the week,

Raw - Was average, which is normal for Raw these days, Cena trying to get the crowd to chant "We want Tables" in the wrong tone and key was just plainly embarrassing and a lot of the crowd were pretty much bemused by it.

NXT - Was excellent and had some good matches on it, again this week was better than Raw by a long shot. Which is either sad that the developmental show is better than their flagship or it's great as this could be a sign of what's to come.

Main Event - Quite good, Sheamus v Barrett was awesome and got a good reaction from the crowd. Barrett's new music is quite annoying as it starts off good (apart from the whole God Save Our Queen bit), but then it blends into a flat punk track, and quickly deflates.

Superstars - Was ok this week, seems weird watching it without Mike McG being the staple.

Smackdown - See above view

Good Thing This Week - Bray Wyatt''s Promo's

Bad Thing This Week - John Cena's embarrassing Tables Chant.

I checked out the Daniel Bryan Shield destruction, I have to say that the was most entertaining thing I've seen in WWE in a looooooong time. They actually have someone who deserves it come out and look like a total f*cking badass. As opposed to a Cena or RyBack (RyBack's alright but hasn't earned it as he's a new guy, Bryan's been working in this business forever.)

If Eddie Guerrero and Chris Beniot were still alive today, how would WWE be different

PG Era might have never happened, even though a lot of it has to do with Linda McMahon and the whole p*ssy PC era we live in, but Benoit's death did play a role, and probably is a big reason why we have no more chair shots to the head, even though I very well could be wrong and maybe things regarding the PG thing would be the same.

Regarding Eddie, he probably would have had a WHC run and maybe feud with Cena as a heel, possibly another WWE Championship run, and maybe the whole steroid ban wouldn't have happened, it's sad to say that, but it really did take a huge WWE superstar like Eddie Guerrero dying for WWE to finally put their foot down on the roids issue.

Not to mention that a good handful of wrestlers like Batista and Kurt Angle, would still be with the company

Angle left before PG, that being said Batista would still be around, plus by now after nearly 5 years of this PG sh*t, there has to be some wrestlers that didn't sign with WWE because they don't like the PG idea, I know that in WWE the money is very high, but Batista was making a TON of money when he left, we're talking 1 or maybe even 2 million a year and split because of PG, there are some people that care more about enjoying working in their wrestling company or wrestling the way that like then making money.

Also, how many Monday Night Raw everyone? More sh*t or actually not terrible for a change?

Decent show except for the end.

Why does Cena bullsh*t always have to ruin everything.

And how the hell do you get counted out in a no DQ match? anuj_cop.gif

Daniel Bryan is currently the greatest worker in wrestling right now.

And TNA's mystery free agent signing is......

Rampage Jackson......

I really think we would see Cena be heel in non PG. He may have been face for a while but they finally wouldve realized. "It seems our fans might enjoy a non face sh*tty John Cena"

That's a smart move by TNA, Rampage is a big name mixed martial artist and a movie star.

Also, I don't think WWE has any idea what to do with Cesaro. Cena would be heel by now in TNA as they actually care about the fans and want to give them what they want, WWE however, doesn't give a f*ck.

Not seen Raw yet, but there is murmurings around WWE at the moment that suggest some of us fans might be getting what we want, strangely because of Trips, but probably only for a little while before the build up to Wrestlemania 30 kicks in, because of Vince. As Trips and Steph are apparently going to ease into taking over after Wrestlemania 30 as that has been Vinny's pet project for a number of years, so before the build up happens Vinny is letting Trips and Steph have a little try out.

Apparently WWE don't have a clear direction for John Cena at the moment and the WWE title, however there has been talk that the reaction that Bryan has been getting from the live crowds, the WWE Universe, the IWC and casual viewers might actually earn him a run with the big one later this year or even by the Summer.

On the Cesaro front, he lost the US title to Kofi who was only used as a go between to pass the title onto Ambrose as the WWE don't like the heel-to-heel title pass, Cesaro has been rarely seen on TV over the past few weeks and has apparently having a little time off, musings of WWE high-ups not liking him may actually be a work, similar to the work that they pulled off with Jericho before the end of last year when they said contract talks had broken down with him before everyone marked out when he turned up at The Rumble. The reason behind this is that WWE may be willing to pull to trigger on Cesaro and give him a title shot by first winning the MITB Red Case (they can work off the whole Swiss Flag thing being red as well, obvious is obvious). This means that we could get a title feud with Cesaro and Bryan which would be a total mark out for the IWC, as Bryan gets a reaction and Cesaro is the IWC favorite this could get a strong reaction from the crowd. In relation to the video up the way, as part of this they may be looking to have Cesaro 'become' German as using #WWELogic the audience (mainly the US audience) would see a German-esqe heel more heel-like than a Swiss.

As for Cena he'll be left in a sort of limbo, however there is talk they may revive the Punk/Cena angle (although they may put Punk in the WWE title picture with Bryan and Cesaro) or this may be a little more unlikely however this would 'cement' a legacy for Cena, they may even give the Intercontinental Championship a much needed boost by having Cena battle for that as for all his title wins, he has never held the IC belt once. From this Ryback may be switched over to the Blue Brand and go for the World Heavyweight Title in a tussle involving Ziggler, Del Rio and even Big E Langston, which ay look like this, Ryback-Heel, Ziggler-Heel, Del Rio-Face, Big E-Face.

As a side note, Orton may finally turn heel again, which may happen over the next month or so now that 12-Rounds: Reloaded has come out and he'll feud with Sheamus for Summerslam and beyond and may even lead to a huge Traditional Survivor Series match involving the two. Curtis Axel may also get involved in the WWE Title picture however there is talk he'll continue to feud with Triple H for the foreseeable future until they can get a better gauge on the crowd reaction before pulling a trigger.

Meanwhile the mid-cards will continue to sit in Creative Hell until the high ups decide what the hell they are doing with Creative... simple WWE, let the talent off the ball and chain a little and let them freestyle and get a creative team in and stick with them for while.

EDIT: Also The Wyatt Family, or rather Harper and Rowan may be heading into a feud with Tons of Funk to start off with however Bray Wyatts future has been kept very much under wraps, although a possible feud with The Miz may be likely, and as part of the Wyatt Family, they may push Maddox and DiBiase into the mix as well as 'followers'

Hmm, some interesting news there Gareth, hopefully all of the speculation about Bryan and Cesaro is true and those two get the huge pushes that they deserve, it's about time for Cena to finally move over and let some other people get pushed. I'm tired of Monday Night Cena, it needs to be like it was in the Attitude Era, one night it was Rock in the main event, then Stone Cold, then Angle, then Jericho, then HHH, then Taker, instead of Cena main eventing every single time.

BIG NEWS FOR DANIEL BRYAN:

Quote from Dave Meltzer from the member's only Wrestling Observer Newsletter

For those who think the company doesn't see Bryan as a main-eventer, right now the penciled in main event for Money in the Bank on 7/14 in Philadelphia is Cena vs. Bryan, with Bryan not being a heel, as the title match...

This is great news for Daniel Bryan, hopefully that bitch Cena doesn't bury him like he always does with talent and Bryan gets his first WWE title win CLEAN.

I would proper mark out like a giddy kid, if Bryan went over Cena in 17 seconds... actually 16 seconds it sounds better as a chant.

That would be a great day, but if Daniel Bryan beats Cena at all I'd be happy, but we all know Bryan is going to be forced to job to the talentless piece of f*cking sh*t and all of us are going to hate the WWE even more as they bury Bryan to Cena.

Also, just a heads up to everyone, Billy has been temp banned for 1 or 2 weeks (I think 2.) because of something he said that a mod thought was disrespectful or rude.

Also Swagger may be out for a while with a hand injury... WHOAH WHOAH WHOAH... don't cheer too loudly, rumour has it he either kicked his own hand, cause he's a clumsy oaf, or he let his blunt burn down a little too close to his hand.
