I'm hopeful that they won't screw up the go home show this time, but then I'm not holding my breath on it, but it has been a quiet week in WWE, so you never know they might suddenly turn it.

 

EDIT: It's not Booker that's turning heel it's supposed to be Teddy Long, the rumour has it that he's going to turn heel and then Booker is going to take over Raw and this will be the start of bringing back the brand split, hence the sneaky poll on the WWE site about bringing back the draft. This also might be tied in with trying to find a network for NXT in America so they can include NXT in this draft as well.

If you're talking about Trevor from GTA V, judging by his personality I doubt he's going to be homosexual, as interesting as that would be to have a homosexual character in GTA V.

 

Also, that'd be awesome to see Booker and Teddy bring back the WWE draft, wonder if that would mean we'd see the brand split back in action again. If so they'll probably put a big name on Smackdown.

 

EDIT: I watched Josh Matthews' own Michael Cole on the whole Cena ass kissing thing that him and Jerry do and it was great!

 

 

 

 

 

For once, they finally have a commentator that doesn't suck Cena's dick and points out that Cole and Lawler do.

He does have a concussion, it's up in the air whether or not he'll be at Extreme Rules, WWE has yet to confirm or deny whether Ziggler is up to wrestle. I swear to God, if they make him drop the title due to injury, Vince, I'll kill you.

I watched the first hour and a half then went to bed. Didn't even watch the 6 man tag. Feels like they're running out of ideas with that storyline of involving The Shield in the Cena Ryback fued. Hoping for a decent Extreme Rules.

Apparently Shield Lost (DQ though) John Cena eliminated Seth Rollins, then the eliminated Rollins attacked Cena and teamed up on Cena 3 on 1, which Cena actually mounted some offense (Yes, Cena finally was able to bury Shield.) but ended up getting triple powerbombed, looked like a God awful show to me.

Derrick Bateman - Not surprised, as he's still quite green and needs more ring time, so he'll probably end up in TNA for a while then may work his way back

Briley Pierce - Surprised at this one, I was really hoping for a Hart family style rivalry with big brother Ziggles. I'd love to see him back

Sakamoto - Not that surprised, WWE doesn't really know what to do with Asian wrestlers, plus when Tensai turned face it squash all trace of a master/pupil feud

Audrey Marie - Only just got back from injury, but then again the WWE doesn't care about the Diva's

Percy Watson - Not surprised, bit of a square peg, round hole, plus he's too much like Shelton Benjamin that he'll always be compared and would probably ruin him

Brandon Traven - Not seen any of him, so I can't comment

Some news and rumours of interest. Christian is rumored to be back in action possibly on Raw next Monday after Extreme Rules, although I wouldn't rule out an appearance at the PPV. There was rumour of John Morrison returning to WWE a while back however it went suddenly quiet on that front, however The Miz name dropped him twice on Main Event, which is leading to speculation he too might be back sooner rather than later, especially as WWE don't really like mentioning people who aren't in contract or in the legends/Hall of Fame status, plus there was a recent article on the WWE website with him and he's sporting the WWE logo on his twitter page.

 

There is speculation about the status of Cesaro at the moment, as some of the higher ups are apparently apathetic about him whilst others are high on him, however this is fueling speculation that it's actually a work by WWE and that they are creating a calm before the storm with Cesaro before building up to a possible Money In The Bank win. I f*cking hope so, Cesaro is a bloody goldmine for WWE and would be dumb to screw him over.

 

Although there has been releases from NXT there is also talk that some of the NXT guys could be called up very shortly as well, with The Wyatt Family getting the nod as well as Kassius Ohno and Adrian Neville, the other possible is Bo Dallas, however there is a sense that he might remain in NXT for a little while longer as his reception in the main shows against notably Barrett were quite flat. The Wyatt Family could possibly be promoted as a tweener stable and feud with both faces and heels to get a feel before settling either side of the fence, likely to be heels. Ohno is rumored to be getting either of the following, a face (unlikely just now), as a tag partner to Cesaro (they were The Kings of Wrestling in the indies) or as the rumored 4th member of The Shield. Neville meanwhile could be promoted and possibly start a slight revival in the cruiser/middle weight division along with the likes of Sin Cara, Justin Gabriel, Evan Bourne (on return), Tyson Kidd (on return from injury), Kofi Kingston, Primo, Epico, Tatsu and Rey Mysterio. There are a number of other possibles in NXT however with WWE keen to find a network in the US to show it later this year, there is a possibility that some of upper card NXT stars will remain there for a while (like Dallas) in order to gain popularity and then draw an audience to the show once a network takes it on.

I've only got Superstars and Smackdown to catch up on this week. Raw was meh, NXT was great as always, Main Event was so-so, I'll cap 'em all later.

 

And no I've not heard anything on Silva, he's probably working the NXT house shows in Kissimmee, FL first before he gets a call up to the main NXT shows at Full Sail University where they do the main NXT shows. When you look at most of the NXT roster a lot of them haven't even been on screen yet.

 

Predictions time for Extreme Rules

 

HHH vs. Brock Lesnar (Steel Cage Match for... erm... The Lulz)

-Nothing but pride is a stake and although Triple H is an Egomaniac, Lesnar will win with what maybe a mutual respect win, so no-one loses out long term.

 

John Cena vs. Ryback (For the WWE Title - Last Man Standing)

-Hoping Ryback will finally get a PPV win, but no doubt Cena will resort to effng Gaffa taping Rybacks legs to a buffet of food.

 

The Shield (Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins) vs. Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan & Kane) (Tag Title Tornado Match)

-I'm thinking Hell No's long run with the title might come to an end with this one, however as a result The Uso's might get a long awaited push to feud with The Shield.

 

Alberto Del Rio vs. Jack Swagger (I Quit match for the #1 Contenders for the WHC)

-Since Thwagger is a clumsy oaf and knocked Ziggles out of this and WWE were to scared to let Big E take his place as a representative, I'll be going for Del Rio, simply because all the talk has been of Del Rio "being not far from the WHC scene in 2013" as WWE put it.

 

Dean Ambrose vs. Kofi Kingston (US Title No Stipulation so far)

-Ambrose may go for this, only because it may unite Kofi and The Uso's as a three way team to feud with The Shield

 

Randy Orton vs. The Big Show (Extreme Rules match)

-Tough one to call, but I'll probably edge towards Big Show

 

Sheamus vs. Mark Henry (Strap Match)

-Sheamus will probably edge it and will probably almost noose drag Henry around the ring, as recent talk in a slight change in Sheamus's direction is afoot, he'll remain face but become more edgier apparently

 

Chris Jericho vs. Fandango (No Stipulation so far)

-Fandango again will pip Jericho, cause Jericho is awesome at letting the new guys go over and I suspect Johnny C will pull off a good match

 

Cody Rhodes vs. The Miz (No Stipulation so far, aka a just cause match, aka because WWE can't bothered to put the AJ v Kaitlyn match on the preshow instead match)

-Probably The Miz, because... The Miz.

 

Again no Cesaro

Why is WWE too scared of put in Biggy Langton as a rep for Ziggles

1) They don't think he's got enough support either way yet in the main roster.

2) Most likely the plan would be for Ziggler to retain the title, so Big E doing it instead would mean by WWE logic Big E and Ziggler would have to feud

3) He might actually have got 'over' with the crowd and again by WWE logic they would have to bring forward his push too soon

4) Being that high up on a ladder with the attire he seems to wear for the main roster (why he doesn't wear his NXT gear which are short based and he has knee pads on which look better), WWE would be concerned we'd see all his breakfast.

5) If WWE are clueless about Cesaro then f*ck knows how they'll cope with Big E

 

Anywho, I'll do full caps on the weeklies tomorrow, however Superstars was actually quite good this week, Smackdown was meh.

-Natalya v Summer Rae - Summer Rae is getting better and better in the ring, unfortunately they need a few more Divas in NXT before they promote her and Paige up to the top ranks, although I want Paige first. After a good match up Summer Rae takes the win with a quick roll up after the distraction from Paige who chases Summer out the ring

-First Promo with El Genrico... sorry Sammy Zayn, who is a fully fledged Indie darling, who comes across as a really nice guy... but I'm guessing with the punny name they've given him he'll turn into a psycho in the ring.

-Bray Wyatt v Danny Burch - Bray is in fully fledged Texas Chainsaw Massacre mode with a leather apron and face mask, this will work well in the main roster, as long as they keep his music. Bray takes the win over Londoner Burch, who showed some glimpses of stuff in was ultimately a squash match for Bray. After the win and Brays music was playing some of the crowd started an arm waving thing which would look awesome in a big arena.

-Backstage segment with Bo Dallas and Adrian Neville, in which to me was sowing the seeds of Bo turning heel. Neville was looking at him like he was a complete douche, and came across as the most natural.

-Conor O'Brien v Sakamoto and Briley Peirce - O'Brien took out the two recently "Future Endeavored" guys in a squash match, afterwards O'Brien was looking ramp side as a weird looking guy with blackened eyes and atomic goggles around his neck stood looking on, so it's either a competitor for O'Brien or a new member of the Ascension. Guy looks well freaky.

-Backstage interview with Corey Graves saying he's entering the Battle Royal in 2 weeks for the #1 contendership, Bray is also there and mentions the beat down he gave Ohno which means he could now be face.

-Big E Langston v Damien Sandow - Good match up this one, Sandow was awesome and Big E is in full NXT face mode and has a great rapport with the crowd, would be great to see this in the big shows. Big E wins and retains the NXT Title and does his usual 5 count with Sandow after the match.

 

 

-Kane v Rollins - Good lengthy battle which Kane was dominant for most of it, and did eventually win only by DQ after a sure pin was disturbed Ambrose. Post match beat down is stopped by The Uso's which might mean that creative finally have balls to give The Uso's some time and maybe put them in a feud with The Shield.

-Sin Cara v Barrett - Cara wins which apparently means by WWE logic that if you've been out for a while due to self Botch-ulitis then win a match against the IC champion makes you number one contender.

-Rhodes v Gabriel - Good match in which "No Gimmick Cody is Good Cody" wins against a technically gifted Gabriel.

 

 

-Sin Cara v Mike McG - Mike McG was all over Sin Cara in this one yet Cara won after a luchadore style Swanton bomb

-Rhodes v Alex Riley - OMG Riley got some air time, I guess John Cena wasn't in the building at that point. Great match this and considering it was on Superstars should have been on one of the big 3 shows and probably would have been purred over by the casual watchers. Riley was very dominant throughout and shows why he is a great prospect and could be a real face of the company in years to come... but then if Cena's still around then he could well be screwed. Rhodes won after a disaster kick.

 

 

-Miz TV opens the show with Randy Orton then Big Show then Swagger then Del Rio then Mark Henry then Sheamus who clears the ring... yep you guessed it Teddy Long is in the building and there was six people in the ring... playa playa.

-The Shield (Reigns/Rollins) v The Uso's - A taster of the future maybe, The Shield win and afterwards a post match beat is in play then Kofi comes to the rescue with a steel chair.

-Damien Sandow says there should be a Damien Sandow Show instead of MizTV... yes please, I'd vote for that.

-Tons of Funk v PTP - Rematch in which ToF win simple and straight forward.

-Jericho v Cesaro - Ceasro may be in the creative black hole, but at least he's getting quality opposition like Jericho. Good back and forth although Jericho did have more edge, but that is probably due to the "it's all business" attitude he adopted after Raw. Jericho won this with a Walls of Jericho and nearly got blindsided by Fandango but Jericho's long in the tooth for that and gave Cesaro a code breaker for the hell of it.

-The Miz v Sandow - The Miz won because reasons.

-Kaitlyn v Aksana - Kaitlyn won with a spear

-Show/Henry/Swagger v Orton/Sheamus/Del Rio - You do you think won this one.

-Sheamus/Orton v PTP - Bookies stopped take odds on this one long ago it was that obvious.
