This was not a good week for wrestling, Impact was below average, Raw sucked and SmackDown was apparently average.

Apparently they're taping Raw right now, I'm trying to avoid all spoilers as I want to actually watch the show tonight since I know the crowd will probably be pretty awesome, sad that WWE nowadays is so God-awful and predictable that I'm looking forward to see the crowd's reactions instead of the actual show.

My recording of RAW f*cked up, what happen in the time between The Brotus's match and the diva battle royals

Do you mean Brodus Clay vs Damien Sandow?

Between that was Jericho vs Ziggler (Ziggles won), Cody Rhodes vs Sweet T (Sweet T won confused.gif) RyBack Interview and Big E Langston squashing Zack Ryder, The Shield vs Taker and Team Hell No (Shield Wins) A Mick Foley and a RyBack interview, then the battle royale.

How'd the shield win

Daniel Bryan f*cked up

Cena vs Ryback at ER. I wonder who will win that one sigh.gif

The Walrus opens the gig claiming that Mr Levesque (I guess we're on surname terms) isn't going to be there... Oh looks like he lied he is, didn't see that one coming turn.gif . One pedigree later the match is official. Is it just me or is Triple H boring as f*ck with his short hair, sounds tenuous to put it that way but it's true.

R-Truth v Antonio Cesaro

-Truth comes out and for some reason the crowd are up for it... bloody cockneys, easily amused, so was Cole, yeah really. Thank you Cesaro coming out and... oh wait... oh hell no, da fuq it's that yodeling sh*t again. Right apparently Cesaro dropped the belt to Kofi as Creative don't have anything for him, I've got to words for creative "f*ck off", they apparently don't have anything for Christian either... simple, Cesaro v Christian for the US title, but I suppose it's too late for creative to think sensibly now that, that particular horse has bolted. Cesaro v Christian would have been great as they are quite evenly matched. Anywho got p*ssed off with this match for this reason, plus Truth won by weak finish... WWE... Son, you disappoint.

The Shield arrive by chopper... different

Brodus Clay v Damien Sandow

-Sandow got a good pop from the crowd, including his biggest fan in the crowd lol.gif. The crowd were lively tonight, not quite post WM29 Raw standards but still lively enough, Cody's Mustache, Albert, JBL, Fandangoing chants all present throughout the night. Thankfully Sandow got a win for change, made up for that opening stupidity.

Nice backstage segment with Ziggler and AJ, with AJ particularly on fire with her expressions, yeah I'm jealous Ziggler hooking up with her, even though it's kayfabe.

Then a bit about Punks promo last week, supposed they have to mention it only cause it happened last week but he might be gone until May/June time, so I hope they don't milk that.

The Shield make themselves known and cut a good promo about The Undertaker.

Jericho v Ziggler - Extreme Rules Qualifier for Jericho

-These two really do work well, Jericho gets wrestling and it's pecking order and it's unwritten code of passing torches, and Ziggler can sell sand to the Arabs and snow to Eskimos, glad he's finally the WHC champ, he should be given a shot at the WWE title and beat Cena. Great match as always with the distraction by Fandango's music giving Ziggler the win in a great back and forth match.

Backstage bit with Foley, doing the usual butter up of the locals and then giving his opinion of Ryback and the whole angle.

Rhodes v Sweet-T

-Not a bad match, Tensai is finally loosening up and showing off his Japanese skills that he picked up, he's an agile son of a gun when he gets going. Not a bad match in which Tensai won after his splash. Although he needs to quieten down his breathing.

Backstage bit with Hell No, in which they got a take down by The Shield, although we never seen them and the conspiracy theories are going around that it was new members of The Shield as we only seen their feet.

Ryback gives his angle on the feud, I'll give my views on this one later

Big E Langston v Zack Ryder

-Right, WWE you did it right last week when you brought his NXT theme with him and now you've cocked it up with this new tune, it's crap, I've been critical of themes before, but they've grown on my and I could see why, but this has no energy and no Boom!, it's dreadful and should be stopped and reverted back to before. Anywho squash match, which didn't get much of a reaction, but then when Big E's theme was bodged it's not surprising.

The Bro's of Destruction and The Goat v The (Hell)Hounds of Justice

-Great match and certainly the best of the night, The Undertaker looked in better condition that he did at Wrestlemania, I had thought this might be a loss for The Shield, but it wasn't they did win thanks to a quick move by Ambrose from Bryan's top rope goat head butt. But the overall match was dominated by Taker, Kane and Bryan and I would have loved it if they got Bryan to pull off a 'Resurrection' thing but they didn't. Would like to see some of The Shield boys go solo... oh wait, look out for Smackdown wink.gif

Backstage we go again with Foley having a chat with Cena, who got roundly booed

Fandango v Good 'ol Billy Regal

-Now Fandango came out with Summer Rae (from NXT) and they ruined this, from my point of view that is, the whole match and build up and afters was good, what ruined this was that WWE missed a huge opportunity to be able promote two Diva's. Summer Rae has had a beef with British lass Paige in NXT, who is also a friend of Regal. Regal should have come to the ring with Paige and the two could have gone at it, it would have promoted Paige (who would have got a huge pop from the locals) and Summer Rae. Afterwards once things have calmed down the planned segment with Jericho could have proceeded as usual. Anywho good little dance from Regal, which only us Brits would have got (Morcombe and Wise), and Regal being the pro he is went over for Johnny Curtis. So I'm guessing a good match at Extreme Rules is on the cards for these two.

Diva's Battle Royal for #1 Contenders

-Not bad, but the commentary was better with Kaitlyn inlove.gif putting the rest of them in place for most of it, although a great self deprecating joke by King was good. AJ inlove.gif jumping on Tamina at the start... I thought they were going to go for the Mickie James Lesbian angle for a second there... giggity, giggity. Obvious result in that the feud with AJ and Kaitlyn has been building up for a while... WWE you're spoiling me.

In ring promo now from Foley, Ryback, Cena and The Shield. To be honest I'm not up for the way they're building this angle, it's crap, Ryback is better than this shtick, adding Foley into the mix to me was kinda pointless, although it goes back to the build up of the Ryback/Punk angle from last year and Cena is just poor in this. To put it in acting terms, they're trying to get Cena to do serious, it's like when you see Jim Carrey doing serious, it doesn't work, you expect a funny, they're trying to get Ryback to do more mic work too quickly, it would be like seeing Schwarzenegger trying to do Shakespeare, and the whole Shield angle is just being used a tool to help prop the feud up which doesn't have the legs to hold itself up.

A Cena/Ryback feud could be good, to me it could be a new version of the Hogan/Warrior matches from way back, but then it was two faces and they kept them faces, in this case as with lots of feuds they are trying to turn one heel as they have this idea that we don't get the idea that two faces can't feud, when they can... it's two heels that can't feud as that's just awkward.

Heads up, Smackdown looks awesome this week, especially The Undertaker v Dean Ambrose... oh hell yeah.

Smackdown does look awesome. Del Rio vs Swagger in a no DQ match is going to be interesting even though we have seen this match a couple of times before but the last time these two met in the ring they pulled off a great match. I'm going to say Swagger will pick up the win since he has lost to Del Rio a couple of times before plus I can see him going on a winning streak going into ER.

The Undertaker vs Ambrose will be good. I can see The Undertaker winning but Rollins and Reigns will come out at the end and attack the deadman which means Hell No will come out and fight them off.

Just my predictions which will probably be wrong lol.gif

Unless you were in the arena, or work for WWE no ones seen it yet, besides he said predictions, which may be good ones... ph34r.gif ... or may be not monocle.gif

It is looking more and more like newly crowned #1 contender AJ Lee and Divas champion Kaitlyn will be having a match at May's Extreme Rules pay per view, with Lee likely coming away with the title. The idea is to turn she and World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler into WWE's new "power couple." Previous rumors suggested that Ziggler would get at least a modest title reign, eventually heading into a feud with Randy Orton.

Ziggler and Orton, now that I could see work well, provided they turn them both face and heel respectively, or turn them both as part of feud.

Championship Special All Titles on The Line - Well since this is taped we know the results already

Antonio Cesaro v Adrian Neville - US Title

-Well as this was taped a few weeks back before WWE decided that the US title was actually meaning something so they take it from Toni confused.gif. This was a great match Adrian Neville was on fire throughout this match and pairing him against Cesaro was a good call as they have both been Indie darlings in their time and it showed with some of the moves that were getting pulled off. Neville actually dominated most of the match and if this was on the main roster I don't think anyone would have been as p*ssed off with Cesaro dropping the title if it was a match like this. There was a moment it might have all gone wrong as a standing sunset flip turned into a nasty looking pile driver on Cesaro, but they pulled it off and he kicked out. After being dazed Cesaro pulled it back and got Neville with an uppercut on the top rope and turned it into a neutralizer.

AJ v Kaitlyn inlove.gif x2 - Diva's Title

-Great match and it's nice to see AJ actually wrestling again, clearly hanging out with Ziggler is rubbing off on AJ as she pulled off some great sells and moves, including a classic Head Stand Show Off move, well it was back hammer arm bar which she turned into a bridge, lovely move. If this is a preview to the Extreme Rules match between these two, it should be a good match, which it should be considering they are the two tops Divas in the division. Kaitlyn gets the win with an out of nowhere spear.

Big E Langston v Brad Maddox... Brad Maddox - NXT Title

-Seriously Brad Maddox is great his self announcing entrance stating he's "295lbs Chiseled" and introducing himself as Braaaaad Maddox... Brad Maddox, similar to Mr Kennedy's thing a number of years ago, excellent. No contest as it was pure squash match for Big E, and he gets to pull off his 5 count thing with the crowd shouting "one more time" for Big E to do his big ending. There is rumour that they might turn Big E face, probably along with Ziggler and AJ and as a result WWE might try and get him to do the 5 count thing then.

Bo Dallas v Wade Barrett - Intercontinental Championship

-Great gutsy match from both Bo Dallas and Wade Barrett, with Barrett getting quite a reaction from the crowd, which isn't surprising considering it's held in Orlando and Orlando does have a large British population. It was very even throughout and there was some tough fighting moves from both sides, although Barrett maybe had the extra edge. Barrett got the win after a bull hammer on Dallas when he jumped off the top rope.

I can't understand why WWE aren't showing this on prime time instead of the next show...

...This was crap this week, seriously crap, not due to the crowd this week either, it was the whole show from scripting, to matches, just dull.

Anywho JBL is in the ring to introduce Mark Henry, in what turns out to be a Gauntlet show for Henry, the whole shtick is Henry can beat 3 guys and JBL goads him into 4, blah blah blah

1st - Jimmy Uso

-Squash

2nd - Jey Uso

-Squash

3rd - Santino

-Went a big longer but still a squash, even though Santino got him with the Cobra.

4th - Khali

-Stop the Press, Khali actually wrestled, still was a crap match, but Khali won it as Henry gave up and walked off.

Zeb Coulter came out to talk a load of sh*te, didn't really take in what he said cause by this time the show was sending me to sleep.

Talking of Zeb he looked a little younger back in 1995 (on the right)

The Wrestling industry is going to sh*t as of late, sh*tty PPVs with predictable outcomes, storyline that involve a heel group beating the crap out of everyone of the roster, company's stealing each other story lines.

Oh and Gareth you lying prick, Smackdown was sucked big time this week, the Shield are skating on thin ice if they think The Deadman will just lay down, although a nice touch to hinting Randy Heel turn

Dude, spoiler tags.

Also someone seems to be a bit cranky.

The wrestling as of late reminds me of the 1st season of Game of Thrones [great show, seriously just watch

and tell me this show doesn't look any good, if you haven't watched it yet ;p] but it had some disappointing outcomes, some were predictable. However it really improved in the next seasons, hopefully the same will happen with WWE in their People/Reality/Pgattitude/PGv1.5 or whatever era.

Back to our point, if WWE choose the predictable outcome, people will complain about how boring and predictable WWE is. If they choose the unpredictable outcome, people will complain about how poor the booking is, and how "the creative lack creativity" on their storylines.

@Prome: I've gotten used to billy's angryiness, it's kinda cute in a way.

As for the WWE's predictability, it's been reflected in the provisional buy rates for Wrestlemania, as buy rates have steadily increase year on year for over a decade now, the provisional buy rate for WM29 is flat compared to last year and could even be down, although bums on seats were up, the PPV buy rates were flat.

The hope is in that over the next year or so, that the changes in creative, the effects of the NXT roster and subsequent promotions, and also tempting back some old faces to boost fans from a few years back, will start to have an effect on the product. To be honest it's kind of like WWF was back in the mid 90's, it was quite flat with no real direction, a little shake up later and we had the Attitude Era, not that we'll get it back again as WWE seem to back off from it every time it's mentioned and we don't have viable competitor like WCW to create competition.

I watched Raw this week for the first time live since the pre-Mania show, and my God it was just awful. Everything besides The Undertaker, Daniel Bryan and Kane vs The Shield was just soooooooo bad. RyBack's promo with Foley was okay, but Cena coming out and stealing the spotlight like he always did ruined it and then having to help RyBack and be the little pg BITCHBOY instead of letting him get beat down and having a tiny bit of edge to his stale character pissed me off. Now Cena is going to bury RyBack at Extreme Rules by using his 4 moves of doom to beat the monster heel. F*CK YOU CENA, CENA SUCKS!

What's the point of bringing back the draft when they don't have the brand extension?

I'll just quote that three times inlove.gif

What's the point of bringing back the draft when they don't have the brand extension?

Rumour has it they might well bring it back and also include NXT in the draft as a way of promoting fresh faces into the main roster.

Really can't be bothered to review the rest of the shows this week n full, so I'll keep it brief.

Superstars

Jimmy Uso v Mike McG

-Not bad, Mike McG is looking better. Jimmy Won.

Kaitlyn inlove.gif & Layla v Tamina and Aksana

-Quite good. Kaitlyn got the win.

Smackdown

Del Rio v Swagger

-Best match they done so far, but was still poo as Swagger doesn't get me hyped at all. Swagger won

Aksana v Layla

-Good match, Aksana is getting better, Layla won.

Fandango v Gabriel

-Good match, not excellent but good. Fandango won and had to stop him self smiling due to the pop. PS Cole, JBL and Josh it's Summer Rae, jeez they're supposed to be in the know and they didn't even know her name confused.gif

Big Show v Sheamus

-Yawn, Big Show won

Wade v Regal

-Too short this one considering it's a hometown crowd they should have milked this, Barrett won.

Mark Henry v Randy Orton

-Dull, Henry won due to DQ after Sheamus kicked him.

Undertaker v Dean Ambrose

-Excellent match, Ambrose tapped out to Taker so he won, then The Shield got the payback by doing the triple powerbomb, which to me seems like a poke the bear move, I would expect Taker to get some sort of revenge.

Saturday Morning Slam

Khali/Swoggle/Natty inlove.gif v The Colons and Rosa

-Meh, Khali was involved so fairly boring, they won.

Rhodes Scholars v The Uso's

-Not bad, Sandow was the star of this one, mainly due to his over the top facial expressions when he got pinned, think Patrick Starfish.
