Rumor has its that Ryback has said he want to face the deadman at WM XxX

Rumour has it that he said he wants to? Sorry, but unless it's not Taker's last match, it's not happening. Plus I'd take a Lesnar/Taker No DQ match over Ryback any day of the week.

 

In fact, I don't want to see Ryback vs Taker on WM. Seriously, these are the legend's last matches, and knowing WWE and their creative team it's going to be quite a predictable match - and if they decide that Ryback is going to break the streak, then they'd be making the biggest mistake they've ever done. Any other event, I'd love to see the match.

 

@Blackout: Have they mentioned what he'll be doing? a promo or something specific?

Hmm I read He was upset with Creative.

 

I read he didn't come out on the post-Mania Raw because he had problems with creative wanting him to look like a whiner.

Well to be honest, Punk's always had issues with Creative, so that wouldn't surprise me, but the main thing is that the time off is for injuries.

 

 

Also someone's been closing his billed 290lbs weight to feud with Lesnar...too bad it's not going to happen on ER. Instead we get yet another rematch of HHH and Lesnar.

 

Anyways can't wait for next week's main event. Loved the names the WZ.com members gave to Hell No and Taker - "The Brothers of Destruction and the Goat of Destruction" and my favorite, "Two and a half Men"

But on the subject of The Brothers of Destruction and The Goat of Destruction, I would love to see one of three things happen this Monday when they face The Shield.

 

First, I would love to see at the end of match (PS the bell hasn't gone so still legal), Kane and Bryan have been sidelined and probably scattered all over the announce table (even though the Spanish announce table isn't there) and The Shield pull off their Triple Power Bomb on The Undertaker and act all fly and then the Undertaker does his resurrection thing starts the comeback.

 

Second, Bryan is getting pummeled in the ring and either one of the Shield (Ambrose would be best due to his expressions) do a finishing maneuver on Bryan, he stands up and looks at the rest of The Shield looking all smug, meanwhile Kane and Taker hold their hands out towards Bryan and look like their doing some sort of summoning... Bryan does the resurrection thing and Ambrose and the boys are stunned into silence and the crowd marks out, match goes on and The Bro's and Goat win it.

 

Third, there is a melee in the ring and the Bro's and Goat all get a beat down and all three are lying spark out with The Shield looking all smug... all three do the Resurrection thing and then go onto win in.

 

Option 2 would be my personal favorite as it would be like a welcome to the brotherhood Daniel Bryan.

The problem with the IWC is that they would love Wrestlemania to be a 4 hour Iron Man match between CM Punk and Daniel Bryan with Chris Jericho pleasuring himself in the corner of the ring

 

Myself, I hated the way he left but not him himself, I like Dave he's a beast in the ring, if he does return a match against Brock Lesnar would be a great match, I would imagine that would be a great Wrestlemania 30 match, if they can pull it off (or read that as being if Vince and Dana stopped bitching) then a MMA/Wrestling match at Wrestlemania would be sweet. Rumour at one point was that WWE wanted to try and pull off an WWE style Octagon for the Brock Lesnar v Triple H match at Summerslam last year, so perhaps they might pull it off for WM30.

Aces and Eights ruined Impact yesterday, I know the point is to make you hate them and for them to ruin matches but, that's a sh*tty idea to get new viewers.

 

Also Ryda might be permanently banned, I'm not sure how it works though, I could see him not wanting to come back after the ban expires anyways. Also, how do you tell who the topic's top posters are?

The interfered in WAY to many matches last night. Bully Ray's "Do you know who I am" didn't help either. It seems they're doing the whole "AJ vs A&8" angle, similar to Sting and the NWO.

 

Tonights Smackdown was average- Del Rio vs Swagger's was a pretty good match.

Anyways, TNA made me wonder, if I ever have the money, I can buy a wrestling company, have a brief war with TNA till it becomes the 2nd best, set up WWE by drugging its roster so they join my wrestling federation, have Andre's grandson and brand-nWo, force WWE to create yet another attitude era, then start losing the ratings war and money, go bankrupt and sell the company to Mr. Helmsley [or Vince if he's still alive]? Maybe, just maybe, if I have the money, I may do that.

 

...back to watching WCW.

Also it seems that WWE is still negotiating with RVD. This reminds me of how close they got to Sting to set up a match with him and Taker in WM27...the replacement was, well, I think you guys know enough about it.

So I was flicking through some old stuff I had laying around and I chanced upon one of those little nuggets, now it may be a coincidence which if it is, is damned good, but I do wonder if it was actually done as a little nod.

 

Anywho recently we've been very familiar with the Wrestlemania 29 logo it's been shoved down our throats for months but in case you forgot here it is again.

 

 

Now that is for Wrestlemania 29 which came from The Metlife Stadium, right next door across the parking lot to what is now known as The IZOD Center, scene of one of the best episodes of Raw probably ever, the day after Wrestlemania. But the stadium and the centre were not always known as The Metlife Stadium and The IZOD centre, The Metlife is the replacement for Giants Stadium and the IZOD centre was once known as The Meadowlands Arena, this is the little link which I thought was quite interesting and a little nod to the past. Summerslam 1989 most notably was held in The Meadowlands Arena and has on numerous other occasions held WWF/WWE events, anywho here is the logo for what was once The Meadowlands Arena and now IZOD.

Last time I was home on leave, Smackdown was in town and I had never gone to watch wrestling live before but I have always wanted to because I grew up watching WCW/WWF/ECW and some of WWE. It was a good experience but an awful show. It was the week that Big Show got that paint dumped on him and his tour bus/RV got put up on bricks by the champion. I was hoping to see some big names there, no such luck.

This week started off with the Sheamus/Orton v Big Show match... which I thought was strange considering the days events in Boston.

 

The Big Show v Sheamus/Orton

-Not a bad match but we've seen these three in various combinations so much that it's not that different, not that reviving feuds is a bad thing, but when the subject of the feud is lame then so feud becomes lame. Orton takes the win after a Brogue Kick and then an RKO.

 

3MB call out The Shield... dumbf*cks... they get Brock Lesnar instead even worse... or is the attempt by WWE to try and punt 3MB up the field worse. Anywho Brock plants them all, the result is The Walrus comes out to try and set up the rematch with Triple H at Extreme Rules. I'd love that to happen and for during the match Triple H plays his cards and out comes a returning Dave in MMA mode to the rescue and beat down Brock for a proper fight... not that it would happen as Dave off to do filming shortly

 

Talking of

 

Kofi v Cesaro - US Title

-Seriously did Cesaro p*ss in Vinny's Caesar Salad, they are screwing him... No Wrestlemania, getting him to still f*cking yodel, then get him to drop the strap to Kofi Unless they actually build him up and maybe get him to have a shot at the WWE title or the WHC, I'll let WWE off the hook, as a Cesaro v Cena feud would work, provided they drop the f*cking yodeling there would be nothing worse than Cena ripping that one. But then Cesaro v Ziggler feud would be good as well as Cesaro can sell moves as well and it could mean finally the face turn from Ziggler.

 

Ziggler cuts an in ring promo, which was badly worded, "how could I top myself..." erm yeah badly worded.

 

Ziggler v Del Rio - Rematch

-Didn't happen as Swagger comes out to have a beef with Del Rio, setup for Triple Threat at Extreme Rules coming up.

 

PTP v Hell No

-Seen this a few times and it's about time they actually did something with PTP and the whole aborted plan to revitalize the tag division. Hell No win.

 

Ryback cuts a long promo which was good and I do agree with a few IWC reports which also stated it was good but Ryback's heavy breathing is a little over the top.

 

Wade v Truth

-Poor match, poor aborted finish to the match, Truth won it apparently even though nobody knew it.

 

Khali/Santino v The Rhodes Scholars

-Sandow takes the win, and really needs a better angle now, he's very established now so doesn't need a partner like Rhodes to boost him, if anything Sandow is boosting Rhodes

 

WWE murder Fandangoing next, if they left it alone it would work, but they highlight it and considering they are still pushing Fandango as a heel it makes it worse. Anywho Fandango has a new dancer... thought they might bring in Summer Rae from NXT, but I'm kinda hoping they bring her and Paige up and continue their feud. Anywho the rest of the promo was poor due the over-whoring they just did.

 

Swagger v Ziggler

-Only made good by Ziggler otherwise crap, cheap finish by Swagger for the win, to be honest I could see Big E feuding with him to really plant him. Del Rio has the last word by arm barring him over the stage.

 

CM Punk make his "I'm off on my holibobs for while... see you soon" speech. Get the impression this was re-written quickly and wasn't a "pipebomb" considering the Boston events.

 

Nikki v Kaitlyn

-Official The Bellas contract has a 90% win ratio clause in it, in a normal situation Kaitlyn would churn either or both of them.

 

Cena comes out to have his say and during this the technical crew bodge by showing The Shield backstage, which the announce crew had to cover... whoops. Anywho usual bantering and they are trying to turn Ryback heel, which I don't think is working that well, probably because of the heat Cena gets. The Shield make they appearance which weren't expecting and they beat down Cena while Ryback watches. Still don't think Ryback is finished with The Shield

 

 

Justin Gabriel v Leo Kruger

-Another match in their series, again this is a good match and Kruger is showing some good skills and form in the ring and I could see him getting the push to the big leagues soon. I don't know if they would continue his theme but I think he could pull it off and either bring the Gabriel feud up with them or put him in a feud with someone like Kofi to start off with, or enhance his mercenary theme and have be a 'man for hire' so he takes on anyone. Kruger does get the win to take this series 2-0 so Justin will probably get the next one.

 

A nice good long promo from the Wrestlemania Axxess events from the NXT point of view, during which we see Big E sporting his support of Cesaro by wearing the Tee... hopefully we might get a trend going.

 

Paige cuts a backstage promo building up her feud with Summer Rae, when out of nowhere Summer blind sides her and accepts her challenge.

 

Bayley v Emma

-Good match, Emma is getting a cult following for being a clumsy girl who always seems out of sync, she too could easily get a boost up the card to the main roster. But then WWE don't give a sh*t about Divas, Tag Teams and the Mid cards, hopefully the creative shake ups and boost NXT is getting with a new training facility. Emma gets the win with an awesome bridge submission move.

 

Yoshi v Bray Wyatt

-A quick match which was a squash for Bray... poor Yoshi. Bray was dominant throughout the short match and shows some freaky sh*t which would translate well in the big leagues.

 

Seth Rollins v Corey Graves (Lumberjack match - of which I only recognised one)

-Quite an even match which Graves could well easily of won, however Rollins did win the match as he had given his Shield mates the night off, now remember how I said I only recognised one, well it was obvious why, as The Shield weren't given the night off. Beat down ensues on the outside, the ref is distracted and Ambrose takes down Graves and then Rollins gets the win.

 

 

(Jobbers) Battle Royal for a shot at the IC title

Gabriel, The Uso's, The Colons, Santino, Alex Riley, Khali, Yoshi, Jinder and Drew all take part. Gabriel wins, which is good he's actually been entrusted to have a shot at a proper title, but that aside I'll use this to have a rant at Cena... yeah, Cena. Seriously Alex Riley is a talented wrestler he's got the look and the skills and with some work the mic skills, and I ain't no scout like JR but he does have that "It" factor, but it seems that due to backstage politics and an argument with Cena he's been shafted to the shadows

 

Wade v Justin - IC Title

-Not a bad match, Justin was definitely the highlight, if it wasn't for the fact they probably don't want to play pass the parcel with the strap it would have been good for Justin to get the shock win and take the title from Wade, but it didn't happen, even though it would have been good for the show as Main Event is losing some of the shine it was billed to have when it started.

 

 

Tons of Funk v The Colons

-The Raw dark match this week was the usual faces get the win formula, some good moves throughout and Tons of Funk are working nicely as a Tag Team, they do get the win unsurprisingly although The Colons did get the upper hand on Tensai for quite a large chunk of the match.

 

Tamina v Natalya

-Good powerful Diva's match in which Natty isn't getting wasted hanging around with Khali as this 'girlfriend' role... pretty sure Tyson Kidd would have something to say about that anyway Tamina did dominate large portions of this one, but Natty got the win with Uncle Brets sharpshooter and then when Natty goes to celebrate no prizes for guessing where this guy was looking

 

 

 

Fandango opens things up which is "Weird", but his whole segment with Lillian was even "Weirder"... but then again the ring announcer could have been Tony Chimel and that would have been beyond "Weird"

 

Fandango v Santino

-Good 'ol comedy match, some people hate these matches and want 100% serious, I don't mind them one bit provided they actually do make it funny which this kinda was. Anywho the match itself was good and Fandango got the win... he can wrestle which isn't "weird".

(PS the Weird references are to his Johnny Curtis NXT days which were... weird.)

 

Booker and Teddy are having a beef backstage... guess Booker doesn't like tag team matches playa, playa.

 

Kofi v Wade

-Not a bad match, fairly back and forth, Kofi got the win after what was a good move by Wade, not much else to say on this one.

 

Backstage segment with Mark Henry in which Sheamus gets his revenge on Henry with a good little attack mocking Henry's previous attack on Henry.

 

Del Rio v Swagger... again

-Actually not a bad match and was much, much better than their Wrestlemania match up, if they did this at Wrestlemania it might have been more interesting. Del Rio finally got the win with a small package, he also got the pin fall... te-he

 

The Shield cut a promo calling out The Undertaker with reference to the Cena/Ryback incident. They are acting all confident, however I think that they will lose their first match this Monday. Although Smackdown's Main Event is The Shield v Orton/Sheamus/Taker (courtesy of the adverts for Tuesdays events, with Tuesday being Smackdowns taping day)

 

Khali/Swoggle/Natty v The Colons and Rosa

-Kind of match which is hard to describe, nothing really stood out, it was a short match which Khali got the win over Epico, done.

 

Henry/Big Show v Orton/Sheamus

-Making this a proper Tag Match made it better than the handicap match earlier this week, they're all veterans now, even Sheamus who technically is the newbie of the group, so there was nothing unusual about this, made it a a steady match. Show and Henry got the win after Show got the Chokeslam on Orton. We should see a tag match of Tons of Funk v Show/Henry... ring reinforcement to the rescue.

 

 

Kofi v Justin

-A face v face match... or a hint of Kofi v a face as he's rumored to be turning heel (about bloody time an all). Was quite an an aerial match and lots of fast moves and even a good double drop kick, interesting the Kofi chants through parts of the match, it would be good if they did match a couple of more times and turned Kofi heel, if they did this it might actually boost Justin as a much higher face. There were also Ziggler chants as he was on commentary. Kofi got the win with an SOS, which I always find a move which is just a botch waiting to happen.

 

Then we get a build up next weeks match, which is the same as thee matches up from this briefing.
