That'd be a pretty interesting ladder match stipulation Gareth, it's going to be hilarious if Extreme Rules has better build up to it then the biggest PPV of the year, honestly I can't see WWE having any worse build up to a PPV then WrestleMania has had this year.

I heard that all it was, was just RyBack beating Primo and Epico and Swagger beating Kofi Kingston by submission. Everything else was stuff from WrestleMania axxess.

There was two versions of Smackdown this week, one was a "Road To Wrestlemania Special" which was exclusively past Wrestlemania events, like Cena v Batista (WM26) and Edge v Undertaker (WM24) (which I forgot how awesome that match was), then there was another version with only two real matches, Ryback v The Colons and Swagger v Kofi, the rest was as Shenny said all axxess stuff and interviews.

RAW was better than the usual shows we've been getting for a while. Loved how Swagger and Colter beat up ADR and kept screaming "Welcome to Jack Swagger's America!". Some America that is.

 

Cena and Rock were boring as always. Also thinking about what I said earlier, Cena/Rock is NOT better than Punk/Rock. At least with the latter we've seen them face to face, we've seen them beat each other up BEFORE their PPV match. And the RR promo was awesome.

 

And the ending. It might just be one of the best endings of any PG-era show, after MITB '11.

 

 

As for predictions, I'll predict the matches which don't have "predictable" outcomes/can go either ways:

 

Sh-Ort-Mus vs. The Shield

 

Yeah, the Shield's streak will live - for now. I agree with Gareth's Orton heel turn scheme. We might just see a Big Show face turn [and hopefully another feud with Henry.]

 

The Undertaker vs. CM Punk

 

I don't even want to think about a WM without an Undertaker match. Anyways I'm rooting for the Undertaker, considering the whole Bearer storyline and last RAW's ending.

Anyways there's no better way to get hyped up for WM than watching some classic [recent] matches. I'll start with the most anticipated match, CM Punk vs The Undertaker.

 

To me, the most exciting streak match was WM27's Taker vs HHH. This was the only match where I was %100 convinced that the streak was over. At the point where Triple H hits Taker with the piledriver, I wasn't at the edge of my seat anyone - I genuinely thought it's over. And considering the storyline and the previous two WM matches, it was pretty convincing. Anyways here's the promo (which was an awesome promo) and the match. 50 minutes but it's damn worth the time.

 

 

 

 

As for WM28's match, it was a classic - not as the previous, but it was really great. The moment where HHH pedigrees Taker and HBK with the sweet chin music - awesome.

USA Network on Tuesday, it will be a shortened edition, I don't think we're going to get Booker-T or Bob Backlunds induction but we'll get everyone elses, until the DVD version comes out and we'll get the lot.

Only one match this week, with it being Wrestlemania week, this was all mainly preview stuff, even then the match itself almost looked like a repeat as this is a typical undercard match

 

Khali v JTG

-Nothing spectacular, Khali won, JTG jobbed.

 

Shortest review so far.

 

 

Two versions of Smackdown this week, a Road to Wrestlemania version which was all matches from previous Wrestlemanias. Then there a proper edition... well semi proper, as there was a few in-ring stuff but the rest was JBL and Cole giving preview stuff of Wrestlemania and the Axxess events.

 

Ryback v The Colons

-2 on 1 handicap match, in which the outcome was never in doubt, simple enough squash match for Ryback even though the Colons pulled off some good moves during this.

 

During the previews there was a clip about Fandango interrupting the Press Conference and instead of his usual dancer (who apparently has been given an office job at HQ), she has been replaced with Summer Rae from NXT, who apparently according to rumour might be his "dancer" from here on out, which I hope might be a good sign. Why, well everyone who watches NXT regularly wants Paige to be promoted to the Roster and if they continue the feud with Jericho and Fandango after Wrestlemania perhaps Jericho will introduce Paige as his partner which for a change would make sense as Paige and Summer Rae are feuding in NXT, and we'll get page promoted and hopefully shake up the Diva's division.

 

We then get a segment from Tons of Funk.. lol it's actually Sandow and Rhodes dressed and Tons of Funk and The Bellas pretending to be the Funkadactyls (sans 'blacking up' thankfully), although the arse padding was badadonkadonking good, good stuff actually. Then Tons of Funk make themselves known and do the usual clearing the ring thing.

 

Kofi v Swagger

-The second and last match of the night was Swagger v Kofi, which to be honest is much more in Swaggers level in the pecking order, no offense to Kofi as he's a solid mid-carder these days, he could be better but he needs a heel run to shake his thing up a little. Kofi dominated a large majority of the match and as always for a go home show Swagger as the heel wins out.

 

 

Ryback v Sandow

-Good solid match with both of them showing that in few years they will be main eventers, not that this match was really stand out, they showed that they can pull of a solid performance with the right balance of chemistry. Ryback obviously won.

 

Cody Rhodes v Kane

-Seen this a few times and this match was no different, good solid match with Kane eventually taking the win. Rhodes again, I'm still not getting, but then I don't think that he's been given the right gimmick now or in the past, all that I'm too pretty stuff and then being very generic with his other gimmicks, nothing has actually stuck yet, hopefully they'll find a right gimmick for him and he'll be a good watch.

Lets get a prediction thread going here, I'll kick things off myself:

 

WWE Championship:

The Rock vs John Cena: 2 ways I can see this going, Cena winning and gaining the respect of the Rock or Rock winning and Cena finally snapping and turning heel!

 

World Championship:

Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger: Think Del Rio will retain but can see Ziggler cashing in after the match or on RAW the night after.

 

The Undertaker vs CM Punk: Gotta be Taker winning this one, can't see WWE booking otherwise.

 

Triple H vs Brock Lesnar (No Holds Barred match; if Triple H loses, he must retire) Triple H to win this one, don't feel he is ready to retire as of yet, will be a brutal match I think.

 

Ryback vs Mark Henry: Ryback winning this to give him a WrestleMania moment, hitting the Shell Shock on Henry will do that.

 

Sheamus, Randy Orton & Big Show vs The Shield: I Think the Shield will come out on top after Randy Orton turns on his team mates and finally turns heel once more.

 

Chris Jericho vs Fandango: Think this could well be match of the night, could go either way this one, But I think Jericho to win but he will make Fandango look a million bucks.

 

WWE Tag Team Championship:

Team Hell No vs Dolph Ziggler & Big E Langston: This match seems like it could have AJ and Kaitlyn added to it to set up a 6 person tag with the Tag titles and Divas title on the line, Could see new Tag and Diva champ here.

 

WWE Intercontinental Championship:

Wade Barrett vs The Miz: Gutted this match is moved onto the pre show but hopefully Barrett retains, wouldn't be shocked if Miz won though to keep up his mini push.

 

Brodus Clay, Tensai, Naomi & Cameron vs Team Rhodes Scholars & The Bella Twins: Clay, Tensai, Naomi & Cameron to go over and have a big dance at the end with some fans and/or legends.

I want a US Title Match though.
