P. Willis looks like a beast. If Denver trades up and gets him their defense should be set for next season besides 1 spot at D-Line.

Strong safety, left end, right end and right corner all look weak as well.

They are better off at corner now than they were last year. Dre Bly is way better than Darrent Williams.

I don't think so. Dre Bly is on the downside of his career now. Darrent Williams was quickly becoming one of the better corners in the league.

Plus your secondary suffers if you don't have a pass rush.

Man Quinn is still on the board. Where the heck can he go?

Jets. Any Jets fans on this board? That would be hilarious. The Dolphins pass on the next Dan Marino, and he goes to the Jets.

Wow, Browns trade next year's 1st round pick to get Brady Quinn. Good draft for the Browns.

Good move by the Cowboys as well, they'll probably end up with a top 16 pick next year, atleast.

It's official... The Lions have the worst sports organization... ever.

But I give props to the Browns. Joe Thomas and Brady Quinn? Team of the future if everything goes right. Quinn, Droughbs(sp?), Edwards, Winslow, Bentley and Thomas. Nice.

Also, I hope Dwayne Jarrett, Robert Eacherm or Sidney Rice is avaible by Cowboys next pick.

They got the best player, by far, in the draft.

Good move by the Browns. That's all I have to say.

Sucks for Quinn that he slid low, but the Browns were smart by knowing no other team would take a QB, and they trade up, and get their man. Joe Thomas was an excellent pick as well.

Ravens got some OG. Grubbs or something. We needed an OL, 'cause ours are getting mighty old.

Not to mention the Browns have desperately needed a good quarterback for quite some time now (Charlie who?). It was very smart of them to take Brady Quinn when they did.

I think Detroit is in the same boat with Cleveland in that they need a good QB, so I don't understand why they took yet another wide receiver this year. Your deep threats are no good without someone who can throw to them. confused.gif

Yep. Detroit just hasn't had a good QB in a very, very, very long time. Mediocre QB's have passed through MoTown.

-Batch

-Harrington

-McMahon

-Garcia (though he was injured early in that season).

-Kitna (current)

The only good QB in that bunch, is Garcia.

They might get someone in the late rounds to fill that void, because Jon Kitna, isn't worth much.

Sidney Rice and Adrian Peterson. I think Wylff is trying to lose the whole fan base so he could move his team out of Minnesota.

Raiders good draft so far. Jamarcus Russel and Zach Miller. I kind of wished for Posluszny but another 4th rounder is nice.

My dad is a Vikings fan, and he was livid when they passed on Brady Quinn. He wanted to break something. The Vikings made a bad pick. I would say running back is a need, but with Quinn still available, you have no reason to pass on him. A true franchise signal caller. Tavarias Jackson will be nothing more than a journyman back-up.

By the way, I loved that Colts pick. Anthony Gonzalez will flourish as a Colt.

No doubt. But why? They have 2 good receivers, why add another one? Don't let Furrey's catches fool you; note: why they had the 2nd pick. They need a QB should've gotten Quinn.

Plus, wasn't Charlie Rodgers and Mike Williams supposed to have been the "Best Receivers" in their drafT? sigh.gif

Mike Martz said Quinn isn't his type of quarterback, so he wasn't going to take him. There were questions about Quinn's accuracy. The Lions also traded Mike Williams and Josh McCown for a 4th round pick, so he's gone, and Mike Furrey was only a stop-gap solution. Calvin Johnson will be a superstar in the long run.

Good point. It's really close. I'd have to wait and see how tomorrow turns out.

I think the Panthers had a good draft, trading down and still was able to draft the player they wanted in the first round, and Dwayne Jarrett will be a good #3 option at WR behind Keyshawn and Steve Smith.

So it seems the AFC West is all about young QBs.

I don't understand why Denver traded up 4 spots from 21 to 17. They could've traded Moss at 21 anyway.

I love this trade. Oakland gets a 4th round pick and the Patriots get a talented wide receiver. He might not have done so well the past couple of years in Oakland, but that's because he was in Oakland. With Brady throwing him the ball, he'll be great. Additionally, I think the main reason he had such a bad attitude last year was the fact that he had no shot of winning anything. The Patriots have a great shot of winning the Superbowl this year, and I think that will change Moss's attitude (just like Dillon).

The Patriots were within 2 minutes of getting to the Superbowl last year with one of the worst recieving corps in the league. Now they have Randy Moss and Dante Stallworth, with Wes Welker playing the slot.

I would've liked this trade also. Randy Moss would have killed the morale of that team, if there even is a morale anymore. It's basically a team compiled of free agents.

Well, I don't know. I recall Corey Dillon having a bit of mouth on him when he was a Bengal, and the season following his move to New England, they won another Super Bowl. Granted Randy Moss is probably a bit more outspoken than Dillon was in Cincinnati, I'm not entirely convinced that he wouldn't have adapted himself to Belichick's offense, as it's proved very successful and he just might have learned the art of keeping his mouth shut and doing what's in the best interest of the team. If it worked for number 28, it might have worked for number 18.

I think it's too bad for Randy that the deal fell through. Even with JaMarcus Russell as their newest addition, I see Oakland being a still-rebuilding team for a couple seasons more at least, and I'm not sure Moss is going to be that patient. If a championship is what he wants the most (very likely, I would say), then he would be much better off with the Patriots.

Dillon wasn't as bad in Cincinatti has everyone made him out to be. The reason he wanted out was because Rudi Johnson was given the starting job after Corey got hurt, and the Bengals refused to cut him the following off-season.

By the way, ESPN is reporting the trade did go through, so the Boston report is probably wrong. They usually are. Boston sports media is terrible, I promise never to cite them again.

Ah, well, if it did in fact go through, I think Randy is much better off with new England than he is in Oakland (though I'm sure you, as a Colts fan, hate to see him sign with them wink.gif ). I reckon Oakland needs to start from scratch anyway (can they cut Janikowski already? Guy misses more field goals than a drunk, peg-legged pirate in a high wind).
