Dasutin
I hope you don't think the Broncos will stand in their way. If anything, I want the Broncos in the playoffs. The Colts can rest their starters that week.
gta_player5
The Colts' defense looked really solid last night from what I saw. I did not watch the game because I past out a little bit into the first quarter but watching the highlights a few times, they looked strong. That's strange considering they lost Harper, June, and maybe one other person I can't remember. (Am I right on that Das?) Wherever the ball was, there were a few guys in blue, and they kept pressure on Brees all game. If they continue to play like that I believe we will see a repeat, because they held the NFL's best offense from last season to 10 points. That defense with that offense spells for a great team. The offense, what is there to say? Manning is great and they have the best wide receiver duo in the league. Harrison and Wayne are better than everyone else, even Chad Johnson and TJ Houshmandzadeh, better than Tory Holt and Isaac Bruce, better than everybody. If the defense keeps this up, and the offense does what they do best, I would not be surprised to see the Colts go back-to-back Superbowl wins. tony da boss
If they continue to play like that I believe we will see a repeat, because they held the NFL's best offense from last season to 10 points. They really held the offense only to three points, the Saint's defense scored a touch down on a fumble recovery. This team is looking extremely good. The only chance I see for someone else winning it this year is if Mannng breaks his legs, or someone else has a really good day against them in the playoffs like the Steelers a couple years ago. And Peyton Manning in every single f*cking commercial is starting to get ridiculous. Edited September 7, 2007 by TDP992
Dasutin
That's strange considering they lost Harper, June, and maybe one other person I can't remember. (Am I right on that Das?) They also lost Jason David, whom they torched in that game for three touchdowns, and Booger McFarland went down with an injury in training camp. Booger was replaced by Ed Johnson, and I have to say, it's one of the best steals I've ever seen. Undrafted, and I can't figure out why. He's playing a nose tackle role, lining up over center, and did an excellent job clogging up the middle and helping to keep the best running back duo in the league to just 3.5 yard per carry. Every new starter on defense this year is better than the guy that left via free agency. Without question, the biggest loss was Cato June. His replacement, Freddy Keiaho, had six tackles, an interception, and a pass deflection. And I'm sure you saw it, he was the guy that blew up Jon Stinchcomb in the backfield, and tackled Reggie Bush through him. Jason David's replacement will be better by default and we will see next week the same is true with Nick Harper. Hayden and Jackson weren't seen a lot in last nights game, but with corners... that's usually a good thing. They also lost Gilbert Gardner, Mike Doss, and Montae Reagor, but all three were replaced at some point last season. The Booger loss worried me a little, but after last night, I have more than enough confidence in this defense. They're going to be very good this year. Attorney General
I grew up in northeast Texas, so I'm Cowboys all the way. Hell yes. My old man is a die hard Cowboys fan. In the 90's, amidst a whole bunch of 2-14 Bengal seasons, he got me watching the Boys...and they became my NFC team. Those were the days, man, I remember that O-line with Nate Newton, Erik Williams and Mark "the NORML ambassador" Stepnoski. Jay Novacek and Moose Johnson kicked ass too...and the Triplets need no intro. Charles Haley, Leon Lett and Russell Maryland on that D-line and J-Dub, Kenny Norton and Primetime used to wreak havoc on any and all offenses. Michael Irvin is, no question, my favorite receiver of all time. He was truly fearless going across the middle. I live about an hour south of Philly, and I rock my Irvin jersey constantly on the week prior to a Eagles-Cowboys game. The treacherous bastards around here get all worked up...and threaten my life...but it's all good, I'll do just about anything to get under the skin of the most rotten fans I know of. gta_player5
Thank god for whoever bought stat tracker. If one person buy it, not everybody gets it unless the commissioner buys it for the league, and I'm sure Rocky would have said if he bought it. I believe that at the beginning of the season they give you a week or two of free Stat Tracker to try and get you to buy it, I'm pretty sure that's what has been done in the past. gta_player5
God damn Miami, why did you have to lose to the Redskins? I had that chalked up as a win, and you go and lose in overtime. Damn. Also, I'm probably going to lose this week against Burning-Ice because Stephen Jackson can't hold on to the damn football. He went on ESPN a couple of weeks ago making an argument why he thought he should be the number one pick in FFL's, and then the first week out he gets 58 yards, and loses 2 fumbles. I only got one point from him because he made a tackle! If he hadn't made that tackle or had one reception I'd have negative points from him! Damn. [/rant] Good game Burning-Ice, I'm conceding victory.
GTA3Rockstar
40 and I are pretty much tied right now but the thing is, he already had his quarterback Tom Brady play. I got big points from Travis Henry and Minnesota with the two defensive TDs.

gta_player5
Matt Leinart better do well tomorrow otherwise I am going to be kicking myself for not starting Ben Roethlisberger. Also, I need another player to add to my bench. I'm going to be dropping Reggie Williams because they say that he is going to have to scratch and claw his way back to having any fantasy value. My only problem is, I don't know who to add out of the players in the free agent pool. @Rocky: They were playing the Jets! Start him!

Forty
Romo throws four f*cking touchdowns and not a single one to his new #2 Patrick Crayton. Douche bag. I'm putting a lot of money on Portis having less carries this year due to health issues, leaving room for his excellent backup Ladell Betts (my RB2) to get more playing time. If that doesn't pan out, the FA RB market is thin as f*ck.
gta_player5
Kevin Everett's mom hopeful of Bills player's recovery: 'He's like a miracle' Something that was so bad may actually have an ending better than anybody could have expected. That is great that he is able to voluntarily move his arms and legs, and that he could at some point lead a normal life once again. That's a good story, and a miracle too considering they at one point feared for his life. I'm pulling for him, as I expect we all were, you never want to see a player go down on the field and like one of the Bills' players said "not give that thumbs up that they all give as they go off of the field." Again, this is just great.
Attorney General
Man, this is great news. Yesterday, the outlook was dismal for Everett. To hear that he is progressing is fantastic news. You never want to see a guy lose his livelihood, and though he'll probably never play football again, it appears as if the man should be able to lead a normal life. More power to him. And Dasutin, whew, did you have me sweating those Monday night games...especially after Housh had a big game. That, my friend, was a friggin shootout. I'm just glad I got you on an off week for Benson and LJ. Oh, and you were right about the cable upgrade to get the NFL Network...it was cheap. Thanks for the heads up. Anybody know who the Office Linebackers are in our fantasy league?
gta_player5
Anybody know who the Office Linebackers are in our fantasy league? That would be me. I should have started Roethlisberger, if I did that I could have had a much better shot at winning. I'm disappointed this week, but also the fact that Steven Jackson got me 1 point didn't help. gta_player5
Sorry for the double post. Dolphins find 'safety' in numbers. By signing former Jaguar Donovin Darius and former Titan Lamont Thompson. I'm happy about these signings, they will undoubtedly help the secondary, which needed some help. Now the defense is looking even better than before. Also, Trent Green looked pretty good last week, maybe we could do decently this season. I'm not predicting a Super Bowl, but I think it will add competition to the wild card.
Attorney General
I saw they scooped Darius today. Sweet move...him, Taylor, Thomas and Porter on the same squad...should be more than formidable. Not probable that the Phins steal a wild-card spot...but hey, it's possible. gta_player5
Yeah, that's why I'm thinking that they might cause more competition for the wild card, because it's another team. I think that the Broncos will get the wild card.
Attorney General
My guess is that it'll be the Broncos...and whoever takes second place in the AFC North...be it the Ravens, Steelers or my Bengals. Nonetheless, still a very nice pickup you guys. By the way...we have a nice little showdown this week in fantasy, you and I. Well, I wish you luck...and may you be victorious.......starting next week.
