I was pretty dissapointed about the Titans losing. I was at the game and I knew they were going to lose before it even started, I could smell it. But anyways Mat the Rat had a good game (obviously) and well I am sure we will improve for next week.

Without Campbell you never really had a chance.

It did cap my week of tipping nicely - another 6/8 to add to the collection, and 13th place out of 49988.

Blind Joe Death

A sad, sad, sad day for New Zealand Rugby. Both South African teams are through to the Grand Final (Bulls, Sharks) while the two New Zealand teams got defeated (Crusaders, Blues) in the Super 14.

I think the Blues certainly had a chance through the game until the clock hit too 60 minutes. After that the Sharks just ran away with it. And with the Crusaders well, I didn't watch it as I fell asleep but seeing what the score was like I am guessing they played dreadful.

A PS3 for first place overall, and a PSP if I manage first place in any given week.

I can see that happening. So what's the dill with that week? Do those 17 people who got 7 get a PSP each?

Mick Gray could do with a little visit... mwahah

I got the Sydney, Brisbane and West Coast losses wrong, so I ended up with 5/8. Five is about par, with anything more a bonus. But seriously, as if Crows won. As if Saints won. Geelong deserved to win, I should have given them more credit.

@ya mum: They did better than the Australian teams. Oy vey.

The week isn't over yet.

But yeah, of all those that get a perfect round (8/8), the one with the closest estimated margin wins the PSP. You see, everyone has to pick a points differential for the first match of every round. For instance, I picked Manly to beat the Eels by 13, yet they won by 10. My margin is three - anyone who got closer would be ranked ahead of me should we tie on points.

Go right ahead with the visit to Mick Gray, and congrats on making par.

Ah yeah that's what goes down in the AFL ones, I never give it much consideration and put a number below 10 and if there is a drubbing I'm f*cked. Lucky for me a lot of games have been really close recently.

Haha I'm still going to need more than 6 per round till the end if I have any chance of winning the beer vouchers. Wah.

Haha a sh*tload of people got 1 this round, looks like people forget to put their tips in. I'm regretting only putting serious tips into one competition now, I would be in the top 20 on 35 points instead of 141st on 30 sad.gif

Go the Blues.

Mullen played absolutely sh!t and Queensland dominated the 2nd half to win the first game of the series.

He hardly played sh*t. He didn't manage to find the grass with his kicking game for the best part of an hour, but he settled in alright after that. A better debut, it must be said, than a certain Queenslander Justin Hodges' a few years back, eh? tounge.gif

You guys deserved to win. That it was only by seven is a disgrace to your star-studded team. Anthony Minichiello sh*tted all over Hunt (worst Australian fullback ever), in one of the more positive signs for a New South Welshman. And apart from that brain explosion, Hayne had a decent game. Kurt was disappointing, especially in that he might be out for the season with a potentially broken shoulder. In fact, all the Knights played below their best in a disappointing night for a Novocastrian and a New South Welshman.

What proof do you have of that?

FuJu is talking about the Mullen family...

Jayzamann found that a little bit tricky to ascertain, as the comment was directly after the vagina/clowncar image

Jayzamann is forgiven and FuJu admits it was an ambiguously placed comment

Jayzamann tipped correctly in the Fremantle/St. Kilda game

Jayzamann sincerely wishes that he has continued success all weekend

That makes one of us.

0/2 for the round after 4/6 last week, meaning I'm now back in 20th place after rocking for a week at second. sad.gif

Crimson King

f*cking hell, I'm so angry. Why don't channel 9 have regional broadcasts on Sundays? They're showing Panthers v Tigers in Queensland, which will no doubt be about as interesting as a lone tennis player.

And I just checked the live scores from the Broncos v Knights game and after 78mins it's 65 - 6. That's right. That's close to one point a minute. I'm so angry I'm about to explode.

Brisbane 65 T: Carroll 2, Hannant, Civoniceva, Tate 2, Hodges 2, Hunt, Eastwood, Moon

G: Lockyer 3/3, Parker 4/5, Ennis 3/3, Lockyer 1fg

Newcastle 6 T: Mullen

G: Paterson 1/1

At least now Broncos p/d will start to become more respectable. Perhaps they're finally getting their act together. But then again, they always seem to give Knights a flogging. Semi's last year icon14.gif

Edit - mad.gif full time score 71 - 6.

What's the record?

Edit 2 - The Parramatta Eels set the records for the highest score and margin of victory in a 74–4 victory over the Cronulla Sharks on 23 August 2003.

Close but no cigar.

I hate everything Queensland.
