Justin
Sydney are up 4-2 in the most exciting football match I have ever witnessed. Beckham's goal was a gem, as usual. Bah, you need to get out more. I've seen better. Australia's 3-1 World Cup finals win over Japan comes to mind... Good match all the same. Also, I did end up getting to the Jets - Mariners match. Not bad either, as far as scoreless draws go.
crazyanurag
Football in Australia is a joke. Like Indian cricket. That said, I hope the Aussies are getting ready for the hiding of the decade this summer. You'll Never Walk Alone
Stefan.
Football in Australia is a joke. Excuse me? Have you actually been to Australia and watched an Australian football match? You may think it's not popular here; boy you were wrong. It is popular, even though it's not as popular as it is in England yet. We have good players, a very popular league (A-League) and can manage to attrac various international players. So please, unless you've actually watched an Australian A-League match or been to Australia, then don't make any smart-arse comments about us. @Justin: Well, I was on the plane from Europe when that match was being played, so I missed out. But Beckham's goal was, still, a gem.
Justin
crazy's just playing. And if not... *shakes fist* He's pretty funny though. Like that joke about the Australian cricket team having to prepare for a hiding! Comedy gold!

Jay
Kudos to Beckham. Anyone that can generate enough hype to get me interested in soccer (let alone speed home from work to see the game) and then live up to it certainly deserves all the admiration and fistfuls of cash that we can throw at him. crazyanurag
Football in Australia is a joke. Excuse me? Have you actually been to Australia and watched an Australian football match? Yo, Stefan, relax mate. I've been watching Australian football for 7/8 years now, though I've never been to the country. I've seen the national team play, know all about the players playing in different parts of the world, and generally keep up with even the old farts playing in the S-League. The question is, have you ever been to India and seen a cricket match? If you've even heard of how cricket is in India, you should know how the analogy that I put up is plain funny. In fact, you could say it's quite smart-arse. Anyway, it was just a shout to FuJu and Jayza. Just playing, as the former said. Even so, the Aussies better be prepared for the express pace of Ganguly and Pathan come December/January. You'll Never Walk Alone

Maybe. A million bucks a week is a LOT of cash to justify there -- and that's just his wage for playing for the Galaxy. Can't deny his goal was class though. @ zinger: Shut it. Also, catch up sometime? @ crazy: Express pace? Oh you!

Stefan.
@crazyanurag: Isn't it true that you burn down your cricketers' houses when they lost a match a while back? We made fun of our friend because of that fact. He told me that you lot do it to make your players better. I nailed him by saying: "If we burn down your tent (this was at school camp), does that make you better at cricket?" Silly tosser.
Justin
Also, catch up sometime? Yeah, maybe. I love the conviction in your tone there. "Yeah, I guess... If nothing better comes up." Also, Joel Griffiths is my hero.

Stefan.
That's crap. 3-1? Psht, at least we were better off than the Jets. Goodbye Victory's hopes of top 4. Nonetheless, who cares when the golf is on.

Justin
That video was funny. What skit show was that off? The Chaser's War on Everything. I got Foxtel in time to watch that match. Totally not worth it. Devastating.
Mav.
lol @ Adelaide v Melbourne. Sucks for United considering they all but had it in the bag. Melbourne were playing all over them though, so a draw was probably a fair result.

I watched every game of the round this week -- loving Fox -- and it's fair to say that the Jets game was the most boring I've seen in quite a while. Very disappointing. I'm a bit bummed that the Roar beat Central Coast as now those two have both skipped clear.

Awesome free kick though. All the Melbourne supporters around me even agreed.

Stefan.
Man, that was a hundred times better than Beckham's free kick. I can't argue; it was good. I agree; I was honestly gutted. We played all over Newcastle; Thompson was so unlucky. Nonetheless, time to congratulate Newcastle for ending our season.
