Wallpaper from DeviantArt. Took off the dock and went a little more conventional. Also, I don't know if this works for everybody, but I downloaded StyleXP, FlyAKiteOSX, and the Vista Transformation Pack on the same day, and I don't know which program did it, but I can keep my styles and switch between them after the free trial of StyleXP ran out by going to the appearance tab in the display properties.

@Lt.Diablo: Is that XP? If so, you should try Blaero's Start Orb. It rounds out the start button to a full circle so that it sticks out a little above or below the taskbar, depending on where it's positioned.

Ahhh, thanks man, I never installed it with the transformation pack and I've been looking for it for a while. Muchly appreciated smile.gif

No problem, I found it a couple days ago by accident.

Just a suggestion, look into getting TweakUI or do the following registry hack. It'll get rid of the "Shortcut to" in the text/filename when you create a short cut

Start->Run type: regedit

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

if Link does not already exist, right-click in the right pane and select New->Binary Value

Name it "Link" (minus the quotes). Double click to modify and hit 0 (zero) 8 times, it should look like 00 00 00 00

Do the same at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer should make it system wide, no matter whose account is being used

Got my Macbook today, this think is awesome. Boots in around 20-30 seconds, big difference from my old XP box which took around 5 minutes to boot.

5mins? How much crap did you have installed on there?

Ever think to defrag?

lol, Even my 3 year old computer with a faulty IDE controller that will only boot with no drive on the slave channel of the primary IDE channel, and if I have a bootable CD in the drive (I have to have WinXP CD in the drive or I get Disk Boot Error, even if I don't press anything to boot disk) takes around a minute to boot, keep in mind it takes longer than it should (Most of the Minute is in the BIOS thing where its counting memory.

Pretty nice. I hate the taskbar at the top though, of course I don't really like it at the bottom either, that's why mine is on autohide.

It's more because I was bored of it being at the bottom and needed a change tounge.gif.

Anyway, I change my wallpaper way too much:

Not sure why that one looks washed out, this is the way it should (if it wasn't stretched out) look

Theme installed completely with Terminal. Pretty happy with myself right now, and I have a new sleek desktop. biggrin.gif

I have the same background in green. sigh.gif

Are you using gnome? How did you make the panel so thin?

Well it was set to that by default, but you can right-click>Properties>Size. You can then set the size (in pixels) in that box. smile.gif

Gone for a more serene wallpaper(s) today, can't decide which one, what do you guys think?

Also, I've been looking for something to drastically change the look of my desktop, not got anything so far, anyone got any recommendations? I was thinking about trying out linux but I'd rather not partition my HDD, at least until I get a new one.
