(Excuse the views; the official video had in excess of 25 Million views. However, were taken down due to a 'disagreement' between YouTube and Roadrunner Records.)

KEWL BR0!11!

I bought The Fathomless Mastery 3 weeks ago and I forgot I had it...I never listened to it. God I'm retarded.

By the way, my tickets came in the mail today.

I've told you this many times before.

Clutch/Red Fang show>You're stupid Atlanta show

That Clutch concert was probably the best show I've been to since Opeth/High on Fire. It was f*ckin' orgasmic.

How was Red Fang? They canceled their show here because one of the dudes was sick. I saw Clutch in December though, with Russian Circles and Viking Skull. It was awesome.

Rockstar North's DLC Metal additions to LCHC meet with my whole-hearted approval. I hope they keep up that good taste!

Anyone see Destruction before they tour here, let me know about the show!

f*ckin' great. Such authentic energy. Whatever that means, take it as you will.

Picked up Lamb of God's "Wrath" today...meh. "In Your Words" "Broken Hands" and the last track are the only ones worth listening to. Thankfuly, I bought "The Way of All Flesh" to balance that out. Coincidently enough, Randy Blythe is on there too....and coincidently, he completely ruins the song.

Who knew?

Master of Pain.
I finally listened to SMRC all the way through while reading the lyrics, and seeing whether all these "quantum satanics" should be taken seriously. I've concluded that a metaphorical interpretation is valid, in that Christianity is diametrically opposed to human nature, which is represented in a natural force called Satan. Thus the appropriation of scripture and the Latin mass effects great irony. Whether these musicians take this "theism" seriously is no matter, as their music is inferior to few and their philosophy much more profound than a typical anti-society Black Metal.

Scarface187
Dream Theater with TBA guests to drop by. I'm there. How are they live?

They're fantastic live. I thought they would be a tad boring but they really weren't. Not only are they dead on with every song but they sometimes tend to improvise some things. Not to mentions the lights and the screen they bring are awesome too. The animations on the screen are pretty cool. Granted I only saw them for 90 minutes cause it was part of Progressive Nation so they might have more on the menu when its just them and a couple guests.

Keep in mind this isn't PM, it's like an open letter to any metal heads who opt to read here, don't dig on him, man! Loosen up.

I recommend two metal Midwest acts,, hell, REALM, which had an LP titled "Suiciety", which my friend Erik "The Viking" claimed as "mint!!"

Anacrusis as mentioned, I chatted with a former member on YouTube, that was cool!

Last Crack as well.

For harder banging; Remember Defiance?

Funky metal Mordred?

Angkor Wat?

Cryptic Slaughter?

Gang Green?

How about the amusing SABBAT?

Just sounds like a critique of a new favorite Satanic metal band, to me

I want to give creedence for Relativity Records, who didn't just stick with metal, but signed on Adrian Legg for his solo works, which I collected.

They were later associated with (early on) COMBAT Records, who were a major player in the 1980s, I feel they contributed some great music acts... One of which is forgotten now, Abattoir (French for 'Slaughter House')

They were a worthy thrash act, I found out about hearing the track "Hammer of the Gods" on FM radio

Happy birthday Dr.Seuss!

In the kingdom of Norway, a far away land

You’ll find oh so many crap-tabulous bands!

There’s Darkthrone and Emperor, out on the fjords

All decked out in corpsepaint, with leather and swords!

There’s Gorgoroth, Burzum, and Mortiis to boot

Wearing his silly old skull-codpiece suit!

But first there was Mayhem, a quarrelsome group

Who looked hella evil but sounded like poop,

They burnt down some churches, they dug up some graves

Those black metal bozos just wouldn’t behave!

Varg killed Euronymous, Dead killed himself

It seems as though Metal was bad for their health!

Then Varg went to prison, turned into a Nazi

And changed his name lots of times, flippity-flopsy!

But black metal lived on, in spite of this sh*t

Murder and death didn’t work, not one bit!

If you listen closely, so late late at night

When the moon is all round and the wind is just right,

You’ll hear these same bozos, all singing along

Playing their flibbulous black metal songs!

Atlanta was the sh*t. I spent Friday partying at a friend's college (the booze is cheap as f*ckkkkk) and Saturday rocked ass. I learned Nachtmystium wasn't playing when I got there so that was a disappointment but other than that it was incredible.

I don't know if any of you have ever been at the venue but it was just weird as f*ck. There were 4 stages, one outside, 3 inside. The top one is called Heaven, middle called Purgatory (a sh*tty small stage) and the bottom one, Hell.

The highlights of the day were Pig Destroyer, Krallice, Wolves in the Throne Room, High on Fire, Neurosis and Mastodon. Neurosis was MAGNIFICENT. I was too drunk to see Converge, the room was filled to all f*ck but I managed to get in. I left for a bit to get ready for Mastodon.

Did I mention Mastodon played for AN HOUR AND 40 MINUTES? Oblivion and Divinations are two badass songs. Stay tuned.

Also the new Chimaira is fabulous. The new Vader is good and I just got the new Wolves but haven't listened yet.

Need moar death n roll. What I've been currently listening to:

Entombed - Wolverine Blues and To Riide, Shoot Straight, and Speak the Truth

Gorefest - Soul Survivor

Any other bands/other albums by those bands in the same vein?

I have the Entombed, I haven't seen that band in ages. I bought their limited EP after Clandestine, called Crawl. Then there was a two song CD; Stranger Eons. Also got Same Difference which is an odd listen. I met the guys had them autograph my cassette, also seen them play The Seventh Street Entry in Mpls... that is a classic, intimate setting and it KILLED!

Master of Pain.

Anyone listening to Necrophagist?

I like Necrophagist, honestly. Got both their discs and love them to death. To me it's kinda like power metal that took out the gay vocals and replaced them with awesome ones....on steroids. The fact that they play well is just an added bonus, it's still solid death metal to me. Honestly, it's amazing to see live, and doesn't bore me one bit. Though, if you're not there to see any kind of actual musicianship you might get bored. Braindrills a bit of a different story, I love their tunes, but have to be in the mood to throw the album on. It's chaotic as f*ck, and by the 9000th sweep I'm kinda like....alright, next cd.

Death n roll is non-existant. Wolverine Blues and To Ride is a f*cking sludge album, the Swedish press just didn't know what to call it back then.

I pulled out a Wildrags Catalog while cleaning, they had some great bands signed.

Sadistic Intent is one I saw live at Metalfest.

Great Kat was supposed to play there when I had trekked down to the two day Fest... She cancelled for unknown reasons. Never did see her live

I was hearing my selection of HellBastard's Heading toward Eternal Darkness... off a taping of the Root of Evil show, April 07.

I had it on CD, Earl Root had it on LP. Man, it kicks SO MUCH ASS!!

I was down filming the behind the scenes, as I had done a couple times. Brought back great memories.

Entombed themselves are really Death Metal. Most bands don't care to be labelled, the reason being it confines what they do, which is what we are looking at with those few albums, the band is breaking out beyond their 'box' that the media puts them in. Fans do too, sad to say.
